In this video I go over in depth how to successfully do a “front to rear jump” when installing a car audio amplifier in your vehicle. It will save you lots of time and money for this easy DIY install!
Great job explaining how to do this set up. Very, very well explained my man. If I had 10 thumbs as my fingers, I would give you 10 thumbs up instead of 2 thumbs up. Lol...but, awesome job! Ur the first that I've seen in years that has explained this method easy enough for anyone that's inexperienced to do this themselves. Kudos my friend.
Brother.. this is the best video i could have ever found, im doing a all skar audio setup, dual 8” sub, 2 amps, door speakers, and was trying to figure out how to run the wires for the front to rear speakers.
🤯so simple… idk why I didn’t think of this.. I was gonna disconnect the front speakers from the head unit. Then run amplified wires straight to them🤦♂️🤷♂️.. thanks dawg!!
I feel very stupid for not thinking of this lol I just rewired my old grand Cherokee from front to back put all new speakers a 15” alpine s 6.5pioneers in the rear doors 6x9 jbl pioneer head unit single din older model and amps are alpine 1000 mono and a kenwood digital....... its kind of a hillbilly mash up of gear but I did the whole thing for under $400 lol thanks to you and your videos I can make it sound it’s best, I’ve been doing stereos for 20 years just my own stuff and I’m never happy with the sound but I think I will be now I’ve been watching your vids for the last hour or so and learned more then I did with my own experiences lol great vids man you explain things very well and you’re not just helping out the new guys getting into it, there was no youtube when we were kids and we didn’t have anyone to help us out and give us some needed knowledge lol apparently it’s not normal for your subs to smoke 🤷🏻♂️ ahaha thanks for the help 👌🏻
whazz up man!? normaly dont comment much but bro I gotta take time to thank you and show appreciation!! Let me put it this way, I was super stressed and confused after watching the other video did not understand but I do now and stoked cant wait to hook my 4ch alpine up when it gets light lol thanks again!!
I would have just kept the aftermarket wire harness on and just spliced from there to keep from having to cut into my factory wire harness since you're using the RCAs from the headunit to the amp. It would've made it much simpler than having to figure out which wires are which on the factory harness. 🤷♂🤷♂
I know this was a year ago but why would you cut the factory plug of when you should have used the adapter plug from the head unit and just wire them together makes no sence.
@justanothermotorizedbikech5138 I know that .learn your wiring I've been doing this for 35 years and he still could've used the factory plug and not had the factory amp come on.
Great tip. I would have kept the aftermarket harness and used it to make the jumpers. This way you do not need to cut factory wires. You could even buy another harness and keep the one attached to the radio.
Man ive seen so much stuff on your channell that i was doing 20 years ago cuz i was just being lazy lol. Why run new wires lol? Good stuff. Now i know im not crazy lol.
Watch my other video of the actual build, as i discussed that I did orient my subs in every possible position to see what I liked best. Firing them forward gave me exactly the sound stage and dynamic I was looking for. To me, key words (to me) they sound much better currently as is.
I've done that a couple of times but my vehicles are old enough I worry about the factory wiring not being capable of handling power. So far it's worked out good though.
Another great video brotha. I was wondering if you could make a video on how to connect dual mids/highs amps and dual bass amps using one as a slave? But the kicker is wiring up an eq and epicenter as well!
Lets say if the factory speaker wire was disconnected from the speaker . Now that we have 4 different color wires . One with a stripe and one without on the factory wire ... How do you tell which wire is positive and which wire is negative. Cheers
Usually the wire with the stripe is negative. Since we all have Google it won't hurt to put it to work bcuz some car manufacturers are butt backwards and don't follow the rules.
Many ways to skin the cat here. I removed the entire harness all together to declutter all the wiring to be more minimalistic. Cleaned up very nice back there without the clunky harnesses in the way
This sounds good if you have 4 channel RCA's to feed the amps, not all head units have these, mine doesn't. I have to use the high output head to speaker wires to feed an amp, so this won't work for me.
Whoever sell the speed wire is mad dude 🤣🤣. that's what I do with a small system,.. I done this before in 2008 and it's so easy to work without mess with all the paneling around the car.. and that's true broo not recommended for a system over 150 RMS per channel,.. great video overall,, view and liked.
Anyone have any info on how to do this with a Toyota Corolla s 2016 I have door sale speakers and two front door and two rear deck wondering how to run this setup
I am watching this after building two 16 foot harnesses for my new amp, one input, and one output. Watching this, I am glad that I did. I just don't like cutting factory wires.
Don’t know why you would do this method over a 9 wire/speed wire method. If you have to run power and signal to the amp anyways why wouldn’t you just run some speed wire along side hour signal wire to the head unit and splice into your harness. Much cleaner and easier
Yes, like I said in my video man this is just a budget build for my daily driver. I have my competition build that I spent over $15,000 in equipment in my Hummer with the best of the best that the industry has to offer. Besides, for the money, these subs are awesome!!!! I am so impressed. And that’s saying a lot coming from me. Wait for my next video to come out as I demo this setup
@@NextLevelCarAudio I swapped it from rca to sub out and it’s way better. I appreciate the feedback. It’s bumping really good. The bass is killer. Now I gotta work on my mids and highs. Mainly mids 👍
Yes, you could use harness. But wanted the least amount of clutter/ harnesses behind the dash. Dont plan to uninstall. Once it’s in, it’s staying there
Because I wanted to clean up the wiring back there without all the unnecessary wires and harnesses. Once it’s in, I ain’t going to be changing it back out
@@NextLevelCarAudio I have a question same way you just did on these video that’s how my uncle wants me to connect my system all my speakers to rear is that a good way to do it ? I have separate amp for voices and for bass
Did not lose bass, and sounded much cleaner to me. With seats down. If you carry people in back stay often and can’t put seats down then leave them Rear facing
