Hello, brother. Thank you for your video and comments. You speak with genuine passion and conviction, and I agree with most of what you said, except for the part about the petro-dollar. At the time, Saudi Arabia was in a very different situation. The deal that was made wasn’t just about money-it began with the promise that the country wouldn’t be harmed or invaded. The nation was on the brink of a major conflict that could have led to our invasion, and the deal was the best option to secure the kingdom’s future. However, when Obama began interfering with Gulf and Arab countries during the Arab Spring and empowering Iran, it was clear that this agreement had been broken. I completely agree with your points about hiring American companies and the brilliance behind the petro-dollar strategy, but when the U.S. started doing exactly what they had promised not to do, the deal became null. Now, regarding the protection of our land, we all know that it is ultimately in God’s hands. But as God said, we must take action, build, defend ourselves, and avoid putting our people in harm’s way. There’s no doubt that when we are faced with situations where no lives can be saved and all paths lead to suffering, we will stand firm. I won’t say we will be like Yamani, whom I respect greatly, but we will be like our ancestors-the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) companions. May Allah bless them all. Vision 2030 is proof that Saudi Arabia has moved beyond the old deal. The main goal of this transformation is to end dependency on oil. In the past, much of the wealth was spent by the royal family, but that has now been significantly cut. The money is being reinvested into the country’s infrastructure to diversify the economy. Moreover, Saudi holdings in the U.S. Treasury have been declining, and a recent deal with China to sell oil in their currency reflects this shift. Saudi Arabia is carefully concluding the old deal, but you can’t sever ties with a superpower overnight. Nonetheless, the change is clearly happening.
As per my knowledge king Faisal ,showed, absolutely not, type behavior and america had to face tough time without oil supply from Arabs , that's why they murdered shah Faisal by a technique by involving the family member of shah Faisal in the matter.
A valid explanation of US foreign policy with regard to these matters, especially with Kissinger as Secretary of State, and the petrodollar, except that you conveniently gloss over something major - there wouldn't even be a need for or value in oil if not for the West and Europeans. As a matter of fact, it is almost entirely because of Western technological innovation over the past 200 years that there even is a modern world. If not for this fact, there would be no internal combustion engines, cars, planes, the industrial revolution, lightbulbs, the electrification of cities, the silicone microchip, semiconductors, computers, software, the internet, the telephone, radios, rockets, spacecraft, cameras, microwave technology, satellites, and over 90% of the inventions that have shaped the world as we know it. As the King even said, and you also mentioned, if they felt the need to resist US intervention and blew up their oil fields as a last resort for maintaining control of the supply, they would simply go back to living a tribal desert life as they had done for thousands of years and it the rest of the world that would suffer. I found it incredible that you didn't hear yourself when you were saying that the structure of the deal that was created by the US which generated trillions of dollars for them 13:57 "for nothing, we haven't produced anything,.. furthermore when they want to develop Saudi Arabia and they want to Westernise it, guess who they're going to come to: us. They're going to come to us for construction companies, technology... it's almost satanic... I don't know how they fell for it." Um, that is precisely the only way, by definition, that they could 'Westernise,' and that is what they wanted and needed to do to transform their societies by trading their oil for Western ingenuity. How else would they 'Westernise', i.e., develop into a modern technological society, seeing as they hadn't invented any part of it? You're ironically making this video with the aid of every technological invention around you, only possible because of Western countries, but you don't seem to recognize this. Middle Eastern people simply happened to live where the largest reserves of fossil fuels were under their feet for millions of years before they ever stepped foot there. Western and European countries are the reason that the world isn't still living in the Stone or Bronze Ages any longer, as well as the reason that the Saudis are as rich as they are and drive gold Rolls Royces. And for that matter, the reason that you are even able to make this video. Otherwise, it would still be buried in the ground beneath them as it had been for millions of years before, with them still completely oblivious as to its true potential.
May Allah forgive him, but he was one dumb Mofo of a leader, weak, brainless and had no foresight, only his guilt at the end of his life may be the one things can redeem him when he stopped the oil sale, but you can't sell muslim land and wealth wholesale then cry Jacob took your land and wealth.
That doesn't set the bar high lol (considering both the relatively short history of Saudi rule and that they are ruthless dictators who love the $ a bit too much). That's like saying he was the best smelling homeless junkie on the street. I mean look, the "best Saudi king" signed the USA - Saudi petrodollar deal in the 1974. If that's your best king then woe to us with the worst one...
