Thanks a lot for posting this attempt. The SAVAGE BOBBER DW Hobby Zlin Aviation has a real manufacturing defect. All pilots encounter the same problem...angle of incidence is too high !

The ending was a little abrupt. Looks like it doesn't like the heavy passengers 🙂 On another video on this model, the conclusion was that the angle of incidence is too high. So maybe you trim the elevator down a little before the next attempt.

Perhaps Snoopy and the bunny are too heavy…maybe Woodstock should pilot 😀 3 cell and alter thrust angle to right and I think she will fly…. It’s still mainly in one piece so don’t give up 👍

I have seen the same problem with someone else trying to fly this model and was wondering if it was because of the open framed rear fuselage? Reason for that is that a closed in fuselage provides some lateral 'rudder' effect to the airflow thus helping to keep the aircraft pointing ahead. This means that the time at takeoff is critical to get the velocity of air over the tail feathers to get control. Just a thought. Keep up the good work guys and as always, enjoy yourselves!

Hi, I have one of those, I think its garbage as on take off the left wing stalls and becomes unflyable, even with a hand launch it doesnt fly nice and as soon as the speed comes off for landing it tip stalls. I think it has a built in design flaw with the wing angles.Had mine on 3 cell so it had power to get off ground,but it looked like yours on a 2cell set up was going to do the same thing. foam planes are locked in the mold from the factory, but with wooden arfs you should always set up your incidence correctly or at least check it and CG as well as laterally balance the plane, wood ARFs are not plug and fly, and even though this is advertised a plug and play it is not, you have to install all the electronics.

@@DEeMONsworld For a small plane that cost $220 Australian dollars with out electronics, it should be factory set correct. FYI the wing incidence on this model can’t be altered

There is another person that had the same problem. I think that there is a design fault on it. I think that the angle of the motor is doing this,or use a smaller prop,so there is not much torque on it.

I've seen very mixed reviews of this plane. I hope to see yours in the air in the next video or two. Are you sure you guys "don't edit nothing"? I can picture Pilot Robert cursing like a drunken sailor just as your video ended. 😊

Not like you guys just to cut a video without a chat, even a "That was nothing!". I think the weight of fluffy toys counterbalancing quite a big battery was maybe a bit much for 2S but not sure why it went left so hard. EDIT: I've just watched some other videos of this aircraft. It has major issues and looks almost unflyable, even if you are lucky enough to get it in the air without it shooting off left or right. Should not have been signed off for production or something went wrong with them at the factory.

I'm building this model from the kit at the moment, my model has a fair degree of right and down thrust built into the firewall fyi. A few comments mention tip stalling in flight when slowed down, I may consider setting the ailerons up very slightly to help to combat this effect. I hope you have another go in getting this ship in the air, she looks great so she should fly great!

They already have a 2.3 meter (94") span in development for 30cc gas engine to be released next year. ARF welded steel fuselage.

Pilot roberti had the same problem it veers to the left and nose dives into ground. One pilot on RU-vid tossed it in the air. Something is wrong with this model

Try getting the tail up so it is running on the mains and build more speed before pulling back.

to much angle of attck for this speed so it stall before getting in the air : this plane stall by the left wing. put a 3 cell, get rid of the bunny and put some down elevetor at take of (and some right rudder for the motor's couple. salute my friends.

The Motor assembly needs to be pitched sligtly Down and the Shaft pointed to the Right a few degrees.. Use Washers to pitch the Motor slightly down and to the Right. This cancels out the "Left Pitch Factor".

I had pre-ordered this airplane over a month ago and it had finally shipped just today. I'll be receiving mine by this Friday according to tracking info. I've watched several videos on this particular airplane, and half of them have veered a hard left on take-off. I'm going to inspect the thrust angle and see if it needs more down and right before I maiden it. Plus I'm going to glide it first to see if it flies straight and see if the CG is correct. Thanks for your video.

Hello from a big fan of yours in France. Here are 3 things to change to allow this one to fly well. Reduce the angle of attack of the wing by packing under the trailing edge about 2 or 3 mm. Use a heat gun to warp each side of the wing to reduce the angle of attack at each wing tip by 2 or 3 mm. This is called adding "Washout". Change the tailwheel for a longer higher one. With those things done, start your take off run with low power, wait till the tail lifts, and then add power and rotate.

Fuselage looks too short ? Dihedral is also not correct. Not all models are made to fly . Possibly a new hanger queen 👸? Thanks for sharing

Great try ;-) Love to watch as always ... let's keeping up.. Seems like the thrust angle need to be align, it obviously has a strong torque roll tendency .. I think guess with 2200mah batteries on this 2S setup, is a little too heavy. may be change the power system with 3S 1300mah (of cause to replace the ESC as well to minimize risk, is better) By the way, had you test the thrust to weight ratio? Is it 1 to 1, or 0.7 to 1? or much lesser ? Cheers!

I have this type printed out from plane prints, I think it is heavy for only 900mm wingspan, I did some flights and for take off I had to use evasive right rudder to keep it straight during take off. During flight it was wobelly and I've never in my rc carier had such a behavior. I think the reason is naked fuselage ;)
