Satisfying Factory Machines That Do Amazing Things 

Is there a double like button?

I used to be a CNC-machinist and there is nothing more satisfying than watching your own program work perfectly and with high precision. Could never work with candy or chocolat though. I´d eat myself into an early grave. 😋

In 1972 I wanted to be a machinist. I got a job as a machinist apprentice. Then I noticed something important. I was one of the few people in the shop with all my fingers. I decided Engineering was a safer profession. I'm glad CnC evolved. It saved a lot of fingers.

Watching potato crisps being made and packaged is fascinating. I loved going to the different factories repairing, removing or whatever.

I really enjoy watching these "Be Amazed" videos, and have learned a lot over the past 4-6 months, and it's stuff that most ppl don't think about normally.

The human engineers who designed and built these awesome machines need an amazing amount of praise as well. Yet they remain unsung. People know more of social media stars, who contribute nothing to society when you think about it, than they do of them.

I want any one of those machines.

Watching Sticky Australia making their candy by hand is satisfying. They still pull the candy by hand, which is mesmerizing. Their designs are amazing, and the hand-chopping is fast and precise. I’ve ordered a lot of their candies over the years, and they usually sell out within an hour of going on sale.

I feel like if the factory machines were sentient and needed help, they’d probably say. “A yes, the trusty human”

I liked all of the them. I visited a macaroni and spaghetti factor, as well as one that made "belts" from thin 8 track like belts to enormously wide machine belts. I also visited a factory that made the magnetic strips used on the back of credit cards, etc, and a factor that made roofing shingles. Amazing stuff!

Although very satisfying to watch I was surprised to see how much of the food was handled without gloves😲

Totally like the supermarket pineapple peeler. I could just imagine by somehow getting your hands on a bunch of these overpowered food making machines. You can make a really neat art insulation of the overpowered kitchen of the future possibly even functional, but very impractical. Tim the tool Man Taylor would be proud of it, and personally I would too. 🤭✌️🤟

That 3d printed house isn't just good for the worker,it's good for the environment too.For houses that use wood,trees are being cut down and forests are being destroyed.I know not every house is made of wood,but a lot are,and if this 3d printed house catches on,entire ecosystems can be saved.I fully support this idea.3d printed houses should be the future of architecture.

I am an automation specialist, I work for an aluminum die castings manufacturer. I work with ABB and FANUC robots. Amazing doesn’t tell the story, I can make these robots look like they’re doing a choreographed dance as they do their jobs to perfection, without getting mad, hurt or tired! A wonderful field to be a part of!

I'm a CNC mill operator and just watching the machine with it's power and speed still has me stuck watching it sometimes, lol.

I used to work in a machine shop, I set up an ran a five spindle turret lathe from the 50's, it could make the same parts as a CNC (well some of the parts) however the only buttons on the machine was the off and on button, for how old they were it was pretty impressive the tolerances they were able to hold, with a good set-up that is

As satisfying that watching machines working properly is I reckon it would be better seeing them utterly fail.

The Food Network used to have a program that showed machines making all kinds of food. I think Mark Somers was the host. Great show.

CNC ASMR video? I like the narration, but this would make a great ASMR video to fall asleep to.

One thing that satisfy me is a lawn cut to almost perfection. I'm quite good at that. And a well designed game, like Skyrim, despite it's bugs and glitches, is another satisfying thing to see and even do yourself

The lathe is very old in concept, but the modern machines just mesmerize me. Every finished product is exactly the same. Something humans just cannot duplicate exactly, and especially at the speeds of automated, computer controlled lathes, although they can come close. I am more fascinated watching a person operating a lathe just for that reason.

We use CNC machines at my job and lemme say, when that bit hits the bone and starts working it's magic, it's definitely something to behold.

All machines were interesting , and have put me further off factory made products , so I'm going to a speacilty chocolateair , to get their range of 100% pure dark chocolate , from single origin producers - it's like doing a vineyard crawl , or a pub crawl around the mini brewers in the neighbourhood .

With that people working hard in factories don't need to anymore

I love programming for a CNC machine. I taught myself AutoCAD then applied to a granite shop and got the job programming for their water jet CNC machine. I then learned AlphaCAM on the job as well. It was fun designing granite countertops for the machine to cut. Then I went to a closet company to program for their CNC wood router, and designed closets for the machine to cut and drill. I never got to use anything over a three axis machine though. I always wanted to play with a five axis CNC.

I have a story. I was drinking water and I spilled it. The drops came on my clothes and they were completely a circle. It was equal from all sides and it was in a car. And it stayed there until I removed it. It was very satisfying
