I love how this stopped being a reaction halfway and resumed after like 5 minutes.

I like how it's the young dudes that are bringing hip hop back to many of it's roots. A lot of the stuff that been coming out lately reminds me of early and mid 90's hip hop while still sounding fresh. The experimentation, the variety of subject matter. A lot of that began to go away with the onslaught of everything having to either be thug narratives, mafioso fantasies and the occasional coffee shop conscious nigga. That era lead to hip hop becoming monotonous. The internet is the best thing to happen to rap, it allows everyone to be heard and find an audience. We can talk shit about the Yachtys and Uzi Verts all day, but simply complaining about them is ignoring the wealth of talent that bubbling.
