Have a schedule where people can see what's planned out for the week and can plan around that, also, having an attendance requirement. For example, In SM, Our members must attend at least 2 practices a week and if they dont meet the requirement for 2 weeks in a row without a valid excuse, they are removed. (A valid excuse is everything except for "I just didnt want to do dressage")
Yeah this is late but I personally use Discord for a bit and ask people on different discord servers,I also make public events ( Q&A,Trail Rides,Dressy Pracs,SJ Pracs,XC Pracs & more ) I also averitise my club in global chat I ask my friends in friend chat and ask clueless people,I hope this helped!! •Bluey•
With not making it straight away, I actually prefer to do that because I can reserve the name I want AND look at how the rules calendar info etc look written on the pages. When I’ve chosen my layout (and gotten the discord server sorted if you use discord) I can then start recruiting straight away instead of having to choose a name if the one I wanted was chosen already, adding the rules, info and calendar and rewriting parts due to the name change. That’s just my tip, reserve a name and write on the club tabs, but anyone can do it their way :)
I have a club called Winter Owls Inc and it is pretty big, right now I think I have Seven or six spots open. And my club loves what we do, we are TRYING to be elite, and we are getting there! I truly love my club and they love me. 😁 In my eyes they are the best club members I have ever had! And by the way this video really helped me a lot thanks 😁
I do have a little tip as well if when ur worried about the name for ur club being taken you can make the club but don’t invite anyone and do the organisation first

Hi ok ok yeah this is late but I rlly wanna say that if u leave your club just to make a sister club no no no no that’s bad bc once unno it’s hard to be an owner u disband the club we and your letting your old owner down if u rlly enjoyed that club and u leave to make a sister club that’s not being a loyal member it’s being unloyal pls don’t do this your letting your whole club u were in before down and if u disband your club bc u notice it’s hard apoligise it’s not nice but if u know what it feels like and u enjoy it keep it and if your old owner enjoys it keep it I personally enjoy my life being the club owner of Dynamic Queens we have grown and been respected we have had our ups and downs but we punch through,we all respect each other as everyone should do to there club,owner or not I know this was big but I wanted to spread it and make positivity everywhere thank you all and be respectful to your club byeeeeeeeeeee!!
Just keep going! You will find those members who will stay no matter what and they will be your foundation to help you! Try new things and maybe host an open event so people can get you know you more!

Definitely the social media part I explain as well as being active and having fun things to do! Don’t be afraid to ask people to join and advertise in global a bit. It’s a fun way to make new friends and possibly get new club members!
Is discord highly recommended for a dressage club? I am just starting to open my club up to members but we don’t have a discord because I am not too sure on it myself. xx
Brooklyn Breezelock no its not, u can always use others like skype. I would reccomend using discord but its harder to get people with discord. So I recommend using the star stable chat if u wish, but if it is dressage based use pre before move to warn them for better timing!
I highly recommend using discord, it has more purpose than just doing call dressage. On discord there is a very big community, where you can join other clubs servers and the SSD server. If you're interested in competing, you must be in the SSD server to sign up for their Competitions. It's also a great way to get your name out there and possibly get new members. Skype is nice and all for just calling, but discord is muchh more efficient in my opinion.
Dressage without Discord is 100% possible! Personally, I believe discord makes it so much easier. You can be a lot more organized by using different channels for different things but also, it’s a lot easier to explain things. Of course, only use discord if you’re 13+ as that is their guidelines!
Sometimes discord is helpful, But some people could be really good or kind or stuff like that, but they can't have discord, or aren't comfortable with it. That's the point of my club, we use chat and it's perfectly fine for us.

I own a little more of a smaller club and we are planning on doing some changes including requiring all my members to either have discord or Instagram so they can see any changes or events without having to log onto sso, is there any more tips you could give on adding some changes when revamping a club or sorta upgrading it? -Thanks!! When doing a revamp, make sure you aren’t going away from your original goal/idea because then you might lose some members but the new could also bring in new members! It’s always best to communicate your reasonings behind changes and keep your club members in the loop!
Hey Petra! I have a question I own a club. One day I kicked some body out of it because they were being rude and one person started yelling at me after I kicked them even though I said why I kicked them what should I do?
I know this is a bit late, but next time this happens, have a meeting and talk to your club about why it was best. Don’t talk bad about the person you kicked, but make sure they know that you didn’t kick them to be rude and that it was best for your club!
Hello! I don't have a personal channel to comment with so i'm commenting with my clubs. About the team segment - What if I have no star stable friends that aren't already in clubs? I have met a lot of friends through clubs but none that aren't in one. And obviously I don't want to ask someone who's in a club "Hey, wanna ditch your club and be a leader in mine?", so, what should i do to make friends or find trustworthy people who are willing to join the club and be a higher rank, or even just an average member, in the beginning? Even though i'm like 2 years late on this video, I do hope that you see this. :)

Hello! I have a supposedly more famous club, Purple Owls (it’s a Hungarian club, and I’m Hungarian, too), and it’s going well, and all, but somehow the members aren’t as active as I used to be. Be patient, and make sure you have a good schedule and fun activities that fit everyone! Advertise and show your club off, as many people will see and hopefully become more interested! Make sure you have information posted somewhere about your club and what it does!
I've owned many clubs in the past that haven't been successful because I couldn't host events or even get the club started because I didn't even have 1 member lol
You definitely don’t have to use social media! It helps clubs grow a lot, I find a huge part of clubs now is the social media but it’s definitely not impossible! The clubs in sso had to start somewhere and there’s people out there in the same situation who need a club!
It can be hard since younger members may not understand the importance of the club and the owner, but make sure you have set rules and you follow through with the rules!

