This video is about the before and after performance of a 25 year old golf. Before the golf cart had six 8v flooded batteries that weighed 63.5lbs each! That a bit over 380lbs! I then replaced them with one 48v Lifepo4 battery from EHY. The numbers you will see in the video speak for themselves. Also, installation was a breeze. Just removed old batteries and the cables that connected the batteries to one another, leaving the cables going to the motor controller. Then all you need to do is put in the new battery and connect the positive and negative cables! Easy!

...Jim...very interesting demo and comparison for that LifePo4 battery.....if I were to do the change out, I think I would go with four 12.8 volt 100 ah in series and save quite a bit....over a $1000 perhaps?....thanks for posting.....keep the DIY videos coming..... 🙂

Hello, comparing the advantages of a single 51.2V (48V) 100Ah lithium battery from different perspectives: 1. Power: A single 51.2V (48V) 100Ah lithium battery, due to the integration of a battery management system, can achieve 2C maximum sustainable discharge, that is, the maximum continuous output current can reach 200A, and the maximum continuous output power can reach 10.24KW. In addition, 300A (60s)/400 (30s)/600A (3s). And the maximum continuous discharge current of four 12.8V 100Ah series connected together can only reach 100A, with a maximum power of only 5.12KW. Once loaded or climbing, overload and power outage may occur due to insufficient power. 2. Weight: Two sets of four 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries need to be connected in series, and then two sets need to be connected in parallel. In reality, only eight 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries can have the same power as a single 51.2V (48V) 100Ah lithium battery. One 12.8V 100Ah lithium battery weighs approximately 22 pounds, while eight weigh approximately 196 pounds, while a single EHY51.2V (48V) 100Ah lithium battery weighs only 102 pounds. 3. In terms of installation, safety, and intelligence, the battery of a single golf cart is far superior to a single 12.8V 100Ah lithium battery In summary, only 8 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries can achieve the same power as a single 51.2V (48V) 100Ah lithium battery, and the price, weight, installation difficulty, intelligence, etc. cannot be compared with a single EHY golf cart battery.

Can you pls help me? I have licitti battery box and li time 100 ah battery! Trying to find out if it's okay to hook up a Pecron dc to dc charger 500 watt to the licitti 50 amp in and out Anderson connector! With out any charge controller! I know battery has a bms! But I'm not sure! Don't want start a fire or mess battery up! Cause I do vanlife. Don't want burn my house up lol! You Always answer my questions an I really appreciate that. Love your vids an channel.

The Li Time battery will easily accept that amount of charge. 500w is right around 40A @ 12.8v so you would be ok with using the 50A Anderson connector to charge the battery. I would test it to see if the connection gets hot, but it will probably just get warm to the touch, which is ok. Hope this helps! Good luck and stay safe.

In contrast, a single 51.2V 100Ah lithium battery can achieve over 8000 cycles and a maximum power of 10.24KW, making the cost-effectiveness evident. 2. Compared to multiple 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries connected in series and parallel, due to the lack of an integrated battery management system, eight batteries are required to match the power of a single EHY golf cart battery. In terms of price, weight, size, installation difficulty, and intelligence, they cannot compete with a single golf cart lithium battery.
