I have some news to share with you about Stella, by Boxer pup. I have a new tool from Edge Technology in the shop so we check that out and I make a small mod to it. I also do some testing with the new turning tool sent to me by a viewer. Last clip will include some new scores for the shop.

I don't know how you managed to get thru this video without losing it. Damn near had me crying. Lost my dog several years ago and it was the hardest thing I ever went through. My condolences and try to remember all the good times you shared. RIP Stella

I agree wholeheartedly that it's a good idea to take plenty of time to grieve, and reflect on the wonderful life he's shared with Stella. There are so many things people with animal family-members don't get to do like travel and screw-off without having to be responsible, so it's always best in my mind to give yourself some time. Plus, if you're rushed into getting a new dog it can make some folks resentful of the new dog, and it's "shortcomings" when compared with your ever-faithful old pal, and that's not fair to anyone. Good points from all around, and I know we all just want what's best for our buddy Adam.

It took me two years to get over my Lab who died at 14, and get a new dog. Which is a rescue Boxer. She's awesome, and looks just like Stella. I'm gonna miss Stella photobombing Adam's Vids. :-(

Abom: I can see the pain and sorrow in your face. I had a similar experience with my dog. You know how often I commented on Stella and how fond I was of her. She's crossed the rainbow bridge and is hanging out with my dog and many others. Many hugs from a bro' from across the internet. It ain't sissy for me to say so. Dang it I must've cut some onions on the breadboard just now! Dang it! Anyhow you've been so so kind to her. I've never had a dog since Margo. But I think you should.. you give so much love to your dogs and they deserve you. God bless you and farewell to Stella.

I started reading comments but I was tearing up so I can only imagine how they will make you feel, I could tell by the sound of your voice in the video even while working you aren't as excited and I totally understand. Stella was a great dog and a great friend and will truely be missed. While it is sad that she is gone it is amazing to think that there are 95000+ of us out here that still care about you and are happy to have you sharing your shop life with us.

My wife and I got teary-eyed while listening to you explain your loss; we could feel the hurt here. Even though we know this life is short and has an end, death always comes unheralded. We can sense what a great friend Stella was for you. Condolences from both of us, Adam.

Adam, my condolences. I'm sure Stella brought you many hours of enjoyment, and you'll always have your memories of those times. Whenever I saw Stella in one of your videos, as she would walk by, I swear she was thinking "Who you talkin' to fool, ain't nobody there. Never failed to make me smile.

Sorry to hear about Stella. We lost our daughter dog a little over 1 1/2 year ago and still call our new dog Princess by the one we lost...Tiny. You made me remember and I teared up. Near 70 years old, 6'3" tall and 270 pounds but I still care.

As I catch up on your videos from the beginning, I haven't been commenting, but had to here. Dogs are like kids; they mean so much and provide so much love. We lost our Aussie Shepard to lung cancer 5 weeks ago and it was really tough. I'm sure you still miss Stella after all this time, but you'll have great memories of her forever!

Ive been dreading this. Stella is still missed by many. After watching a bunch at random I started watching your videos from the beginning. It was neat seeing your Dad in the 1st couple but I knew it wouldn't last. You show us all of your life, the good and bad and you are loved and appreciated for that. Thanks Adam.

Sorry to hear that Stella has passed on. I am a dog lover and know the pain of losing a family pet. They are more like our kids than pets. You gave her your love and a good home. I am sure she appreciated it.

Adam, I know you responded to my question about Stella in an earlier video but hearing the pain in your voice brings it to the heart. Being a Boxer lover and having lost one in the exact same way brings back the helpless feelings. Anyone who has ever had a Boxer knows their loving quirks and complete loyal and protective nature. Goodbye old girl. RIP.

I am watching your videos in order so I am behind the curve. Real sorry to hear about Stella. I was there 12 years ago. For what it is worth, every time I think of my woofers, I smile. I am sure Stella will do that for you the rest of your life. Dogs are just wonderful.

Condolences. I had an Akita that died in 2011 from cancer and am currently fostering (almost 2 years) a Am Stat Bull Terrier (8 y/o). I know the feelings. They ladies at the rescue I foster for are right. They are Fur Kids.

All of us animal lovers are truly saddened by the loss of sweet Stella. You said it correctly though, you were lucky to have her, and she was lucky to have you! They say "Time Heals All". From experience, the pain lessens with time, but not sure about the healing part.... Regarding the indicator you shared, I've been using mine that way for a long time now. I think it better and faster with all the production work done here at Razor Works.... He He! That "multifix" or a copy is definitely on my "GOT TO HAVE LIST" Take care my friend!! Razor!

I've always thought of our dogs as family members. It was always tough losing them, but I still have many happy memories. Again, my deepest condolences. I loved it when she would come in the shop to check things out.

My condolences, Adam, god that had me on the edge of tears. I've got two rescue dogs, one two years old and the other ten, they really are mans best friend. I still have my first dogs tags on my keychain to this day.

I'm sorry for your loss. loosing a dog is hard, like you said they are our best friend. One of the few times I seen my father break down was when our childhood dog passed. It's crazy how much they become apart of us in those 10-12 years, but you will always have the memories of them for life. Don't rush into finding a new friend they tend to find us when the time is right.

Hello Adam So sorry to hear about Stella. I can see just how much you cared for Stella. We lost two of or dogs a few years ago, I said I would never go through that again, however we adopted another dog. He has become a family member and is my shadow. On a brighter note, I have ordered that tool post indicator. It looks like what I am looking for. I tried making one, but it was a disaster and kept coming loose. I really enjoy seeing your test cuts with new and different inserts. I often have problems with stringy chips and figured that it was due to the materials versus feeds and speeds. Thanks for showing how you dial that in to find exactly what the inserts need to work well. Certainly your lathe and settings are better than what I have but it does show that they all require a bit of dialing in to be useful.

It's piculure how some animals are more able to steal our hearts. Over the years my family has had to say goodbye to several animals... all of which are missed. But a couple really stood out as 'members of the family' and their company is missed so much more, and their quirks are remembered much more often. Feeling the loss with you Adam.

So sorry Adam. Our dogs are truly our best friends - always there for us after a hard day and never judging. Take comfort that the sadness will heal and you will be left with just the happy memories of the time you spent together, and all the comments she would get when she would wander into one of your videos. I especially saw the love she had for you when thunderstorms would come through and she would stick close to you in the shop. Take care.

Dear Adam I'm so sorry to hear about your recent loss of Stella. Losing a loved pet is just as awful an experience as losing a 2-legged member of the family. I recently retired from 33 years of veterinary practice and having to deal with this issue as a vet is something I don't miss at all. Do hang in there and I hope she becomes a comfortable memory as some time passes and that thinking of her brings a smile to your face in the future rather than a tear. All the best. Paul

So sorry to hear about your dog man, years ago we had a pair of beautiful boxers and decided to breed them. we ended up losing our female due to complications with the labor. I was home and had seen her minutes earlier, it was a huge shock. Glad you are doing better though man.
