Have I ever told you just how much I love goat cheese!❤. If I lived near by ….ummm ummmmmmm mmmmm😍 My husband grew up in a Grade A dairy where they milked 80 plus head of cattle. His mother made homemade cottage cheese. She had a gallon pasteurizer on the kitchen counter. Every week we went and got his gallon of whole fat milk. The cream was 2” on the top! I had been in a terrible car accident and had a very badly broken arm ( my third of five) and at my two week check up the fractures was not visible in the X-rays. The dr asked me what the He$$ I’d been doing … thank you cows! 😊

I can see that after a long day your head can't meet the pillow soon enough. Hope, was this a family that came your way and you and hubby got into it to keep it going? I think it's a noble profession this farming &/or ranching way of life and I'm grateful for those who add wholesome, clean food products to our tables and raise their "suppliers" with such love and devotion. You say that you're dog tired at the end of the day? shouldn't that be *goat* tired? It looks like a lot of work to run the farm, but I'll bet the fun factor is off the charts, too! All the goats are just sooooo adorable!!! (Farm cats are too).

As a 70 year old with multiple joint operations and a balance issue the first thing I noticed is not how hard you work or how fit/energetic you are but that you do it, at least the milking, in flip flops!! ( what we called “thongs” in the Midwest.) Have I missed Shirley or is she yet to deliver?

It was so fun watching the crowd running. I actually had to watch twice it’s so fun. I’m curious though. Are the adults separated from the kids? It seemed like they went out at different times. Or do the babies sleep in pens with mothers at night?
