It's easy to say "Don't fill the pool in" and I always wanted a pool until I saw the effort that goes into maintaining them. Especially in England with our conditions. I no longer want one of my own but I am happy to watch them get cleaned on this channel.
proper maintenance and your pool wont go nasty. 5-10 minutes a day to clear skimmers during swim season and check chemical balance. about 30 minutes once a week to shock and brush. once a month clean filters. in the off season, i keep my pool open all year and i dial back my maintenance because its colder and algae doesnt grow as much when its cold. can dial the shock and brush back to once every 2 weeks, and filter clean every other month. ive never had a pool go nasty. ive fought a couple algae blooms, but it only every took me an hour for 2-3 days to clear it up.
I'm feeling very similar to these owners when it comes to my pool minus the green slimy water. Folks don't realize how expensive it is to maintain a pool. It's literally a money pit. To top things off, having a pool gets VERY old and it ends up where only visitors want to swim, making it where my house is the default location of any family get-togethers in summer.
Having solar has taken a lot of the cost out of the equation. Yes it’s a water feature for 8 months of the year, but over Xmas and the long school holiday, so worth it on 40 deg days.
I recently started a pool clean business. So I bid a job and miss the cartridge filter. It’s green and nasty. My hammerhead clogs immediately with slim. Any tips? I got a siphon going today. It’s killing me on time
No, i Lmao it depends my husband is a pool technician and there job is mostly to open the pools and clean them up a bit. If they want extra shit like that done they gotta pay extra and all that. The company he works for he isn't required to do all that "extra work" that he won't be getting paid for yl
Do you live near houses with alot of pools? Think I have come across 3 houses with pools in almost 20 years.. and worked in alot as a plumbing and heating engineer
Don't know how I ended up here but thoroughly enjoyed watching. This is probably a very silly question but can't the pools be drained and then cleaned? I've often wondered about it.
Yes depends on the pool tho or maybe owners request. But it's better to just do it the way he's doing it. Bc transporting all the water and such is very expensive. As to just loading up chemicals to point into a vehicle and go to the pool site/ house
Im.in england and there is a few places with pools.old cottages and small farms.orginal kidney shape with tilles.I dont like the pools with bare conctete as it isnt nice on your feet.
I love to buy a shirt but can you do something about the shipping costs. It says 35 pounds I believe to The Netherlands. Thats more expensive than the shirt itself. Thanks

Hey man you make this look easy. I watch alot of your videos. I got a 22 foot above ground pool and opened it 3 days ago it was green. I shocked it the water turned blue but it's cloudy cannot see the bottom. Got any tips? Thanks.
@@sierrablair77 I'm guessing that the pool in this video is approximately 60 m3 / 16k gallons, that'll cost me approximately €75/$80 for a complete refill with tap water. I understand that a pool needs chemicals to keep the water quality, but I don't think that the chemicals used to get rid of the algae in this pool are cheaper than that. :)
@@Havlambirst off your equation you put together is irrelevant. Not only that, but in the stupid answer you left, you didn't make x negative when you moved it over, and a negative minus a negative turns into addition. Don't try to be a know it all in the comments if you don't have any idea of what you're doing.
Pools are great but they are money pits and bastards to maintain. I've been in mine 5 times this year but it costs me about 1200 Ozzie dollars a year in maintenance and thats before leccy and water top ups
Seriously, ppl ha e full time jobs and shit and uh that guy isn't there for no reason, the owners obviously call him to help do it right and to maintain it and to use the pool.
Lmao hater, some ppl have full time jobs and a pool is very hard to clean and maintain and it's expensive too so, gotta work to fix it up. Especially if they don't know what there doing, hence why they call in a professional to do it so it will be right and be safe, which calling them can also be expensive, be more educated next time..just saying tho. No hate
So in the UK pools don't increase property values? I know it's hard to maintain a pool but to fill it in? That's hitting your wallet in the back end. Makes no sense.
I don't understand the point of these videos. the owners let their pool go to waste. then someone comes along, pours in tons of chemicals, vacuums up the dirt and everyone acts as if it were an extraordinary thing. EVERYONE can do this at home.
Absolutely not that's very unsafe and that's why the call them bc they know what there doing 😑 and it's very hard to maintain a pool 24/7, and ppl do have full time jobs that get in the way as well, so always why they call someone to help.