Don't worry under comment zship, these struggle to make it out but it's assumed he is currently enjoying azab al qabr BBQ and having a cookout like A real Sharon in the barzakh.
may allah forgive and have mercy on king faisal . I saw a video before ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNjHShPVUsI.htmlsi=0Fo7hytYGa1rxqQM and i can see how honest and sincere king faisal was in his fighting . What happened regarding this petrodollar agreement , i believe king faisal was misled and tricked by lies by USA . we muslim should have a good thought of our brothers .
This Brother never seizes to amaze me in his accumulation of knowledge and research. This channel needs to be bigger and more people need to see this stuff.
Look at the thumbnail, king Faisal is portrayed with devil horns and Henry Kissinger, security-adviser of Nixon, sits relaxed with his back to 'devilish' king: no worries. Kissinger, he could probably be listed in top 5: pure evil men of last two centuries. He was intelligent, sick and very sick! He was known for his illegal type of warfare and deepdark quotes like; "The illegal we do immediately, the unconstitutional takes a little longer". He was a Jew, but he said outrageous things about Soviet Jews. His illegal and unconstitutional actions had real-world consequences; more then six million victims in Indochina, Cambodia, Vietnam and who knows where else. Amazingly this w*rcr*m*n*l, despite accusations by critics, got a Nobel peace price 1973! Yet again an American govern official does not get jailed! And ofcourse Nixon and Ford should have been jailed! Biden, Netanyahu and their administrations! The message: Muslims need to unite. The USA-led West have devided us. Look what they are doing to the Ummah. Taking us out one by one and often we help them in some way or form.. ❤Palestine🇵🇸
many of these conflicts he instegated would have happened regardless at some point, so he culdnt be convicted beyond reasonable doubt thts how it works in the west [thnk god] we have moved on frm monkey medievil judicial system
This was a fantastic breakdown of the the situation between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. The only point which I beg to differ is the suggestion that King Faisal was somehow 'hoodwinked' into the Petro Dollar deal. I believe he signed up to this deal because it ensured his family would remain in a position of Leadership forever. Absolutely Brilliant breakdown Sir.
That is a valid perspective, affording the king and excuse us about as much as can be done before committing to the idea that he entered into this agreement wilfully and intentionally (such a pill is very hard to take, in all honesty). Many thanks 👍🏽
To piggy back off of that comment, ultimately this is usury, and a act against Allah (eliminating gold for monopoly papers) this along with other acts that are against our religion have put us in the state that we are in. May Allah have mercy on us.
brother, this was amazing- this might be one of the best RU-vid videos I have ever watched. I specially admire how you make all of this political history simple and easy to understand for us regular folk; You have gained a subscriber today because you made all this extensive history look like a talk you have with one of your friends over a coffee. if there's one thing I like about your content is how god you are at simplifying difficult politics into a digestible conversation. Well done bro.
The petrodollar agreement was one of King Faisal's most strategic decisions, made during the Cold War when nations were forced to align with either the USSR or the United States. Faisal chose the U.S., and had he opted for the USSR, it's possible the Soviet Union might still be a superpower today. However, the USSR, with its atheistic ideology, was a difficult choice for a leader with Faisal's values.
I watched a documentary where they were saying Saudis brought down the Soviet by flooding the market with cheap oil and putting the Soviet out of business since the backbone of the Soviet economy was oil. I'm sure American Jews were micromanaging the Saudis and telling them what to do and how to do it but it was the Saudi oil that brought the Soviets to their knees.
Thank u my brother for your teaching on what went on in the 1970 I am American but I am not a follower of my Governments ugly ways 😢 I am a follower of yeshua/Isa and they are not no mater how many times they say they are i am sad for that 😢😢😢 the Zionest and all who follow their ways are fowlers of EVIL 😢😢😢😢 Massacring men women and CHILDREN are not God's ways 😢😢😢😢 I will still pray for them all but I will never stand with them I cry for all my Muslim brothers and sisters 😢😢😢😢 bless you for your teaching 🙏 my name is Liza
God bless you Liza. Most people are the victims of their government's abuse of power both at home and abroad, we do not condemn the American public for what those in charge (and their allies) have done abroad.
I recommended any and everyone to join the exclusive membership and benefit from the courses Ustadh is great at articulating and in presentation like you are watching a film , unbiased and raw information my only complaint Ustadh is I wish I could learn in aqueedah I appreciate your work BAArakallahu Feek I am a revert from US and learned a lot
This is almost well spelt out in Sheikh imrans lectures delivered 20 yrs ago and he said exactly has you are laying out…Saudi Arabia agreeing to sell oil to only in US dollars, 1973 Petrodollar was born and it became or function has mountain of Gold. Great video 🫶🏽🫡
They called our beloved sheikh crazy 😢 our beloved teacher who thought us the games of dajjal they deserve what is coming 😢 over 20 years he was talking and nobody listen to him even the poorest of civilian's are blind the Rich are blind 😢
Allahu'akbar. For all the history you've spoke of, there is just one single underlying factor every Muslim should recognize and understand. In the end, such a great country fell simply because it involved itself with "INTEREST". One of the major things Almighty Allah tells us to avoid in the Qur'an.
