Hey Anthony Enjoying all you videos just recently got a Prado 120 2007 Finding your videos really helpful thanks a lot Went off-road a few weeks back and on the way home a noticed my brake pedal slowly goes to the floor Checked for leaks ,I have bled the brake still doing it Replaced the brake master cylinder removed all the air etc Brake booster all working fine Clamped off each calliper at a time and retested brake pedal Have bled the brakes with engine running No joy any ideas or tips to help me out Much appreciated Spence
Thanks Anthony. I have an interest in speed cameras and found your video and the comments by others interesting. There's no operational fixed speed cameras on the Calder Hwy. One (each side of road) is being set up on the Calder for technology testing purposes for two years, then who knows. I've videoed most of the cameras in Victoria (uploaded to RU-vid) and have a site covering most of the fixed cameras across Australia (link in my profile if interested). Those cameras as mentioned by others are truck monitoring cameras. In terms of speed I think they can only really act as point-to-point cameras but I could be wrong.
These camera cars have the ability to catch speeding vehicles in both directions, not sure if possible on a divided highway like that but definitely on a road with a single lane in each direction. There are also point to point cameras on roads such as the Hume Highway starting at the Hume Freeway (Craigieburn Bypass) at the O'Hearns Rd overpass all the way up the Hume to Broadford( At approximately 6 to 8 places over that distance, so multiple chances to be fined). These cameras measure the time taken to cover the exact known distance between the cameras to calculate your average speed over that distance. Average speed too high and you make the unwanted Christmas card list. Then of course we have the laser mounted radars on Highway patrol cars the can monitor multiple lanes of traffic and up to six cars at a time and if they have a clear line of sight can lock on to a vehicle up to 1km away. Overhead cameras mentioned I don't know, but one for each lane means I personally wouldn't trust them. Traffic cameras used by VicRoads to monitor traffic volumes and congestion are usually single cameras mounted on a pole on the L.H.S. of the road.
mate do you know the range of these cameras, I was speeding almost 100 meters before the camera van which I slowed down immediately , but still not he got me or not
I am not a speeder in my Hilux but I was a loony tune on my motorbike, bikes are now all gone, BMW 1150GS & an RT. I had a radar detector on the bike, it is interchangeable, in to the hilux, (where it now stays) it is mounted and runs of the cig 12v socket. It’s good for cop cars and camera cars, warns me before you see any other vehicle, depending on the terrain, in a flat area 5km warning if there is a radar operating in flat or rolling country. Paid for its self on the bikes, just handy in the Hilux. Well worth the cost but I don’t condon speeding. Just saying.
In Canberra, the speed limit at a fixed speed camera in a 60kl/h zone was reduced to 40kl/h. In 2 days, the local government pulled in almost 3mill off that single camera.
Just revenue raising !!!! It’s the signs that are the life saving tool - the idea was meant to slow drivers Down in black spots and check their speed Cameras with no sign , doesn’t slow the driver down - the danger continues as the driver continues
They call hose mobile shits 'road safety cameras' because you get a fine weeks later, (sarcasm intended) The overhead ones need to be advertised if they're average speed/point to point cameras , that one might be height activated for trucks or mobile phone related as someone mentioned below.
@@mickwolf1077 They're for traffic monitoring at the traffic control centre. They use them to monitor so they can dispatch things like tow trucks for broken down vehicles, clean up crews for debris on the road, lane controls/speed limit signage/warning messages on overhead signs, things of that nature.
If the cameras are in the rear, I believe they can't get the motorbikes as long as the riders reduce to normal speed when they pass the mobil cameras, because bikes don't have the plates in the front.
In NSW they use these. Funny thing to watch when drivers get to areas where it is impossible to park at the side of the road. Speed goes from 80 to 100 for almost everybody. The other thing to watch is unmarked police cars. They like 10 year old holden utes. I saw a crystler a few times recently. They always give themselves away with the out of place antenna. Still, I always see poor suckers pulled over.
@IronWithinIronWithout they have forward facing camera for footage too. Apparently if you're sneaky enough to cover the plate, cops will try identify you via bike, helmet and jacket.
One day I found myself traveling in a 60 zone with all the other traffic like a sheep, I saw the camera head approximately 100 m it had a clear view to me and I looked at my speedo it was on about 75 km an hour I tap the brakes a few times got down to 65 on my speedo within about 50 m that was over a month ago I thought they got me that time there was similar times where this is happened I do find it quite easily to make the mistake of speeding a little bit But I haven’t had a speeding ticket in over a decade as far as I can remember So happy days
@@Fourby4Diesel thanks for the video and replys mate, i did the same thing today, tapped the brakes till i was under, same distances. Do you think it gets you instantly or it takes a second or 2? Also did it happen before 2019? Because they had different cameras then. Im just hoping i dont get a nice Christmas present in the mail from them
Oh I see well what actually happened officer I’ve been suffering from hay fever quite a lot and right at that time my eyes were watering and I couldn’t see so I stopped to be safe you could call in an emergency but I think we avoid the emergency me running off the road into a speed camera car because I can’t see 😂😂😂
@@Fourby4Diesel Swear he’s not a dibba-dobba-rules-nerd.. Corey’s that all-round blast at parties 🎉 Don’t stress this is just one of his ‘lit’ statements. 😂
Pretty sure the camera car doesn't have an emergency issue either, so why is he creating a hazardous distraction in a high speed zone ? Onya Corey, cheers on the heads up 👍
@@Fourby4Diesel lucky that cop that went by didn't see you with your phone/camera in hand with keys still in the ignition. That can get you a $1000 fine and 5 points, I think, even stopped on the side of the road here in Queensland.
At what point does anyone say or is there any evidence of me having my phone in my hand all the keys being in the ignition It is my belief if you are pulled over to the side of the road in park you are allowed to use your phone which I was not touching it anyway why do people have to comment with this kind of garbage in accurate information never ceases to amaze me really
