This LP was unexpectedly entertaining. As I said before considering BotW is so "Open world" I felt it wouldn't have been an all right LP but damn, this REALLY proved me wrong. This LP has certainly become one of my favorites among this channel. It really goes to show that Nico can make anything entertaining *cough cough Paper Mario cough cough* . That being said, I really hope you play Ocarina of Time as your next Zelda game. Seeing the other titles as LPs would be really great!! But alas, now is not the time. So you're doing Ni No Kuni 2 and Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. I can't deny that this is probably the best decision in games to play now.

Dark Beast Ganon might be incredibly easy but this games final boss theme is my favourite in the entire series. Especially the piano. The piano in this piece is genius. The piano in this game has always represented life and livelyness as well as the Ancient Shiekah's will and Technology, but for most of the game out in the wild it's felt muted and minimalistic. This is because the world is practically dead and devoid of life. The piano only ever picks up when you're doing something that harkens back to more peaceful days, like when you're riding a horse or regaining a memory, or when you encounter an ancient Enemy but for the most part it's very muted. But in contrast, in this theme the Piano is going apeshit. Your hit with a barrage of exited highkey notes, indicating that you're extremely close to restoring life to the world and fulfilling the will of the Ancient Shiekah. Of course the piano would be going crazy you've reached the climax and are this close to fixing everything. Also notice how the piano is only playing during the parts with the main theme, but is entirely silent during the Ganon section? That's exactly why. If Ganon prevails life and hope will die, but if you win it'll flourish and bloom all of the world just like the silent princesses in the ending. Absolute Masterpiece.

I'd seriously recommend LPing Kid Icarus Uprising, the characters are super enjoyable, the fourth wall is in shambles, and its not a very long game either. Not to mention that beautiful music too. Just me throwing some love to one of my favorite games.

Xenoblade Chronicles or Mother 3 next is still my picks for a next potential LP, I definitely think you'll really enjoy them both, and since you finished BotW Xenoblade would be a lot better since you wouldn't have to juggle two huge games at the same time

honestly (for me anyway im sure there are some people who would complain) the fact that you upload even once every other day is amazing, even for a letsplayer due to the quality of your videos. working on more side projects like the council of voices or other things you might want to do would definatly be doable. this type of upload schedual is extreemly enjoyable. it also seems exausting the way that you upload, and i dont think anyone would want you to get bored or even frustrated with your profesion so a little rest time is definatly a good thing for you.

Quick rundown of other Zelda games now that the door for future LPs has been smashed wide open: There are 18 mainline Zelda games counting BotW and all of them are in the running for the title of masterpiece in some form or another. The "Big Games" that everyone remembers are in general the 3D ones; the 2D titles tend to be either less well-known or often played. As for the 3D games, Ocarina of Time is the big one. The first 3D title and in my honest opinion the closest to a perfect game the series has produced (although my metrics for deciding this will be different from others'), it's both the standard to which every other game in the series is inevitably compared and the lynchpin that binds the entire series lore together; its story pervades that of just about every other game in the series and it is referenced more than just about any other. Certainly from both a lore and mechanical perspective it's the one to start with; some aspects may seem somewhat dated, though. Unfortunately, you have the unenviable task of choosing between the N64 original or the 3DS remake. The 3DS made tons of quality-of-life and graphical updates and most consider it the best version; however, there is one hideous, glaring problem that stops me recommending it. The Final Boss of Ocarina of Time is one of the most atmospheric and climactic fights in gaming and unfortunately the remake, in its desire to update the graphics of the fight, completely removed the atmosphere by radically overhauling the lighting. So I cannot really in good conscience recommend the updated version. YMMV, obviously. Majora's Mask is the second 3D Zelda and borrows most of the assets from Ocarina of Time, and is set immediately after the events of that game. As such, it's recommended to play it after Ocarina of Time, not just for plot reasons but also because the two games are like two sides of a single entity. If Ocarina of Time is a model for Action-Adventure RPGs then Majora's Mask is an example of how video games can exploit their medium to become real art; it's one of the most visceral and chilling experiences you can have with a game, in my opinion. It's hard to even put it in the same genre as all other games in the series, but it has to be played to be understood. Again, there's an N64 original and a 3DS re-release but I haven't played the 3DS version so can't comment on their differences. Twilight Princess takes place about a hundred years after Majora's Mask, using the same engine but with better graphics. I can't remember if Nico said that it was or wasn't an option for a Let's Play as he'd played it before. Wind Waker is another distant sequel to Ocarina of Time, and is beloved both for the extent of exploration, the goofiest Link in the series, and the light it shines on Ganondorf's character. There's also Skyward Sword but I'm pretty sure Nico doesn't have a Wii so meh. But yes, if you do do more Zelda games in the future that's the order I'd recommend.