What? Saudi is the safest country if not one of them. Where are the rapes murders drugs criminals? That place is safe because they obey the ruler, destruction comes to a ppl when they go against their leader
I think this is the brother I lost the contact for a while. I am glad I found him here . He is by profession an accountant , but quite knowlable Western world's tricks on muslims .
They didn't 'fall' for it, Perkins mentioned it, 'they are corruptable', not individually but collectively (who isn't!) Political, economic and military/CIA pressure normally gets the job done for the USA. Iran, Venezuela, Cuba etc only a few have withstood the US and all suffered for decades as a result
Man Americas foreign policy needs to become a subject the craftiest people on earth, I do admire it when I look it at objectively and hope the ummah gains such an ability for the sake of Allah
The victor writes the history books. At one point the world pope was carefully selected by the Muslim Khalifah. As little as a few hundred years ago the British army kneeled in front of the Muslim Indian ruler. Yet now Arabs don’t even DARE speak out against Israel. It’s isn’t craftiness, it’s military and economic prowess. But above all, it’s courage. America can say we will attack you. The Arabs will pee their pants before uttering such words…in their own bedrooms. Humiliation entered the Ummah once the Arabs betrayed
Im a Sunni Muslim and im left nothing but to ask "is Saudi Arabia even a Muslim" I know Saudi Arabia uses Islam to as an insurance to stay in power. But what would have they done if their power didn't needs islam to maintain it?
The oil embargo of 73 was a collective effort and an action that the Saudis agreed to reluctantly. What made it worse for the west is the oil companies manipulative actions of slowing shipments and creating more oil shortages. They gained. The assissination of Faisal was a family matter in revenge for the killing of the nephew's father in the early 60s. Faisal was not what people think of him. He was not the religious, righteous man. He was focused on the preservation of the family and the kingdom he inherited. I believe the Saudi regime takes the lion's share of the blame for what the middle east is now.
@qualityman1965 True, King Faisal was killed out of revenge by his nephew, Faisal bin Musa'id because King Faisal had ordered the killing of his(King's) half brother Prince Musa'id bin Abdulaziz, also for allowing the the killing of Faisal bin Musa'id's older brother Khalid bin Musa'id, in addition to having many other family disagreements.
“We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” -James Paul Warburg, whose family co-founded the Federal Reserve - while speaking before the United States Senate, February 17, 1950
Excellent video. I think the only misunderstanding was how the US earns interest on Saudi’s money. The saudis earned the interest in their sovereign funds, which was the incentive to make the deal for the saudis. Very great deal by far for the Americans, but I think in a vacuum, the countries with the sovereign wealth funds have done quite well financially. Doesn’t mean they got their fair share in that trade.
The 70s in the US, inflation was burning through and through. 1971 saw the stop-gap measure to cease gold-convertability for the dollar by foreign central banks. When Saudi signed the Petrodollar Deal, it extended lifeline to US and their dollar. Out of a sudden, the world needs more dollar to buy oil - a surge of artificial demand. With that, during 70s and early half of 80s, US could export some of its inflation abroad and foreign oil trade settlement needs the dollars.
One thing you didn’t mention was how just 3 years prior, the US took the dollar off the Gold Standard. Initially it was described as a temporary move. As the US just needed a little time to stabilize the dollar, and the Standard would be restored. A couple years pass and the dollar still can’t be redeemed for gold. But then Bingo, this agreement occurs. And the dollar now in essence is backed by oil!
My friend, the Saudis, UAE, Qatar etc have supported and profited from every American war. How do you think the Iraq war occurred? How do you think the Afghanistan war occurred?
Sorry, I disagree with the point where you mention that money has to be deposited back to US. Money can be deposited with Japanese or EU banks in thier respective currency. The bank accounts are called Nostros. However, all these currencies are part of NATO team
Review the projected timeline for when various countries will deplete their oil supplies. Then you'll understand the methods of utilizing someone 's else's resources before yours.
Recycling petro-dollar fiat currency and mandating using it for oil transactions is indeed was devious and crafty from U.S. Secretary of State at that time Henry Kissinger✡ he played a key role in facilitating agreements that linked oil sales to the dollar, King Faisal scarified the integrity of his country for solidify U.S. military support for Saudi Arabia that was dealine mistake.
