It's oddly comforting to hear other people talk about how they're still going to celebrate Halloween. It makes me feel like I'm not the only one desperately trying to keeep Halloween going. I've been so miserably sick about it since the pandemic started. But no one around me seems to get as worked up about it as I do. Maybe that's for the best, but it has left me feeling isolated. So, this was kind of a relief.

"I regret not picking up those pumpkins" My son's reply: "you picked them up, you just didn't buy any 🙃" (ba-dum-tiss)

I have been so worried about Voltaire throughout this stupid pandemic. That I ended up having a bad dream. It was about a news report that said that he had been hospitalised. Strangely, during the dream, there was a small blue man sitting on a wall. Who kept laughing and saying, "that's not right. He isn't even from this planet. Silly bat". Which made me feel better when I woke up. But now I'm curious as to what my dream was suggesting? Something about eating cheese before bed, springs to mind. And then this popped in, much to my relief. Never leave us dear Sir, never leave us.

💜You are keeping me sane. I have a painful medical condition that keeps me mostly house/bedbound many years before quarantine (and that makes my quarantine so physically painful as well as ) and I find it hard to even watch or listen to media most of the time. (So validating you once mentioned you also have misophonia) but I can tolerate a few things on small doses. 🌟Those few things include YOU, your music, Studio Ghibli (barely even Disney Pixar anymore I've become so sensitive to certain themes/noise etc) and Citypop playlists. Anything under the level of LOVE irritates my mind and ears. So even things I *really like* I can't enjoy anymore. It's really isolating being so alone, and so in pain. But you for whatever reason are in some kind of "energy" I'm not allergic to (unlike most of the world it seems) and that feels WONDERFUL as I was worried I'd never feel anything I could enjoy ever again. You're someone I really trust. Thank you.

This is going to be one weird Halloween Almost everyone is already wearing a mask for almost half a year, your chances of getting TP’ed are low because of how all the tp is gone, and if you do get TP’ed your gonna end up having to save that stuff because the stores are out again

So thankful to be near an At Home. They always surprise me. Id like to believe the woodsy, muted colors were catering towards a more forest witch type of aesthetic. I would love to see you talk about all the uses you have for those gauze-like cloths! I love the look of them but i never know what to do with them!

This was the exact pick-me-up I needed, being likely still stranded in the UK this Halloween, where on an exceptional year, they still just don't get it. I will of corpse be in costume for the big day, even if it's only inside my current dwelling but there are a remarkable volume of cultural things that I will continue to miss. It's like there is an angular bat-shaped void in my chest as I've been longing for pumpkin everything as soon as that delicious early Fall chill spiked the evening air at the start of August. Fun fact: last year I purchased the second largest amount of canned pumpkin purée in all of England from one of the major grocery retailers over here, and I suspect a small resale shop to be the one who out-did me in the pursuit of pumpkin pomp and pie-foolery (if that's not a thing, it ought to be!). Keep the spooky fixes coming, please and thank you!!

So funny story: we got most of our wedding decorations from at home! We got married on Halloween last year, and that book box was used for our wedding cards. They really have some great items, personally.

I've always considered you the goofy eccentric uncle, also my mother raised me on Tolkien so those dragon pieces are perfect. HALLOWEEN WILL NEVER DIE! This was a very unexpected but very welcome birthday surprise, thanks Voltaire.

YESSSS I have been combating that lie for months. Halloween is NEVER cancelled, theres so many fun activities that involve being inside, decorating, movies, stories, music, crafts and baking, carving/decorating pumpkins, games, summoning the dead. You can even dress like a sexy crayon still and get drunk, just at home! The Halloween spirit can never die!

Agreed! Even if public things get cancelled, I don’t care. Halloween is a big deal in my family! We love the holiday, it’s tones of fun! And my Pop-pop’s birthday is Halloween, so we also celebrate to remember him! So we’re still gonna go all out with decorations, candy, costumes, and movies!

I absolutely adored At Home’s more garden-esque Halloween decorations. There was a very cute moss covered gargoyle there that is now fiercely protecting my bird feeders 😌

No mockery, there’s something oddly comforting about watching these videos this year. I nearly went to At Home earlier today but just kinda forgot.

Hi there, first of all I need to thank you, your music has encouraged me so much to be myself in public. I've always been the shy type so it's hard for me to always allow myself to wear the things I love the most which so happens to be a mix of different goth esthetics. Your music and story has taught me that if I'm not true to myself I'll never be truly happy. I hope that I will be able to catch a show the next time you come back to OK. And second, I'm going to completely redo my room and I have gotten so much inspiration from Gothic Homemaking so thank you for that too. And lastly I wanted to let you know that you have a superfan in Sweden who has felt like he's been lacking motivation/inspiration for some of his creative outlets. He's and ASMRtist and he does really cool and dark roleplays. He even placed 4th on Most Amazing Top 10's most terrifying ASMR videos. His channel is Darkest Star ASMR and if you ever find yourself bored with nothing better to do and you just so happen to remember this post, if it isn't too much trouble please check out some of his videos and if you feel a video worthy maybe drop him a comment. It would mean the world to him and hopefully it would bring back the spark he used to have for making videos. I know that you probably get asked fan favors all the time to the point that it's annoying by now. It took a lot to bring myself to ask but I love my friend dearly and I hate to see him dejected by something he took so much joy in doing, I just had to try even if it meant I may get blocked by you, a musician that I admire and respect. If you say no I will understand and I promise I will not ask again or annoy into submission like some fans might. I just needed to try. Halloween will live on. I have my decor. Stores have pumpkin beer and apple cider donuts. Candyman hopefully playing in theatres. All of the horror movies I've found on Listia and mostly VHS. Halloween will never die. We must avenge our beloved holiday.

One hundred percent on with Halloween this year. I plan on decorating inside and out and handing out treat bags to the trick-or-treaters. It's an outdoor festivity with families strolling by - probably less dangerous than making a run to the grocery store.

At Home is my favorite place for Halloween hauls. Different stuff every year!

Adoring the spider pillows! Over the years, I've leaned more toward spider decorations with some gargoyles that stay out all year. The living spiders (including the brown recluse) are mostly left where they are or put in safe corners outside) because I've gotten fewer bites from them than insects.

I'm so glad I watched this! I've been feeling lower the closer it gets to the Halloween season and the more it seems that we're all stuck here in purgatory. We have, on our lot, my husband's family's ancestral home, it's 131 yrs old and it really IS haunted! Anyway, every year we have a Halloween party in that house, but it looks like this year it won't be possible and it's breaking my heart, the night of my annual Halloween party is literally my favorite day of the year. This works for cleaning silk flowers, so it should work for your flocked velvet pumkins... When they get dusty, simply pour a cup or so of table salt into a bag that is large enough to fit the item you are cleaning.... Put said item into bag, close off the bag and shake gently... The salt should grab all of the dust and stay in the the bag... Dust off your flowers, or pumpkins and your good. 😊

At home is awesome, my wife and I raided them about a month ago and they had some of the best Halloween goodies that we're using for everyday decorations,l. We especially loved the round skulls candle holder!!