Ok, the one that's a "few days away", I really hope that's Ni No Kuni 2, given that it comes out on Friday, and Nico could do some sort of one-shot video Thursday, and possibly Friday, if Ni No Kuni comes out later in the day and has to be saved for Saturday( tomorrow is CoV, and Tuesday and Wednesday would be the anniversary video and the start of the new LP, which is hopefully Spirit of Justice and very well could be).

Kass doesn't have a shrine quest in Kitano Bay because that's where most players encounter him for the first time. You arrive in Hateno, you get the quest to get the girl's sheep back... and the average person will do some exploring in that area while the strong guys are all cleared out.

This is the first (and probably only) full let’s play I’ve watched someone do in botw to be honest. Probably because after beating the game and figuring out that nico played it (and the fact that he as well barely played many Zelda games)all I could think was “ooo I wanna see his reaction to this person or this quest” I really love nico’s reactions to things and how he can really add to a character with his own shenanigans like the concept of mipha summoning Ganon to get rid of Zelda or whenever he made something danganronpa related into the game it really makes me happy to see this let’s play and there’s still many more to watch.

Congratulations on finishing the LP, Nico! Also, I have a few words of advice regarding the other Zelda games, should you choose to LP them. I strongly recommend you play them in the order they were RELEASED, not their position in the Zelda lore, and it is very important to play Ocarina of Time first. OoT is the lynchpin in the Zelda series. If you don't play that game first, none of the other games will make sense at all, regardless of what order you choose to play them. There is a lot of backstory and world building lore in that game that you don't find in the other Zelda games, so that's my recommendation. That being said, Nico's going to love Skyward Sword.

I've said this before but if you're going to play another Zelda game at any point in the future I'd recommend Ocarina of Time. That game is a very pivotal point in the series as practically every other game takes place after it (it also marks the branch point for Zelda's split timeline). It's also extremely rich with series lore and iconic locations and characters so if you wanted to get introduced to the series as a whole that is a great starting point. I also recommend it over Majora's Mask, not because I think it's a better game, but because Majora's Mask benefits from contrasting off of Ocarina and wouldn't have the same impact without that context. As for other games you can LP, I know you don't want to do anything to grindy so a simple game like Kid Icarus uprising or Professor Layton would probably be good choices. There's also Doki Doki Literature Club which would make an excellent LP and is really short only being about 6 hours long. Of course there's also Phoenix Wright Spirit of Justice but I haven't played that game so I'm a little haphazard about recommending it. Still there's plenty of other Penguins that would want it so I'll mention it anyways. Of course I still maintain my desire for games like Mother 3 and definitely Xenoblade but given you desires I don't expect you to play either next. I just have to keep saying that to make sure nobody forgets.

Hey Nico. Welcome to the Legend of Zelda Fandom. Ocarina of Time is best to understand a tonne of the references that Breath of the Wild made. It's the game where a lot of the LoZ tropes began or became more popular. It is also the most important game in regards to the timeline. Another alternative game is Skyward Sword. It's an origin story and is the first in the timeline. It does a lot of explanation for things we take for granted and explains a lot of the story. It is however a relatively linear game (it bothers some people) and uses motion controls. I think they're implemented well but they are hit or miss for most people. There are so many other masterpieces in the series. Majora's Mask is so dark and metaphorical, Twilight Princess has such a bleak world, Wind Waker is breathtaking and refreshing...but I think to enjoy these games more , the first two will give you a firmer grasp of the world and its story. This LP really was a pleasure to watch and I can't wait for the next Legend of Zelda game you play.

When you play another Zelda, it has to be Ocarina of Time. It’s a legendary game.

I didn't post this last episode because I was busy but. TIME FOR THE LAST ZELDA TRIVIA!!🎉🎉🎉... probably... The Tunic of the Wild is actually based on Link's design in the official art of the original Legend of Zelda. This makes sense as capturing the kind of freedom and non linearity available in the first Zelda was a major focal point of this games development. They even used an 8 bit prototype to test the concepts that would implemented into the game to save time. Theres also a piece of official artwork from breath of the wild that mimics a piece of official art from the first game (the one of link standing on a mountain overlooking hyrule), thats actually what the opening scene of link looking off over a cliff was based of. In terms of design the tunic of the wild actually used to bug me because of how short it is, but it's grown on me (it's probably all the time I spent upgrading the damn thing).

