As LaLande’s foremost chicken xylophone expert, you need to take a black sharpie and draw solid black circles on the keys. Or draw some bugs. But simple solid black circles work well- the chickens think they’re insects and start pecking on them.

Just finished watching and I have to sit down. So much material and each piece a nugget. Firstly , the portrait of you at two years old just popped off the wall.. Cuteness itself. Mysteries covered on the couch and copper chair are remedied with hooks. Houseful of wonderful guests and car enthusiast visitors make Lalande a go to spot for rest and enjoyment .Although the rooster was dangerously to the stove in the kitchen for his own good. Amuery looks exhausted right now. I know he is creating magic in the grand salon but may be over whelmed by the "LaLande Effect" and long for quiet times..Its okay to take a little time for your self in order to hear the thoughts in your own head. Just so glad you are you.. Brooding hen and performing chicks, sheep for shearing ,clematis flowering ,onions ripening. Time for Dinner. Cushions stuffed and robes hung , dinner is enjoyed with friends , good food and laughter. Magic. All good here. Now I'm off to Bordeaux and Ville Nave and see how Edd and Anna are doing. Such a busy French Sunday.!!

Well, it looks as if the relationship is saved! 🤪😂 The oldtimers gave the chateau a Downton Abbey vibe for a moment, lovely! The yellow Jeep was my favorite too. Because yellow is my fav color and I drive an oldtimer Jeep myself. 😁 Thank you so much for all the joy!! 🤩💝🤩 Now maybe I can find the priority-time and courage to fix the mess in our bedroom. I can’t blaim my husband, it’s all me… 🙈

LaLande is coming to life again and so wonderful. I'm in the process of moving to a sweet little house that is going to be my little country cottage. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was written in 1806...interesting how many songs we still still after hundreds and hundreds of years later. It's also fun to learn when familiar Christmas songs that are staples were written...some in the 16th century.

The paper bag is a very special design by by Finnish sculptor and designer Tapio Wirkkala. It was originally designed in the 50s or 60s, i I think. I have one of the originals. It is a large brown bag, and looks just like a paper bag. Flowers look great in it! He’s also known for a gorgeous pattern called Ultima Thule for Iittala…. a pattern that would work well with so much of what you have already (a modern juxtaposed moment for sure). Anyway, I love you guys. Been watching from the beginning, and it’s a delight watching you all grow, expand, and even fall in love ❤️ Tom

The courtyard looks great! The espaliered trees look amazing. They grew so fast! Do you'll have any plans for the front entrance to make it grander from the outside? Make it stand out from the other doors and match it up to how gorgeous the courtyard looks.

As a kid I found my grandmothers porcelain eggs for brooding and it took me ages to break them all. The things we do as kids. It was about the same time as we began to eat the neighbours strawberries so he got angry and told us that he knew how many ripe ones there were so he would watch out; We in turn ate all the unripe ones and did we have a sore tummy ! Yup !

Yes - the hens have started a clutch. They will keep laying underneath her until she has about 20 eggs. You'll need to mark the ones you want to hatch, so you can remove the ones you want to eat each day. But if they've been laying under her, she is definitely broody. Silkies make WONDERFUL mamas.
