Man, you are so lucky to have a sister who cares about your obsession for Thomas. This reminds me of when my parents brought me a box of old Thomas toys when I was younger. (Sadly, they were all given away a few years later) Plus, last year, my dad took us to see a college friend and his daughter had lots of Thomas stuff. Happy Birthday, TrainBoy! I would have killed to get a massive haul of Trackmaster and Tomy stuff. You’re just so damn lucky you got all this for your birthday! Kudos to your little sister! I think that you can undo the sun bleaching by putting the plastic pieces in a tub full of hydrogen peroxide, and shining a UV light on it, and then leaving it for about a day or something. That’s what I’ve seen with people who restore retro video-game consoles, idk if it would work for Tomy/Trackmaster toys.
I remember having a wooden Thomas and making him take Annie and Clarabel or Random rolling stock all around my room. And my brother and I used to make the wooden Henry pull long ass freight trains. Man good times 😌
I am honestly on the verge of tears watching this video because I just wish that I can have the joy of opening one of the trains from that range again. I remember the last time I saw the older stuff new in store with zero idea that it would never be new in store again with the TM revolution coming on in. I also remember the day I got a few of the older ones I have/had. I remember I got the old TM Oh the Indignity Gordon from Toys R’ Us along with Skarloey and the Puppet Show Special. I got the Yellow Rheneas for my eighth birthday almost nine years ago along with a TM Percy and Rusty and the Coal Hopper. I got Conner and Caitlin I’m pretty sure that same year. I recently got Donald and Douglas from Fisher Price for my sixteenth birthday and I vaguely remember having a set with James and a short little loop of the old grey track. Oh gosh, now I’m suddenly remembering seeing them at Chapters in the sets with the boxes looking like the ones Bachmann currently uses. I really want to cry from just typing this.

Dude I am so glad none of this ended up in the trash. I never played with the track master stuff but I love old toys. I managed to collect some of the old ertl stuff. That was my childhood and I'm glad I found some in box ones.

I think I recognize those yellow crates, they're actually GeoTrax cargo loads! If the wagons are anything to go off of as well, looks like the original owner had some Geotrax as well as Plarail.

I got a Ben brand new for my 11th birthday given to me From my great grandmother. he came with the quarry car and was the first tomy engine i ever owned. It brought back memories seeing yours still in the box. This whole video was so nostalgic.
If you get enough spare Annies and Clarabels, you could keep one of each and repaint the spares to look like some of the other branchline coaches from throughout the series. Like the dark red ones from the great western branch, or the old green and cream ones from season 1, or even do some real life liveries from the southern railway. The potential for customization is almost endless.

Ok I might be late but if you haven't cleaned diesel ten yet. There is a way that might work to save him. If you clean the contacts you can rough them up using 80 grit sand paper to get them working. It work for mine.
This was such a nostalgia trip like holy shit, throughout the video I was just gasping at the sets and trains I still have and just remembering how I got them, I like to point out those prices because that is just insane. Looks like you got some pretty good stuff here! The Talk N Action Thomas you got seems to be the American version, hit toys basically made every road character under the sun when they had the license... in America and Canada... so getting what you got is pretty awesome, flip face Toby is a definite win so here's hoping you can get it to work! Also the amount of boxed stuff is just insane, having a trackmaster area similar to that of Muddy Poppins' is a great idea! Hope you go forward with it! Can't wait to see what comes of this! P.S The dates on the underside of the engines don't usually have the correct years on them, for example, most Thomas' will say 1992 or 2002 when in reality they come from much later down the line, just a heads up if you didn't already know!

What if, the childish Rosie we see in T&F is an alternative personality, one she leaches on too, to not remember the traumatic experience of WW2. She hides behind this personality to disassociate herself with seeing Her brothers and sisters die.