This series should tell you now that you can LP different games that you've also never played, and most of us should be completely fine with watching it.

Hey Nico! I have spent several weeks collecting all 900 korok seeds and let me tell you, it was highly tedious for what the reward was, but I mainly did it to prove I could. Looking for all 900 is a great way to see places of the map you might not ever see otherwise! ~Over 200 hours later

There's no need for tips! _And now for my final comment for this series..._ Man... 28 episodes. This series took a little less time than I thought. That being said, it was a _Wild_ ride! ...I'm not sorry... Nico, as always, your commentary adds so much character and fun to the games you play. It's always a joy to see your playthroughs. I'm so glad that you picked up _Breath of the Wild!_ As for your question on what game in _The Legend of Zelda_ franchise you should play next, I actually recommend play _Skyward Sword_ next, as it is the earliest in the timeline (despite it being among the more recent entries). According to Nintendo's official timeline for the series (which is disputed by sections of the fanbase), after _Skyward Sword_ is _The Minish Cap,_ followed by _Four Swords,_ followed by _Ocarina of Time._ I'd continue to list the ordering, but after _Ocarina,_ things get complicated. You should probably look into it yourself. Sections of the LoZ fanbase dispute the official timeline due to the fact that the previous director didn't care too much about continuity, and when the fanbase started asking for a real timeline, actually making a coherent timeline turned out to be a crapshoot. In short, lack of foresight backed them into a corner. That being said, I doubt anybody would blame you for going by the official timeline. FYI, _Breath of the Wild_ isn't listed in the timeline because Nintendo hasn't revealed when it takes place yet. Most fans agree that it is the _furthest_ in the timeline, but considering there happens to be a timeline split at a specific point, there are multiple prevailing hypotheses for which branch of the timeline it is in. Personally, I subscribe to the hypothesis which states that _Breath of the Wild_ is part of a _timeline merge_ since it seems to serve as a soft reboot for the series. My older brother thinks that it disregards the timelines altogether... because it seems to serve as a soft reboot for the series. I guess we'll only know the answer when Nintendo finally decides for themselves. Moving quite along, if there are any other games that I could recommend you to play next, they would be _A Bird Story_ and _Finding Paradise,_ in that order. Why those two? They're the sequel to _To The Moon._ Specifically, _Finding Paradise_ is the actual sequel to _To The Moon,_ while _A Bird Story_ is a one-ish hour long abstract prologue to _Finding Paradise._ This is why I said for you to play _A Bird Story_ first, since it is a prologue to _Finding Paradise._ Yes, I'm repeating myself. I know. I'll shut up about it now. _As always, 'till next time... stay classy!_

To your question at the end, I think from this point onward it's probably best to play the other 3D Zeldas in order of release. The old ones are great, but the more modern ones you play, the more their age will show. Also, I'm probably in the minority on this one, but while I think OoT 3D is fine, I consider Majora's Mask 3D an act of vandalism.

I've been meaning to say this for a few episodes now, though I never saw anyone else talk about it. The divine beasts were all named after sages from past games. Vah Ruta was named after Princess Ruto, a Zora who was the sage of water. Vah Rudania is an anagram of Darunia, a Goron who was the sage of fire. Vah Naboris was named after Nabooru, a Gerudo who was the sage of spirit. Vah Medoh was likely named after Medli, a Rito who was the sage of earth. Ruto, Darunia, and Nabooru were all in Ocarina of Time while Medli was in the Wind Waker. The Wind Waker is also the only other main Zelda game where the Rito can be found.

Well, it was a fun journey. Thanks for giving this game a try Nico, and taking the extra mile of uploading it in 1080p. And also for that smooth editing. Onwards to the next LP!

Hey Nico, I just want to say your videos are the main reason I'm starting my first official Let's Play of Horizon Zero Dawn. I really hope I can have just as much fun with this RU-vid thing as you seem to do with every series you put out.

The final boss. Captain redbeard So much hype. The glide into the boss chamber, champion’s giant laser beams, the sword is ready, ganon’s true form, Zelda’s speech (you may not have gotten all the memories, the powered up master sword, and the motorcycle, but your legendary courage will never be forgotten.) quickly finishing the final phase on motorbike and the final air shot. Yeah, many people love ocarina of time, it’s a great game, it feels strange for me to go back to a older zelda game after all botw did to make it different from the regular Metroid-vania/ 8 dungeon formula it created and improved.

And this journey is over. It seems like Link... No longer has a ways to go. Until next game, then he has A WAAAAAAAAYS TO GO!
