Matanga is funeral! In Western Kenya once a person dies they organize for farewell. They have to call friends and relatives from all corners. As they wait for friends and relatives to arrive, those present have vigil. During the vigil, majorly youths have this dance at night. The song has some Swahili, Luhyia and SA language

Disco matanga simply means the dancing that happens at night when someone die. They're meant to fundraise some money to help the family as they arrange for funeral. They're always fun and comic. Like someone may dare you to do something or else you pay money. The dare are always extreme thus people prefer to give money instead. If u don't have money you take the dare. As I said it's meant to fundraise. It's all fun.
