Part of this Congress ( House of Representatives ) just placed articles of impeachment against Himeland Security Director Mayorkas . However, when it got to the Senate who is by the Constitution required to hold a trial on those charges. But instead of doing what is Constitutionally Required of them, they held some committee meatings ( democrats only ) and simply tokk several votes to drop the charges. There is no provision in the constitution for them to do this without first examining facts and hearing evidence, yet they did. NO RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW. Everytime this type explicit violation of law is allowed we come one step closervto complete dictatorship.
Congress isn’t the judicial branch. Contempt isn’t a thing with them. This behavior is completely insane and she needs to be completely banned from any government position, but she can’t be held in contempt here.

As a Brit, I have to ask. What is the point of these hearings, what purpose do they serve? Every video I've seen like this the people being questioned just refuse to answer any questions. Are there no repercussions for this, like contempt of court type of thing? And the issues that he's asking questions about, does that lead to anything? Like a ruling, punishment, anything?

Mainstream media keeps telling lies they say he’s said but they can’t give any proof. What really concerns me is that millions of people support Trump but mainstream media never has both sides of any story about Trump. There is only the negative side. I also looked into those stories and cannot find one thing to back them up or prove them true. Isn't refusing to answer a question from a Congressional committee an act of clear and undeniable contempt of Congress? If you or I did that, we would be instantly charged.
My father was subpoenaed in a case regarding intellectual property. He was not interested in testifying. They sent US Marshals to stake out our house, and he was forced to testify. Not before congress, just in federal court. Over IP, business stuff. And yet this lady, this shrew, can just stonewall without repercussions? It's fucking ridiculous. (To be clear my father was not a party in the case on either side, just a witness)

Are ANY of these witnesses EVER charged with lying under oath to lying to Congress, and if not, why not? If a few of these hostile witnesses, or persons being vetted for government positions were found to be lying, were charged and sentenced to imprisonment, some more thought on their answers to Congress.
