@@unwaifu69 I always found Parodius Music funny, especially when they parodied their own (Konami) music ,lol. So the shouting was just a bit of a let down. So there are two shouty voices then?

It's actually Jouji Yanami, it sounds like former Kaioh-sama.

@@BlueFalconPunch07 You are correct. This explains why the announcer sounds like Boyakki from "Yatterman" as well as all the other "skinny henchman" he played in the "Time Bokan" spinoffs. Ironically the female announcer is Noriko Ohara who played all of the female villainesses in the "Time Bokan" series and spinoffs.

The game's full title is a spoof of Tokimeki Memorial.

Have the entire series on that console, reading those EGM magazines back in the day, and drooling over the beautiful screenshots for all versions of Parodius that came out made me get the entire series, including the MSX original, which EGM never covered. I swore one day back then I'd play and own all versions of this series, I never in my wildest dreams thought it would happen, years later, it happened.

I own both, they sound identical.

Either they lost the rights or something must have happened, because on the PSP collection rerelease called "Parodius Portable", said songs were replaced with songs from Beatmania games.

Also shame for not using the music code for the Tokimeki stage, so people can hear the song with actual singing in it.

I also noticed that in the Saturn version, Hikaru doesn't twinkle when she is defeated, any explanation behind that?
