Thanks man! But, is it possible save the MIDI map? because when I change a midi map to specific instrument (bass for example), and I quit then, and go back again, I lost the midi map's setup for this instrument, so I have to setup all the time....help please..tks
WOW!!!! COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABLETON, GOOD. Subscribed. Thank you. This is what I needed and it is amazing to be able to add knobs to Ableton controlling knobs in a VST. Awesome. This is beyond expectations. I have had shitty equipment for decades and now I have a real audio/midi interface, the behringer UMC404HD and that, and my UC33e, and Ableton Live Lite, ... I am in business again.
can i save the mapping on real hardware? i have a akai mpd218 and when i map my knobs on on options like "Attack" "Decay" and group them + save the instrument rack, everytime i open it again it does not save the mapping and i have to map it again
@@cavineetvashisht8402 this is a good video, except that you can only map eight parameters at the time. I wish we could map an entire synth to the BCR and be able to recall it every time...
2022, Ableton 11. They still didn't make that simple obvious extremely irritating thing work. I connected my old Korg Nanokontrol and started using it to easy tweak ampsim params on guitar tracks. Works like charm - but when I finished my great the-ultimate-guitar-mapping and wanted to apply it to all/some of my projects, It came out it's impossible, you can't just copy that. You must remap all that again and again for each one fkin project. Because, I don't know, maybe buying new midi gear and mapping around is not something everybody does constantly in Ableton. Nobody needs his old fkin mapping in old songs, who needs old songs, just shut up and make a brand new project.... I really don't have any enough-offending words to address any comment to the authors (It's not the first time, Ableton, when you dissapoint me with obvious things that should just be there and work for years, but they're not. Like ghost clips / referenced clips.... God why. Most daws has some solution for that, and Ableton just... is not much into solutions)
It's crazy that I can see the presets on a certain VST from within Live but I can't access then from the Push without manually saving every last preset as a instrument rack.. :-/
Hey! Thanx for this useful video! But it doesn't work for me: with your tip I saved the rack with my parameters mapping and recalled it, the parameters are still here but now my knobs don't control them but the macro...? My controller is an axiom 61. Any idea of what is going on??
@@let9o42 Please let me know what exactly you mean by this! I have mappings to several VSTs and AUs I want to save with the mappings intact... where should the little hand be??
Brooo, this was a great little hack!!!!! Yea it’s not the perfect way, but man i will try this later !!! Think this might be a good resolution.. i have a console 1, that i would like to use my 3rd party plugins with! This might do the trick. Thanks again
But, it's not working for me... I mapped some controls to ma maschine and when i load that instrument rack in the other project, mappings are visible in instrument rack but not working with maschine.... do you know where is the problem?
Found this video on remotify.io, supposed to show you how to save MIDI mappings, instead this is a useless video that shows you how to map parameters (what's the point if you can't save MIDI controlers to them?) but not how to keep the MIDI CC assignments... this was in 2011 still no improvement 9 years later.
@@voicedrifter I'm not comparing anything. Your title says SAVE YOUR PARAMETERS MAPPINGS, and like most comments I 'm just saying that you're not showing how to save them. Simply because it's impossible in Live unless you use a template, which is pretty useless.
