Some people setting themselves up for disappointment when its just an apparition because Yuji brought Sukuna to death's door. I think Sukuna and Gojo will have a mini convo, then it will cut back to Yuji beating up Sukuna. EDIT: To elaborate, I think it's metaphorical that Sukuna is being haunted by the teacher (Gojo) of the student (Yuji) that is now defeating him. This is to further the point that selfishness (Sukuna philosophy) is being defeated by selflessness/teamwork (Yuji & Gojo philosophy).

I think that in terms of giving Gojo's arc a happier ending, him returning with only a fraction of his power is probably the best outcome. His scenes in the airport already hinted at him being torn between chosing "north" and "south", so him coming back but voluntarily giving up a portion of his power (most likely to Yuuta, as you suggested) would be, in my opinion, the best outcome. That way, he still gets to enjoy Jujutsu and being strong, without having to live with the isolation of being the strongest. Plus, it also just feels in character for Gojo to return just to fuck with Sukuna, but not interfere in the fight because he wants his star students to shine.

I think its a nanami situation where an influx of cursed energy leads to ghosts appearing This could just be because Gojo and Sukuna had the tightest bond out of all sorcerers (or another six eyes user from the past to throw us that Sukuna backstory moment) But my expert amazing theory is that its Nobara with the six eyes because she chill like that (i mean think about it Gojo chose to let her be his student, he saw something in her, shes used black flash, and refuses to fear taking initiative in any situation even if its to her detriment. In all honesty she is the closest to Gojo without being related or him)

i never thought hes really dead, call it copium, but i think that wouldve been way more obvious (eg. head cut off). i always thought he‘d lose his power, at least partially and i think him still being able to fight but needing to rely on others would be a nice conclusion to his character. so i like the giving up the 6 eyes theory or anything along the lines.

One theory I have is what were seeing here is some kind of punishment for sukuna abuseing binding vows, reminder the first one he pulled out in this gauntlet phase was with the world cutting slash he killed gojo with, so if he somehow violated it or abused it, it would be great to finally see what that punishment would be. This is not inherently opposed to your yuta eyes theory btw. Some others that I really hope it isnt, Kenjaku somehow survived getting stabbed in the brain by yuta, yuki black hole style and possesed gojos corpse. To be honest, I don't want Gojo Satoru to come back. But to be clear, I dont want Gojo Satoru THE STRONGEST to come back. I want Gojo Satoru the man. Gojo is a man that has been given everything, but blessed with nothing else. Every time he has been given someting, it has always been taken away immediately. Gojo was born, being granted the gift of life. It was immediately taken away from him as his life was forced upon the strongest title, his life never being anything else. When he eventually had the title taken away from him and he finally gained humanity with the intoduction of Amanai and his rival, Geto. That again, was taken away when Toji killed Amanai, and his fight with Gojo leading him to outpace Geto. He gained a new status years later as a teacher but lost his friends with one dying after another, and a part of him dying with him being forced to kill Geto. A year later during Shibuya, he lost his freedom and another friend with him being sealed in the prison realm. When he finally gained his freedom, he was immediately killed by Sukuna. He lost his chance to see the fruits of his labor being his students grow. The only thing he truely ever had, the title of the strongest was taken away as well. Gojo despite being the strongest, couldn’t have managed to hold onto anything. So long story short, I wish for Gojo to be able to take a rest from carrying the story on his back. I want him to be able to finally enjoy what he has without Gege throwing a plane at him. Thx for reading my essay lol.

Can you imagine if this was Yuji or Megumi's Domain Expansion? What if Megumi, seeing Gojo through Sukuna's eyes, snapped out of depression and just said "Domain Expansion".

Lets clear some things up 1. Its not kenjaku. During shibuya (pretty sure it was during shibuya) Gege Akutami stated both gojo and tojis bodies cant be taken over due to them being special, still not buying its not kenjaku. Kenjaku stated he tried taking over a six eyes user before but failed, another thing is that the limitless technique is ass unless you have sukuna levels or cursed energy or the six eyes. When yuta killed kenjaku, he saids his will, will pass on so why would he say this when hes gonna come back, doesnt make any sense. 2. Its not Yuta. The six eyes arent transferrable and this part also goes to the first part but, if a six eyes user DIES, the six eyes pass on. Why would gege give a kid who barely knows anything about the limitless technique to use it against sukuna when the guy who literally mastered/completed the ENTIRE technique can, on top of that yuta has access to infinite cursed energy for five minutes. Yuta gaining the six eyes and limitless technique goes against everything gojo worked for. Gojo wanted to raise a generation where they would be on par with him or strong enough to change the world of jujutsu, he didnt want any1 to be alone at the top like he was so again, this theory is stupid asf. 3. Its gojos ghost as yuji isnt looking at it and its not takaba so I dont know where yall got that from lmao?? Pretty sure takaba died, but we dont know how. I 100% think gojo would be back to save megumi, thus leading to megumis villain arc (which im super excited about since im a major megumi fan). Theres multiple ways gojo can come back without ruining the story/plot but we gonna have to see next week.

I want it to be Yuta on the battlefield, but for Gojo to still be alive too after going thru the Nitta+Utahime+Shoko healing conveyor belt idea I keep mentioning. Imagine he was hurt so bad they had to focus on healing his organs so he loses his arms, and then goes blind giving the 6 eyes to Yuta. He'd still be able to be their teacher and friend after all this. Or maybe he was only alive long enough to meet Yuta one last time and somehow pass on the 6 eyes.

