Saving Mr. Banks (2013) - scene comparisons 

Tom Hanks was fantastic as Walt Disney. I'm surprised he wasn't nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

Tom Hanks was brilliant as Walt Disney in this movie. And of course, Emma Thompson was great too.

This movie made me ball my eyes out and taught me some valuable lesson's

Tom Hanks was actually very good as Walt Disney. I wish he had more of an opportunity to play a three-dimensional fully-fleshed Walt Disney (in all of his foibles and inspirations) than the one that was portrayed to us in Saving Mr. Banks.

I heard that surviving members of Disney's staff praised Hanks' portrayal of their late employer.

I am appreciating how they went out of their way to design retro-versions of Disney character costumes.

As soon as I saw the first scene in the movie I exclaimed how smart that was. Having Tom reenact something Walt did on TV verbatum; and a famous clip to boot was genius.

When they showed a scene from the real Mary Poppins, I got all teary eyed cause the last time I saw it in the big screen was in 1973 in Brooklyn New York. I was 10 when I discovered that movie.

I'll always remember Walt Disney and Tinker Bell from the old VHS tap of the behind of scene of Peter Pan.

My favourite character in the film was the driver who also plays Chuck Rhodes in billions. Such a great actor

You know, it's interesting watching this. In the film opening scene, the ushers are dressed similar to Mr. Rogers. How funny Hanks would later play him.

If you look closely at Tinker Bell 0:16 there is a difference between her animation then and now.

The Snow White at the premiere scene was actually a Disney park cast member. She can be seen in a video with Andrew Ducote aka Spieling Peter where they tell a story.

This one scene had me remembering when I saw Peter Pan for the first time, it actually had that exact intro. I remember thinking “Is he talking to me?” It made me feel special. This is to the author of this film, Thank you for the wonderful memories. 🙏 ❤ I loved Mary Poppins, and Peter Pan. Now about this film, Thank you, I had no idea that the writer used her own name in the books. Or that Mary Poppins was based on a real prison.

Tom Hanks was a brilliant Walt Disney, but he felt a little bit stilted. Almost like he was taking Walt classes instead of playing Walt. From the interviews I've seen, Tom Hanks has a lot more personal pizazz than Walt Disney, I think he may have been directed to reign it in just a little too much. Aping Disney's idiolect so closely could also have been the tipping point.

I believe in God, Life and beautiful wonder. My grandparents gave me everything my parents could not. What I owe my Baw and Ga can never be repaid. I just hope I have given others the same belief in the Universal that my Baw who was in the Buldge, gave me. Love, Irving Jawbarrkowitz.

First The Shoulders, Tom Hanks wiped the wrong sleeve, Walt didn't touch his Lapels, Tom was to fast, And it was a Full body shot of Walt Disney. + they should've just recycled the Tinkerbell footage, and used the actual awards. And Tom Flubbed the final line. Julie and Dick are on the wrong side in Saving Mr. Banks. Julie Andrews has short hair, because she hated The Mary Poppins wig. I guess they went for the Mickey Escort for liberties taken., They thought it'd look better than what actually happened.
