Save Money Now! (DIY) How to fix a boat cover that gets filled with water  

Rain and boat covers dont mix! Lol. This little tent set up helps the rain slide off, it doesnt pool and I dont have to go out and siphon or pump 20 gallons of water off of the cover. Thank you and thank you for watching!

Maybe a simpler design, but it might cost a little more. Definitely would work too though.

Ive gotten a new cover but Im still using the same PVC support system. Its doing okay. In heavy winds sometimes it falls apart. I didnt glue all of it together so I could take it apart. Hope this helps. Thank you!

Haha, nope. Someday Ill spring for a nice boat cover though. Even the cheap ones are getting expensive

I did not do anything for the bow of the boat. Never had a problem with the water pooling there. Just the back. Once it happens, it stretches out the cover and makes it harder to get the cover tight.

No you’re not haha. Its a super slow video, I skip around watching it too lol. The pvc structure holds up because it never sees sunlight. The boat cover has “quality” issues as in, it keep stretching out. You can get it tight then it stretches out. You have to keep tightening it until one day, you cant get it tight anymore. I started placing a tarp underneath the cover. The tarp doesn’t see light so it stays in decent shape. You can get the tarp tight so it deflects the water.

Its holding up good. I put a tarp under the cheap boat cover because the tarp doesn’t stretch. We had some high winds and the back half of the structure came apart and let some water pool. The cheap covers stretch when they get some weight on them. The tarp under the cover keeps the water from pooling. I didnt have a tarp big enough to cover the entire boat so I just put the cover over the top of the tarp. Thank you for watching!

@@JustaDude123 it looks like the same cover I buy (Walmart). Seems to fit my boat the best. My boat is older and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a custom cover. Im going to do this today. Thanks
