I think the most likely scenario is that Nick was either the sole inventor of Bitcoin or he was its architect laying out the principles and having help from other coders like Adam back, wei dai, and hall finney to get the code solid. I suggest the second scenario only because szabo’s main defense when people claim he is satoshi is that he doesn’t have the coding chops to have written the original code. So i think at the very least Nick wrote the white paper, probably did most of the public forum posts as satoshi, and maybe had some help on the code from other cypherpunks.
