The deck has very little lifegain or ways to reset the ring, so for a control deck to be running it it's a little risky. Much better in a more proactive deck, where you're not the one under pressure in most games.

33:25 there was an interesting play available to force the opponent into the draw 2 mode from command, it would allow clearing the token and grow the orcs

Hey LVD, you mentioned playing key to the archive IF you were playing alchemy cards. 1st, I am curious what your reason is for not playing alchemy cards you'd consider strict upgrades over existing choices? 2nd, what would you replace if you were to add that card and are there any other alchemy cards we should consider for this deck such as Crucias perhaps? Thanks for another great deck and video, been a fan of yours since the old duels of the planeswalker days 😉
By not including Alchemy cards I don't confuse players looking to build these decks in paper. I personally enjoy the deck more that way. Key would replace Cornucopia for me. Haven't thought about other Alchemy cards, since I haven't read them all yet.
I just had to add the one ring to this deck. Also added key to the archive and chromatic lantern in place of some of the other ramp. Also added call of the ring because that's basically a draw 4(or 8 with phial) on every upkeep if you have sauron out. Other than that, this deck is absolutely siiiiiick.

Decks that can recur Time Warp in any way are so ridiculous. I'd love to see LVD play a single blue deck without automatically adding it and Rivers Rebuke for once too
The deck doesn't have significant ways to recur Time Warp, afaik, and Rivers Rebuke is pretty much white's Wrath of God for control. The blue decks you are looking for would be Wizard prowess (with the exception of that jank Wizard with Alchemist Gambit).
@@monkaeyes3417 Ward technically reads as something like "when this permanent is targeted by a spell/ability an opponent controls, counter that spell unless the ward cost is paid" so it's still possible to target the permanent, fail to pay the ward, and lose the spell anyway. pretty gnarly :P

31:20 The main reason why I hate Alchemy cards, the "perpetually" clause is stupid enough but the "seek" is also a royal PITA, those cards should stay in the alchemy-only format.
@LVD: I can't for the life of me import your decklist into MTG Arena. It either complains about "Cut // Ribbons" or (when I click "specific before") about "Negate". Weird...
Yeah, sometimes Aetherhub has problems with those aftermath cards. If you paste the list in Notepad you can remove the problematic cards and add them manually after importing the rest.
The export option is not working for me. It has a problem with double sided cards like cut // ribbons. Arena doesn't recognize it. Does anyone know how to fix it? thx