In Opal Dodos we remind them abt 15min before the event that we have it. Every monday we have club meeting where we talk about events that what is a good timing or anything and be calm in the events but not too nice. You can make activity points. They can loose 2 points if they dont tell you that they are not coming for the event.
and if they have - 20 activity points u can kick them. and if they have like 30 points u can make them like trainee or u know. When u have activity points then the lazy ones get kicked and some of them will get more active :)

Hello! I feel like your club will succeed as long as you stay unique and your club has an overall good environment. It is hard to say if it'll 'succeed' or not due to every club owner having a different perspective of success. And you can get members by being unique and sticking with your theme. Stay consistent and just enjoy it!

Hey Petra! I was wondering how I can make my members come to dressage practice, some of them say “later” some say “no” and one or two members say yes. I don’t know how to fix this but I don’t really want to remove anyone from the club.
Sabrina Northwin Have a set schedule they need to follow. We have practice everyday at 7:30pm and if they don’t attend a practice one week, we keep track and if they don’t the next week then they are removed. They know the consequences of not showing up without a valid reason. I tell people, you’re in the club to do dressage, if you don’t want to do it then they can’t be in the club. Hope this helps:)

I require discord for my club but for some reason 2 people left my club not mailing me why and just I friended me on discord :/ And also I can’t figure out a good time anymore since it’s offline season. And I can only be online after 3:30 but one of my members work all week another’s computer pad moves on its own 😳 and my 3rd members pc is broken. I made my club about 3 months ago and it started out great! But about a month ago, I changed it from a Dressage & hangout club to an "everything" club with all the activities and disciplines in SSO. It's starting to get a little hard to manage all the events, and I'm not sure if I should disband, or change it back. I have 3 leaders in the club, but they aren't very active due to school being back. We don't have Discord, which would probably help with being more organized. Do you have any tips/suggestions for me? Also, I loved this vid :)
Instead of disbanding, I think a break with a relaxed schedule and more free time would be a better idea, as disbanding is a big thing and you might regret it later.

personally i think it should be all the same. it makes different ranks stand out and it’s a bit confusing constantly when you rank up having to buy a new outfit
In SM, we have our main outfit, our hangout outfit and then a high rank outfit. By having an outfit for each rank, it may be unachievable for some due to star coins which leads to them being discouraged. I think having a main outfit for everyone is perfect and then a fun hangout outfit to bring some variety. We recently made a high rank outfit in order to be spotted easier to help anyone not in SM know who to approach if they have any questions, but of course, this isn’t necessarily needed, we just wanted to make things easier!

I’ve given up and I’m not sure what to do anymore. I’ve had a few members but they leave because they are expecting a big club. Which I get. Also, all of the people I see in my server also already have a club.
Clubs take much time to grow. To appeal to the eye of people you need to get yourself out there on social medias. You can't give up and try a new theme or club name, you really need to stick with what you've got and gradually over-time you will see results! If you have any friends who are clubless ask them to help out to create a strong foundation and friendly environment for the club! You got this, just remember everyone starts somewhere
Hello, I have been playing SSO for 1 year now and I have made 18 clubs without any luck. I try my best to get the club names and make them. But some clubs have inspiring names like Saturn Manes. My friend: Charlie Fallsparrow has made the club Saturn Crows before and it took off quickly, I try my hardest to make the clubs seem more active, although I have tried making a website I have published 12 times, not being able to find it. Owning a club takes a lot of time, so activity is a key part to owning. Just remember to stay unique and stick with it, even when things get tough! I also recommend looking at other comments on this video as there's other questions that have been answered that may contribute to your question
Leona Churkoska Have an attendance policy for what they need to attend in a week/month and they must excuse themselves if they won’t be at practice. Have an attendance chart to keep track of who is showing up and who isn’t. If someone is inactive for a long period of time, then I would suggest removing them.

Hello! I wanted to ask, how can I make my club more active? And another question, there are alot of people who leave just because of size or right when they see information on the club even if you ask them and tell you about it, how can you try and get those first few members that wont leave right when they join?(or they at least stay for awhile, I dont mean they are guaranteed to stay) and yes I know I have lots and lots of questions, I just have these questions I want to see if people can answer, let's say, i would try and use amino and use live chat, would that be better then sso chat-? Since that's the only way I would be able to teach dressage other then the sso chat which is laggy for people sometimes. Also, if it's okay this might be a little vent or somethin idk, when I was owning my very first club when I was 13, we were a small club, but it was still very very fun and I laughed so hard alot, but then it came to the point where I didnt know how to command and i only knew intermediate dressage while my club leader was advanced or elite or somethin like that I forget, but when I was allowing her to command, we always had these mini fights and at the end of each fight she would threaten me that she would leave and little old shy weird 13 year old me cried to her not to leave and that I needed her, it was like she was the owner but she had the power to leave and make me the new owner like I was her puppet, and then that always ended up to her saying "I'm joking, you need me alot dont you" and ofc I just put "XD yeah" hhHHHhHHh and then when she was making huge drama and saying she was the victim there the members believed her yet she was bossing them around, and I told her to stop and that happened, then I said I was gonna disband and they all said they dont care and after I did the leader said, "I HATE YOU DIAMOND" which hurt my feelings at the time and I started crying. As you can see I was definitely not ready to own a club, but now I think I'm ready, I know how to handle drama now and i know elite dressage now and I'm pretty pumped.
