Saturation, Compression, and The Transient Life Cycle

This is the single topic most people, especially home studio guys and beginners need to get their heads around, and it's never discussed. Your videos on it are the best. This is the exact reason I have 500 racks full of HRK saturation units and colour modules, and Looptrotter units. Based on your previous videos and my own testing, I find slow attack compression into saturation works out best if it want both more punch and more RMS.

i use a clipper to reduce those powerful transients rather than a saturator, but i guess its doing the same thing.
