Very nice rifle from Savage that comes as a package with a Nikon 3x9x40 scope. If you have any questions that are not answered by the video, feel free to comment and I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge.
Very good rifle choice sir. My dad bought me a savage 110 in 30-06 ( wood stock but same rifle as your 16) back when i was a teenager. I been shooting and hunting with it for 17 years now without a single mishap. These aren't the fanciest rifles made but i assure you it will last a lifetime with proper care and very few will shoot as good. I been thinking about picking up a 116 like yours to compliment my 110 wood stock riflle. Thanks for sharing
LifeOn2Wheels the rifle comes with 2 studs on the stock and on the foregrip, they are there for mounting slings and bipods. if you buy a harris, caldwell or any good name bipod you should be able to mount it onto that stud with no problem.
is this a valid alternative choice of a remington 770? anyway is there a better choice of a 770 at the same price? i need an affordable rifle for sport long distance shooting, not hunting, maybe in .243 WIN. thanks to all ppl that answ me
It's a Caldwell. I picked it up at Bass Pro years ago. I think it was around 40 or 50 bucks at the time. Probably can find them online for cheaper. It still sits on that rifle today and I never had a problem with it, except for tightening it up every once in a while.
@emotionlessmarshmallow4581 Honestly, you can't go wrong with any Savage in that caliber. Just beware of the Axis 2, it works, but it's really rough and not refined as some more expensive models. But yeah, a new Savage without a scope will be roughly 600-700. I'd go for the 110 model. Im not even sure if they make the 16 anymore.
