No matter what happens to them in the future, or whatever or whoever their child ends up becoming... nothing will ever change the fact that they will always love and care for her. Even if they are no longer their to provide that love. If Yui died or disappeared again, then they would feel like their lives are over (which is something that actually happens in the latest LN arc of the franchise)
In the end I understood why Yui did all of this, she missed her mom and dad who died and moved onto the afterlife or were reincarnated and wanted to join them. This was a good ending I believe
"My attachment to my children cannot be described as an emotion. They are a part of my identity, and I am....incomplete without them."- Star Trek Voyager This quote from star trek is really reminds me of the situation between Yui and her parents. While they may not be blood related, their daughter is like a part of their identity and they aren't complete as a family without her presence.
Honestly, when it comes to SAO, I couldn't care less for the battles, the power-ups, the bosses or even all the way the plot became confusing... all I care about is watching Kirito and Asuna's love who brought them their beloved Yui. Watching them being the cutest anime family I've ever seen is all I need :)
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea on what Kirito and Asuna would do if someone downright insulted Yui in front of them? It’s just that this video shows how much they care for their daughter and I was just wondering.
Then they would have a very short life. Asuna and Kirito are VERY protective of Yui. Just watch the Sword Art Offline mini episodes, you will get an idea of what happens if someone badmouths their daughter. Yui is their greatest treasure, and the only thing they care for more than themselves or each other. The latest LN arc (Unital Ring) shows what happens if Yui suddenly disappeared again in front of them, and they don't take it well at all...
By the end of SAO, Kawahara better bring Yui to the real world! He already did that for Alice, so it can be done for Yui too! She totally deserves to live with her parents full time.
Wait...if kirito and asuna log out in vr game for good...and..that day... Yui will have a new siblings?!! And kirito and asuna married!!! Aahhhhhh I being waiting for this for long time!!! But still...it hurts to see how much lonely and sadness to Yui but...one more thing it make me think it didn't make sense... If yui have a new siblings then where are them?
Based on all the evidence presented, Yui is their only child. And likely always will be. The end of the Alicization arc and the beginning of the next one (Unital Ring) shows that Kirito and Asuna have no other children even after being together for 200 years in the UW. The very reason for that is Yui herself. If Kirito and Asuna ever did decide to have another child, they aren't going to do it without Yui being there to share it together with them. That's how much they care for her, if they can't do something together as a family....then they aren't going to bother doing it at all.
@@SageMagnus I just saw this video. But I wouldn't make an assumption that they wouldn't have other children based off what they did in Underworld. They were still virtual there and the fate of the fluctlights was not guaranteed to be safe. And there's a very good chance that they have another daughter...one who likes to wear black and dual wield.
Likely dead since this finale is set 1000 years in the future. That's like 30-40+ generations (assuming each generation is 25-30 years apart) that their bloodline would have to survive through and it very well could have perished by then. Yui's only surviving Sibling is Strea since she's also an ai.
Its about a future version of Asuna and Kirito's daughter Yui traveling back thru time in order to find a way to erase herself from history. But in order to accomplish this goal she needed to borrow a power from another system from a different point in time, which led to the worlds of ALO and Brain Burst to connect and merge with each other. Future Yui uses this to her advantage in order to overpower the cardinal system so she can erase her past self from existence, since she cannot end her own life by her own hands or by anyone else's The reason she is doing all this is because she can no longer go on because Asuna and Kirito are both long deceased, and there is no longer anyone else to provide her with love, affection and guidance. And Yui wanted nothing more than to be with her parents forever, so the only possible course she could consider is to overwrite and wipe herself from history so she doesn't have to spend eternity all alone, she'd rather end her own life and join her parents again in the great beyond. Though this would also have the affect of wiping Yui out forever, which mean Asuna and Kirito would never see their past daughter again. Its the most tragic course of events in the entire SAO franchise. Its makes what happened in the episode Yui's Heart in the anime look like nothing by comparison. She's just a lonely girl who loved ones were taken from her and she can't join them. If you want a comparison, its like the plot of the anime Sunday Without God. As the main female lead loses both her parents, and realizes that she will never get to see either of them again due to the unique nature of her existence.
@@SageMagnus Remember STL copy machine that used to copy fluctlight? I think to avoid paradox, kirito is making time loop in the future So the history will be looped and doesn't cause paradox How kirito fix the paradox(there's two endings in here) 1. Kirito copy one of yui's ai using STL(i don't know it'll be work or not), then send one yui's ai to the past to let this history happening And one yui that's still alive, even kirito and asuna is gone, but still yui got brother/sister in the future(still a theory) *(the good ending)* 2. If this not working past yui will stuck in an endless loop *(future yui will time travel again and emerge with past yui that will erase all of her memory)* and that's the ending of yui herself, after that erased yui will back to the past again and emerge with past yui *(erased yui=future yui* ,after kirito and asuna died) and so it's looped forever *_(the loop ending)_* Which one did you prefer? extra note:remember, this all is just a theory
T Longe no, Accel world takes place after SAO. Don’t know how many years after. If you watch the Accel World anime, there’s a scene where you can see the old NERV Gear helmet
The ending is REALLY shit !!!! They didn't solve the problem at all !!! One day , kirito and asuna still gonna die , and yui still gonna suffer pain and go back to the past and redo everything again and again It's like an endless loop ! How many times does yui have to suffer !?
Yeah, like if they could in the first place! Kirito and Asuna are "mortals", they WILL die. That is not the case of Yui who is "immortal". They can't change that future. The only way would be to erase Yui and they will never be able to do it! And besides, do you know of the "causality" in time theory? They can't change the future if they know it. So yeah, even if the ending is "shit", like you said, it is realistic. I prefer an ending like that to an ending unrealistic where they will find a way to change the future. It makes everything dramatic.
@@getsugatensho7465 I get it now. You are also a dumb "fan" of SAO You watch SAO just for satisfaction and characters, and doesn't care about the logic at all. I have seen too many idiots like you.
@@getsugatensho7465 You keep ignoring its bad writing and making excuse for REKI That's not how a "fan" is. You are not a fan to SAO, you are just an idiot
Your only child is trying to wreck history in order to end her own life. In case like that, what more do you think you could do to stop her that wouldn't make you seem like bad parents? Kirito and Asuna are only human, and their daughter has been without them for over a 1000 years. You should really cut them slack, their not perfect and they are trying there best to understand the situation they are so they can save their only child. Do you think you could solve a problem like that without making it seem like your a bad parent? If so, then congrats.
Not to mention in-universe human life limitations that around 150 years that limited by software (soul) and memory (brain capacity) limitations (can be extended indefinitely by regular memory erasing every century, but it means everything that erased gone forever, not to mention very high danger when literally single mistake on process will literally erase your soul out of existence).
