i think that happens when you go fast through the dialogue (this is going off of nothing other than the video though, and the fact that i saw december in my playthrough when i was reading more slowly

It makes sense because. When you’re dealing cards, it’s always annoying to get the rules card, and it’s almost always taken out. Just like how nobody wants rouxls with them and he’s always kicked out or left behind
His money troubles would have been over if he farmed TP and had made the silver cards at the start of the game. Also the fact that he didn’t use his previous save file to start chapter 2 left him in the dark with dialogue opportunities... but to be fair to jack, i only found this out through his playthroughs and used his run as data

This card has no purpose in playing card games and is often discarded from decks". That's why you always defeat him without much trouble (since he's just a "useless" card).
But he have the ability to makes his own rules and bend other rules to his will. He is not a card to play with but rather the one that dictate how the other card plays. I think that is neat for a character.

Aw, kinda bummed that he didn't seem to get the "college summer vacation when" thing. For anyone else who didn't get catch on, Deltarune's Asriel has been off to college, at least from what all the other characters have been saying. Kris misses him and wanted to know when he could come back. That part made me stop playing for a second - I almost felt an emotion. I've been dead inside for a while, so that's saying something!
Also, he went so fast in the dialogue that no one gets to see the full animation for the spelling competition in which Berdly beat Noelle with the word “December”. Noelle’s sister’s name. Noelle was saddened and couldn’t spell it out

They want to fit in with the monsters... That and the fact their side of their room is empty, they've been living in the shadow of their brother's success... The more the story advances, the more I feel awful for Kris
It's because kris can't use magic (you can see in the dark world that kris has 0 magic). But I think it's funny that there's an armor in the game that makes kris have 1 magic.

Huge rant incoming because I get emotional over video game characters Bro, as a former AIG kid (academically or intellectually gifted- a secondary program for "high potential" children in public school), I actually resonated with berdly this episode a lot more than I did before. "Smart" is so subjective, but it's usually shown to be an innate ability to come up with ideas and solve problems as opposed to a practiced ability to retain information and apply it to new situations- so we never learn to be smart because we think we already are. Never learn to study, to look for our own information, to research. We just wing it because we're smart, and we know we can. Until we hit the plateau. Until everyone else, who had to practice being smart, start getting smarter than us faster- start doing better. I never learned to study until I was in junior year of high school, because I never thought I needed to. And because they tell us smart is something you ARE, not something you DO, we don't even know we can learn. We just think we aren't smart anymore- that overnight, we just became stupid. It's a rude awakening. Its doubly as bad when your "giftedness" comes from a heightened pattern recognition or increased passion for a select few subjects caused by having something like ADHD and Autism, because as you get older, symptoms related to executive dysfunction start showing up more often and more severely for both of those. And since you just never studied or did all the projects the night before on account of being gifted and having the ability to do that, you never learn to cope with those dysfunctions until they're too big to handle on your own. You go from A honor roll to begging your teachers for extra credit just to pass their classes. It's a uniquely terrible experience and I wish we could talk more openly about the failings of the education system, not just for AIG kids but for others as well- actually, most if not all students are mistreated by the school system in a similar way.
being smart is being able to understand things fast, through logic nothing more, nothing less in this game, as in real life (hence why I like the presence of it in this game) people who have extensive knowledge or have the ability to solve complex calculations in their mind are always referred to as "smart" even though neither knowledge nor calculations matter at all towards being smart; in the game this is super clearly shown by berdly (even though some time going a bit off rail with a couple cringey bits, for example "it's a computer bug": why did toby and the team feel the need to add "computer"?) as he realizes how dumb he is by finding out he can't understand many things around his world, even easy puzzles the fact that so many people do that and don't realize it kinda makes me mad, but eh i also am dumb so i should probably just shut up now
Dude I have so much fear where this is concerned. I’m one of those kids who hasn’t really ever had to study or “try” in school. It’s the same with my art. I’ve always been the “art kid” to the kids at school and my family, so I’ve become lazy with actually doing real art studies. I barely ever practice anatomy or perspective or light studies, etc. I just more so doodle and keep to what I’m used to, never leaving my comfort zone. And I feel that it’s ruined my art growth, especially as I’ve gotten older. I’m pretty terrified for when that moment hits me, both academically and artistically, where my “talent” isn’t enough and everything that I thought I was was actually just a lie. I know this situation isn’t exact to one you describe, but I guess I just wanted to vent under this comment about this bird man during my monthly re-watch of Deltarune.
being smart vs stupid is made to be such a big and important thing in school and i cant say i understand it. ive been made to have literal breakdowns every time i see math equations because special education made me feel so stupid for being incapable of solving them. and its like...why?? why does it matter? why is being "smart" so important that literal children hinge their emotional stability and sense of self-worth on it? its so pointless.

He does those voices so well... Not only Berdley, I personally love a lot his Queen version. Lancer is also brilliant! I dunno how Jack does that, but most characters in Undertale and Deltarune sounded in my head while playing the game (bf watching his playthrough) almost identical to what Sean did!
