Age-related macular degeneration or AMD is an eye condition that affects millions of people around the world. In the UK, it is the biggest cause of sight loss. At King's College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital, scientists are developing a new treatment that could help people to see again by implanting stem cell patches into their retinas. A trial has already been successfully tested on two patients, both of whom went from not being able to read at all, even with glasses, to reading 60-80 words per minute with normal reading glasses.

Try calling a stemcell clinic outside the us, there is a stemcell specailist with a clinic in California, she has a channel, look up joy Kong MD, ask her

Most likely not, CRISPER would have, I watched mother go blind, now its my turn, if you suffer with Glaucoma best wishes and hopes to you enjoy everything you can see Glaucoma can not remove the memories as mother always said.

Would Stem Cells be able to help with a Central Scotoma caused by solar retinopathy? I have a small blind spot right in the middle of my eye. Im assuming the same cells that are replaced and healed with patients that have AMD, RP, etc... Are the same cells that go bad during solar retinopathy?

Will this treatment be used for vision loss due to advanced glaucoma? I am a patient at Moorfields Eye hospital, have been for over 30 years. When will this be available at Moorfields. It is currently January 2024

Left eye no peripheral 20% vidion but blurred. Im using 450rrading glass and right zero vision.

Don't get excited. In the end, maybe again big pie in the sky. If drusen can't be excreted to surface of cornea, it's impossible to effectively treat and reverse AMD (age-related macular degeneration), dry as well as wet.
