I would love to see a full video on this process, with interviews with those who hold the cards and some of the cast. It’s such a huge part of the process and I think diving into the different color inks, the angles they choose for each sketch, any times they’ve ever messed up, how hard/easy it can be for the cast … it’d all be really interesting (and I’m sure a little funny with some anecdotes) to learn about.

Please never stop showing us behind the scenes footage! I had fun pretending to be Ego reading the cue card. It was nerve wracking and I read it in front of an audience of zero! What the cast and crew does is incredible!

I really love that they still use cue cards and that every time someone says why do you not use teleprompters, They act like rewriting entire cue cards in fat sharpie is easier than retyping something on a teleprompter. Good to see that they pay a lot of people to do it too, got to keep those jobs NBC, I love how SNL keeps tradition going

It's interesting to me that the stage manager (or director, whichever you call them for live tv) doesn't say "GO." ie - "cue announce GO." As a theatre technician, I'm trained not to do a damn thing until I hear those two letters.

Theater baby here and I get it! Love theater 1000x better than TV. The times I've been on TV though, they don't say anything, just point to you at the same time that the red light goes on. Not as thrilling lol!
