Hi Posh. Thanks for the Video. What's the best advice to split the money? Is it advisable to do 50% Cash in -50% top 40 shares?

Hi 🙋🏾‍♀️ Not Posh, but maybe I can help. I think 25% cash and 75% top 40. We have to remember that the money we save on stash falls under our Tax Free Savings Allowance (TFSA) which caps you at R36 000 annually (R500 000 lifetime) and charges you a percentage if you exceed the annual allowance. So you want to get the most on your savings/ investment. If you have more money on the stock market (top 40), when the market grows, your money grows, if there is a decline in the market so does your money. With that being said, you can never lose money in the market it’s all about timing. If you withdraw your money while the market is down, yes you will lose money, but if you wait a few weeks/ months it will eventually go up again and you can withdraw the exact amount you put in, or with a profit. Pro tip: Don’t withdraw, let your money accumulate value over time.

I was also quite skeptical at first, but after watching a few reviews and being on the app for 3 months I feel it is quite an interesting app. I suggest at first choose one way of saving, then add on another after getting a gist of how this work. Eg. Only the 10c challenge first, then the following month maybe the load shedding option, just to ease into the app. I recommend the stashing that R10 (or more if you’d like) daily, it makes a positive difference 😊.
