This is the Lata Mangeshkar that I want to remember, by this time in her long and very successful career her voice had reached it's peak, but with age a person's voice changes too. Although Lata ji's voice is nothing like it used to be, my Love and Respect for her will always be there, may she live to be 100, A Legend In Her Own Lifetime.
@@no127 Thankyou for your comment, I am a big fan of Lata ji so I try to be respectful in my comments, these are my opinions and NOT facts and I speak as I observe. I totally agree with you that around the 60's Lata ji's voice really did blossom and her voice was just heavenly, she really could do not wrong. I remember mostly her songs from the mid 70's through to the 80's as I was growing up. Bhappi Lahiri surprisingly really understood Lata's voice and in the late 70's to the 80's he composed some amazing songs that had her singing in a more softer tone which are still just amazing to listen to, songs like "Zid Na Karo", "Chodo bhi yeh nakra", "Sooni sejh sajhadoon", "Halke halke aayi chalke"...to name just a few, he did a fantastic job of making good use of it. There are (I'm sure) people today that will listen to her as she sounds now, but I personally cannot, it doesn't have that "mitaas" that it once did. I don't watch Indian Cinema, I lost interest in it a long time ago, but a couple of years ago I came across a song clip of Kareena Kapoor, it was a party scene and it was a medley of some of Lata ji's popular and iconic songs re-sung by Lata ji and I have to say I hated it. Trying to listen to a legendary singer singing some of her own hits and not hiting the mark was so painful. Her earlier fast tempo songs she had to sing in a slower range, personally I think it should have been sung by a younger singer, but definitely not by Lata ji. Her voice and songs have become part of the soundtrack of my life growing up and her amazing voice remind me of the highs & lows, may she live to a 100, God Bless her. Thankyou once for your comment.
@@ajlomas7185 Don't get me wrong. I still love her voice from the 80s, and her voice was great then. Its just that it had matured a bit by then. Just not as youthful as it was back in the 60s and early 70s. But like you said, she sang more mature soft tunes during this era, and it sounded beautiful in that mature voice. Her voice really broke down around, I would say the mid 90s. But hey! she had been singing for over 5 decades by then! We have gotten more than we deserve from this beautiful voice. It's just that the voice was pure and beautiful that we just can't get enough of it.😍. But on the bright side, I discover or rediscover a new song of hers everyday because of RU-vid and I am thankful for that. 😊. I don't know if I have heard the songs you mentioned. Will definitely check them out. Maybe I will stumble upon a new song or just rediscover a song that I heard as a child👍
No human voice remains same in anyone’s life. That is a fact of human biology. However what is so amazing is that how long it lasts and Lataji’s voice quality lasted for a long time.
Very high notes song sung very well and with very long alap and sing with chorus makes senses of sitting temple. Lataji have great power in voice in live show also like song in film satyam shivam and LP music mesmosiring .

What a lovely song sung/simultaneously enacted by these singers. Well assisted by the crew! Even such a common dong is rare to find these days (without unwarranted changes in audio n vidro). Young talents are seen and may theh be groomed well and stay ptotected( most importantly the original singers who inspired, the ones brought them up ,may be her mother or guru and the well wishers n the deserving members!!!
