I lived in Hawai'i twice (2005-2006, 2008) and watched Kahuku play once at their home field. It was an awesome experience. The public bus stopped running after midnight to/from I think and I ended up sleeping on the beach after hitching a ride from a couple of Kahuku players. I felt welcome by the Red Raiders and I wish Kahuku would go back to a more smashmouth style football.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Kahuku played MD as best as they could Saturday night. MD is tough team with Div. 1 college talent. I think it's great for Kahuku to travel to CA and have the worldly experience that the players will never forget. Also it's great that Kahuku hosts Mainland schools so those programs have the worldly experience too. Sometimes it's more than just the game itself. Hopefully in the near future I'll have the experience of going to Kahuku to stream a game here on my channel. 🏈✈️🏝

Native San Diego, but always root for Hawai'ian team and Cally teams when they play OOS.
