Tapan was at fault no doubt but Kiara clearly admits of having indulged voluntarily till the 2nd base but didn't want to indulge further and barge into the 3rd stage. Isn't this a little problematic? How are the boundaries between these so called bases or stages to be defined? Aren't these boundaries very fluid? It should either be a plain yes or a no. Infact a couple should be sensible enough to not indulge into physical/sexual intimacy before marriage. It's just like you offer someone a glass of juice and stop him from drinking the last portion when he is just about to finish it up. Infact karthik (Satyaprem) himself couldn't resist after they both went for a kiss and started making out without realising Kiara is in shock. It took him a good one minute for him to realise that she doesn't want it. Should we say Karthik was also at fault as he should've asked for Kiara s(Katha) permission to barge into the 3rd base after kissing her. What kind of a logic is this? Does a guy have to take consent at every stage(or whatever base) of sexual intimacy ?

In date rape either the person psychologically or physically enforces her to agree or otherwise intoxicate the person to the level that the person might find it difficult to resist. If both partners are involved in a moment and suddenly the individual starts to resist, the other partner has to stop. It's like you allow the person to make out but not take over to the next level. 2nd, the part where the part kartik couldn't resist it is because kiara started falling for him and she wants then same. But the past still haunts her.