He was to Ale Saud what Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz was to the Ummayads. Caring for his people, reforming the corruption of the monarchy, acknowledging Shias as part of the nation....all the same steps Umar took. And of course from what I've heard, the Ummayads plotted against Umar....and so did Ale Saud against Faisal. SubhanAllah.
The petro-dollar deal was imposed at gunpoint. The US wanted the Saudis to raise the price of oil as far as possible. 80% of all the revenue had to be used to purchase US treasuries. This was a massive transfer of wealth to the US from the rest of the world. The Arabs cannot withdraw/sell their US treasury bonds. Professor Richard Werner.
It was a marriage destined to fail. Linking Oil to US Dollar was a Policy Error.. but in 1972-73, the Saudis were on a weak wicket. Mosaddeq wanted Iranian Oil for Irans development and was removed in an American coup. Faisal acqueised, and was not thrown out like Mosaddeq. Mosaddeq was right on principle.. but US / UK wished to "invade" and take the oil FOR FREE. Essentially a Colonial Project. "Take their Gas (for free) and kick their Arse" was / is The Policy.
Very onesided perspective, first the gambling of blowing oil fields happened during the 1973 war between Arabs and Israel.. the deal happened afterwards and the main reason was the agreement that Saudi can buy the shares of the american companies and have full owner ship on the oil and production, before that Saudi Arabia used to get a fixed amount per barrel and a small share of the profit. This decision is what made Saudi Arabia the very wealthy county we knows today.
It's not that simple that they fooled King Faysal for petro-dollar. I once saw a documentary, on why saudis really had no choice except to to tie oil to dollar. I don't really remember the details, but you can research to understand it better.
Did you not hear what the Saudi Finance and Oil minister said in the interview or the anecdote of Faisal when they threatened to take away everything? America didn't have that sort of card to play in the 1970s. They had to compromise and remain diplomatic, the Saudis were not forced to do anything
Was this happening at the same time as the Club of Rome's 1972 report on Limits of Growth? Second, can renewables ever offset the limited supply of oil in the world? Do nuclear plants help ease the energy crisis or do these too require oil to run them?
The Saudi Salafis in the US , Europe, and the UK particularly are the antithesis of the Salafis in. this era with King Faisal. Unfortunately, most people don't even get it.
@@TheBurner35 Nah it describes them perfectly. A cult of disbelievers who w0r.ship taghut, and preach obedience to w0r.ship taghut. Got a problem, 'fella'?
@@-------....___Brilliant, more buzzwords, thank you! Let me guess, the Saudis are undercover Jews installed by the Brits and sustained by the Americans?
Salaam. Not just Saudi but the whole world trades in USD hence why it has the so called world reserve currency status which allows the US to control global banking. A new system will hopefully come out soon from the BRICS countries which will lead to the demise of the USD as the world's reserve currency.
Wa Aleikum Salam. That is correct, it's virtually a global standard at this stage however the crypto market may be a disruptive force that could potentially break this hegemonic stranglehold in the foreseeable future. We will just have to wait and see
Brother, BRICS is a failure. Because the states included in BRICS are involved in disputes among themselves. For example China-India tensions. This organization will not last long.
May Allah have mercy on king Faisal rahimahullah. I also wish he wouldn't allpw the satellite dish in Saudi. His generation May have survived in the desert, just as he told Kissinger but modern generation will never accept that
People keep giving faisal credit for nothing. He was just as bad as fhe rest. It was the Pakistani Prime Minister Bhutto that kicked sense into his head and assured him of full support if the U.s did anything. The muslims were united alot more than today and he had excellent relations with them all. Faisal jad to be pressured, he was no saint by any means.
Although the Dollar itself was based upon the F I A T currency. This dollar has decreased in value over decades with inflation. The siphoning of wealth gone to top percentage of oligarchs
Few minutes ago you said usa opted to invade Saudi Arabia, now you said saying petrol dollar deal was bad decision, kissinger came not to speak but threaten middle Eastern leaders in 1970s
Saudi Arabia probably looks at what happened to its neighbors who went against the hegimony and feel happy about their decision even though it was unethical.
This is the issue today as well. I don’t like how the Saudi’s are so rich but rely on American defense. This is not ok for a sovereign nation, especially rich one. Also, the problem with a lot of the downfall is the people talking to much.
Saudi were militarily and technologically behind during that time, they knew that the US is no.1 and wanted to side with the US for long term prospect and accelerated growth. part of this deal was the petrodollar. which essentially is a scratch my back I’ll scratch your back deal. by signing this deal, the USA can ensure that it remains no.1 and saudi can rely on no.1 for growth and security. had they not made that deal, who knows if Saudi would even be around today.