The biggest complaint about Gojo vs Sukuna to me was how Gojo didn't abuse binding vows. I can see a world where Gojo made a vow stating that he will lose the fight guaranteed but when he dies Yuta inherits the six eyes.

I think there are other possibilities for Gojo coming back. One is through incarnation, like with the incarnated players. Then he could be put in a similar position as Yuji and Angel, both of whom share their bodies with another soul, so it would be cool to see Gojo do the same with Yuta. The other option is the seance technique. Ironically it would operate similarly to what happened with Toji, where Gojo wouldn’t need constant cursed energy from someone to maintain the seance thanks to the six eyes.

I think that is Gojo. But he won’t end up fighting/ killing Sukuna because I think Yuji will end up saving Megumi next chapter but at the last second Sukuna will activate the merger out of spite and they all fight the merger

I would like to also mention that the narrator explictly stated that GHOSTJO's eyes were unmistakeably his so that atleast dispproves the theory that he comes back completely powerless and will have atleast on eye

I like the buddhist prophecy true enlightenment theory where shedding your ego while seeing your dead friends is the final step to true enlightenment. Yuta fits this as the sick person. Yujis name fits it. One year after satoru died is also significant too even though it's in real time not manga time. It fits too well.

Gege uses a specific word 亡霊. It's a really hard word to explain but from my understanding if this is indeed Gojo - he isn't just a ghost. He's like a Guardian Spirit. He is the "living dead" so to speak. Gojo lvled up in death?

At the end of it all, Yuji will still be the one to defeat Sukuna. Gojo coming back stands in the way of the necessary power up Yuji would need to accomplish that. Do you think Luke would’ve been anywhere near as strong as he was in return of the Jedi if Obi-Wan and Yoda didn’t die? You think Frodo would have become the strong and capable person he was if he still had Gandolf to rely on

My top two theories are that those eyes are, in fact, mistakable and that’s Uraume or that the Gojost is the binding vow penalty

Personal theory.. he’s going to remember what Gojo said to him.. that his students would surpass him, thats why gojo (selfishly) said he’d win because he in a sense handpicked all the people currently fighting to defeat sukuna like it’s was part of his master plan. let’s be real.. I like that theory of yours. The whole crux of Jujutsu Kaisen is the sacrifice of strength. Gojo and Sukuna reached the top all alone, all on their own. And it is all built on the ideology of doing things all alone and being selfish. With Yuta unlocking the six eyes and limitless and Yuji unlocking Shrine and Blood manipulation, it removes the status quo of JJK. Yuta and Yuji can both be at the top together and it is ultimately meaningless who is stronger than the other. (my bets on Yuta. Still.) For my personal belief of what happened: I think someone pulled a Domain Expansion given the new translations of the chapter. It might have been Yuji, might have been Gojo. But I do think that this domain expansion comes from Megumi due to Yuji completely bodying Sukuna with his soul-barrier punches and black flashes. It can also be from the Spirit Dimension Kenjaku was talking about. We would have to wait and see.

nah, it's yuji's domain. Everyone thinks it was sukuna saying "domain expansion" but that was intentionalyl misleading. It's a separate, small, dark panel. Sukuna's shrine has skulls, possibly representing living things (not just people, animals have souls and ce too, yeah? and he wasn't a cannibal from birth). Yuji's shrine, fully identical to yuji's technique, COULD PLAUSIBLY contain/bring back the souls of his friends and family who have passed on. This much I'm pretty confident on, it makes way too much sense. This, not so much- i think this is how yuji is going to die surrounded by his friends and family. Everyone who has died will be there when he dies in one of two ways. Yuji will sacrifice himself to end sukuna once and for all, taking both of them out at once, and BOTH those that are still living will be there, and the souls of his friends and family that have since passed on will be there in his domain. The second way is that after/as yuji is ending sukuna/the merger or whatever, yuji could use some monumental binding vow, or use some form of maximum technique (or both) to bring those souls of his dead friends pack to life, sacrificing himself in the process... meaning that with his near mastery over the soul, maybe he rips out sukuna's soul from megumis body, and uses his domain containing gojos soul to place that inside his body, resurrecting him. At the same time, he could do the same with nobara's soul and yoruzo, if nobara is actually dead. It wooouuuuld solve the "everyone dies or no one dies" scenario, but it is a bit of a stretch.

What if yutas copy abilities is just a special use of the six eyes ...like yuta has the genes for the eyes but since gojo already existed yutas eyes could not bloom with gojo still alive...

If it's a hallucination, sukuna's pretty much cooked (yuji's final claw attack killed him lol), if it isn't gojo, it's probably yuta, which means sukuna's also cooked (yuta can now use six eyes comedian), if it's gojo, sukuna's also cooked (gojo jumping you with yuji and todo snd mei mei is game over even if he's nerved)

I feel like it's Yuta with six eyes. I feel the shadowed outline of Gojo at the end is just metaphorical, and Sukuna literally freaking out thinking he's seeing him. However, when the dust clears it'll be Yuta and we'll find out the second person he swapped with was Gojo. The near-death experience in his domain will have caused him to awaken the six eyes, and now he's back as the newest strongest and going to domain clash with Sukuna.
