Ah Savant I love this but it is so hard to get used to this no pattern style. I mean there is no chorus - drop - chorus - breakdown - buildup - drop blah blah blah. There are so many good parts that never get repeated and I feel like sometimes you need repetition in music. But maybe I need to be more open for this style.
I agree to an extent. Some melodies are good enough to warrant a few repetitions with a few minor adjustments throughout the song. A good example would be Arcade Night Cruise. I kinda wish his songs were a little more focused, because sometimes they just feel a bit schizophrenic nowadays.
Every song from Zion I've heard until now is a fucking masterpiece in itself, and they will all be wrapped up in a giant pack of awesomeness. I've never been waiting for a 13rd december like this.
Between 2:25 and 2:39 is seriously the sweetest thing i've ever heard! (like, litteraly) and then changes to a perfect tune fitting for the album art! Big kudos! :)
No kidding, I remember hearing it ages ago. It used to have this vocal right before the first drop with someone saying something along the lines of "welcome to world of tomorrow." It's definitely one of my favorite tracks off of Zion.
SavantFans Reboot Teased on Snapchat maybe? Yeah it's my favorite from the previews for now and I'm still waiting to hear Apocalypse, Outcasts, Crusade and Princess Of Zion
I heard that the ending of the new Apocalypse is insane, but I can't bring myself to listen to it until its official release. Also, the new PoZ has some of the vocals from "Together" in it, which sounds pretty cool. Can't wait for the full release + Invasion, should be awesome!
Sami Ben Dhahbi I just listened to the stuff he released on major league gaming, and tbh I'm pretty disappointed. I've found all of my favorite parts of the teaser and he's changed pretty much all of them to things that I like a lot less. :( and I was so hyped for Zion too... If I were to make a guess it would be that he pulled a George Lucas and kept messing with a finished product. They have all these crummy distortions over them now. ~ I think that these changes might only be in the MLG sound-cloud, but I don't want to do any side-by-side listenings right now.
I love your spontaneity with music. I can feel just as you feel with each change. Just like your own stroke with a paint brush, you manifest a sound all your very own. And there are certain special people that love everything you do every single way that you do it. We hear your magical creativity in each beat as we create with our own feet. It goes deeper than clubs and venues. It strikes the very core of one's soul. It's feeling the same vibrations of energy that resonate so readilly with one's inner frequencies. And it's fucking ethereal man. THAT, is why I AM a Savant follower.
It bothers me when artists use the same drops and baseline throughout the whole song but you always keep it mixed up and the whole things still sounds awesome!
I'd like to thank my friend, Matt, for introducing me to savant through melody circus. At the time, I was searching for some retro game music, and that song really struck a cord with me. Ever since then, I'v been obsessed.
Congrads dude this is fucking amazing and I don't care if there is no structure because you truly show off how creative you are by making so many different sections rather than just repeating them. Music like this is inspirational for me as an aspiring producer so thanks a ton!
Living is similar to music like this. You don't have to repeat something for it to be awesome. Sometimes you do. Sometimes you don't. But every moment can be different and enjoyable in its own right.
And that guy has some mad artistic talent as well! they are kind of the perfect duo! with him making the most epic music and him providing the magnifficent artwork giving the ultimate atmosphere! :)
I also enjoy how you create a new version of your character that embodies the theme of the album. It's a nice touch unique that I haven't seen any other EDM producer use.
Oh god the chills!! I got the chilly chills you get when you hear something that fucking good!!! I didn't wanted this song to end!! Three freaking songs out and I already love this beast of an album!!!
poyabideogeim If troll, 7/10. If real, 2/10. But seriously, this isn't dubstep. RU-vid Search "Dubstep" and compare it with Desert Eagle. They're nothing alike. This song is relatively difficult to define a genre for, as is most of Savant's songs, but it's certainly not dubstep. However, if you don't agree then to be honest it isn't my job to make you learn what each genre is. I'm just letting you know you have the opportunity to realise you're wrong instead of having it forced down your throat like most RU-vid comment section replies.
+Buddy Somebody Genre is a very song-by-song kind of thing. Sure some artists and groups have a niche, but especially in electronic music it's easy to experiment and fool around from song to song.
The way Savant structures his music always felt eerily familiar to me as it reminds me of the way some people think. Let me explain. Imagine the mind, traveling at unimanginable speeds, trying to expand into all directions at the same time, zooming by ideas, places, concepts, memories sometimes lingering only for a split-second befor being propelled elsewhere. Now imagine a craftsman, a helmsman, controlling this insane voyage just long enough to distill it into sounds that persist. THAT is Savant to me. He has mastered an art many people with volatile minds know exist but never really learn to control. A Savant Track is our mind on a very good day.
Dude... I don't even listen to dubstep and I had this shown to me by a friend but THIS PIECE BLEW MY MIND You are an artist. If anyone tells you different, I beg to differ.
totally in love with everything from ZION so far. nearly had an eargasm @2:25*-* seriously Aleksander you´re the reason I changed the genre I produce from Hardstyle to this kind of experimental Electro/Dubstep :)
+DasFlummi When he created the overworld album, and when he got alot of recognision. He told everyone he DIDN'T want to become a mainstream DJ. I am glad he said this. Most mainstream DJ's are proper aids
Aleksander, I really enjoy and feel your work. For me, you're a so fucking good artist and i find inspiration in your songs. Also i see a constant evolution in each production you do. So... Keep it up Savant!!
Am I the only one thinking that each album has a specifical universe and style , and that those songs could totally be from a movie or a video game ? Protos , orakel , (insert amazing album here ) and now ZION ... Savant is a great artist...
ProPiloco5 good decision and i forgot to say that this here is the best song in my opinion of ZION und Outcast is very good too. Sadly i couldnt resist and i heard the whole album before the release and now im not hyped towards the 13. Dec. Sadly...
Kali379 those 4 are my favs too :P, i didnt really care for meshugga cause its repetitive and so was spider, the intro to spider was good, but it was 3 mintutes of repetitive bass with slight change
Except no. He's absolutely not. Great music, no doubt. But he didn't invent anything or achieved anything groundbreaking. Yknow, unlike Tesla. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me but I highly doubt that I'm wrong.
