I started with 6 House sparrows...in my garden.... Have been feeding them twice a day for a couple of years now and have at least thirty.... they all live together in my honeysuckle by my back door and they bath in a big dog bowl they are so cute... I feed them oats and seaded brown bread which they love along with wild bird food.. I could sit and watch them all day long.....
I live in Europe and different birds come especially in winter because it is difficult for them to find food. I give them almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, apples in pieces. They also sell food balls that you can hang on the trees when there is snow they have difficulty finding food and every time they fly they need energy.
I too have a "flock" of sparrows lol they're my babies. I love them so much. I have become a bit overly attached to them. But they're my babies, i feed and water them, i bathe them, i give them shelter/housing, i protect them, and i love them.....that makes them mine. 😉👉

Thanks for not put them in cage..thanks for love animals, thanks for try to teach how feed and let them go. In this time where is less forest, less food for them, because the inhumanity.against them. thank you ..eternal thank you..
Nice Job... In villages these sparrows have great job. They are called the farmers friends as they feed insects from fruit trees.. and fields. But in cities they need food because of little vegetation. And God Sends many persons to feed them like You.
I encourage people who like birds keep them free like you and me are doing. We just feed them food and water and special care when they are sick or injured. No more cages for any kinds of birds
For over 20 years I had a backyard full of House sparrows. They have a amazing social structure. They never attacked or killed other birds. They are so fun! I raised several orphan batches of them. The sweetest ,babies. And yes I like starlings too. But many other birds visited my feeders and bird bath. Early one spring a pair of tree swallows raised their babies in a nest box No issues. They are amazing little birds.
@@chicken7418 Yes, all 5 batches were soft released. In every cas, they were at least two, usually three or four siblings. So they didn't imprint. Actually only the first bunch all stayed in the yard or near vicinity. They were the youngest when they were brought to me. Only about one or two days old.. The sweetest babies.ever They came from across town. Little new comers to the flock. Quickly accepted.
Mre ghr m gilhari and sparrow bird bhut h,me inko bajra khilata hu winters m.garmiyo khilta hu m, toast , biscuit ko grind krke ek dabbe me bhr leta hu.then subh ek cup daal deta h daily.i feel like these are my small babies 😁
Love to see them coming on my terrace. Love to see how they communicate with each other. One or two will always come first and look out for the rest. If they don't say it's safe they're gone or simply don't come. Keep an eye on them and check it out. 😉
I have a question. I went out back today, and saw sparrows (3 or 4) acting crazy in the back yard. Something was wrong, so I went to go see what the commotion was all about. The birds didn't fly away as I would expect, instead looked at me for help. Looking around I saw a small nest, and something big moved next to it. A snake. It had a fresh hatchling in it's mouth, I grabbed the snake and it gave up the baby. I put the baby back in the nest and chased the garden snake off. The mother returned but was hesitant to go into the nest. So I left her to take care of her situation, I returned a hour later... The mother was gone, the baby sparrow was gone. There is a chance the snake returned. However my question is if a nest is compromised WILL THE MOTHER RELOCATE HER YOUNG, and how do they do it? If a bird falls out of a nest, do they have a way to get the hatchling back up a tree? What happened to the baby?
I've seen them pick up their young ones in their mouths to their nests. My parents always forbade us touching them because they said the sparrows don't come back for them if touched
@@aagantuk7370 I hope so, that snake almost had it all the way down. It was still alive and I wasn't going to let the snake keep it. It probably ate any others.. I hope not. I did my best to save the one, and it reminded me of the dragon in the Bible... The dragon had seven heads with a crown on each head. It also had ten horns. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and threw them down to the earth. It stood in front of the woman who was ready to give birth to the baby. It wanted to eat the woman’s baby as soon as it was born. Snakes are snakes. They don't know what they are, right from wrong, it's not their fault... But not today.
@@aagantuk7370 Thanks for that. I may never know, but I think she took it someplace safe. You save a life, you kind of want closure. I was hoping they can carry their young. What I realized were how close all the sparrows are to each other. There were 4 of them trying to stop that snake, they just couldn't do it. But to see them all trying to help the baby... There is something truly amazing about that. Trying to get MY attention... That baby has a guardian angel.
I did same job in jhansi uttar Pradesh and in Hoshangabad Madhya Pradesh in India but here in Gurgaon I miss them badly...hard to find the sparrows. It gives inner peace to my soul.
Me bhi yaha hi karta hu mera ghar me har din different different items hota ha to me ushme sae en sparrows ko deta hu mera ghar me to 20 to 30 sparrows ka bheed lag jata ha or unka chiper chiper sound sun kar to majja hi aa jata ha

Today sparrows are on the verge of extinction due to the urbanisation everywhere. We all should keep some water and grains for them wherever possible in our balcony or roof tops. Together we can save these beautiful creatures.
Nice job brother 👍👍👍. Don't listen to those mythology of rice and sparrow, like: they will die, they will burst, they can't be pregnant, these all are fake, just give them rice if u have or anyother (better give wheat or Chana dal) . Even sparrows love rice and wheat equally. Good job, they will bless u a lot 🙏🙏
Offering food to birds more frequently disturb their feeding habbit. And this should be stopped. Edit: you can offer them water, coz it doesn't have any significant effect. But don't offer food. Rather than this, you should plant fruit trees. It will be great for many.... The environment, birds, animals, butterflies, pests, insects......
