Zenos dont want position Zenos only want to fight mano-a-mano alone and leave bystander alone Zenos come to your side when you alone Zenos ask for your permission before fighting you Be like zenos
@@ettibbet5493 Emet-selch destroyed x out of 7 worlds or had part in it, but somehow he is forgiven because he did it for good. Zeno is 100% right only you decide what is morally right or wrong.
We have all of islibard still in flames of civil war a whole continent still under the clouds not to mention the rest of the world and everything outside it and the reflections and they already have 10 years of story written it’s AMAZING AND I CANT WAIT
Was so worth to stay awake till late night hours in EU to watch you experiencing this on livestream Savix! And so glad & happy you found a game with epic story & characters where you're having so much fun! 10/10 best game of the year definitely. Merry Christmas from Germany and all the Best Wishes to ya mah Asian Bro🔥 ❤️
You forgot a big one, but it's forgivable considering you mostly just focused on the MSQ and did Normals. But... GAMEPLAY 10/10 Go do the fucking Savage Raids and Extreme Trials, Savix. People don't understand/realize how much better raiding is in FFXIV than it is in WoW _until_ they've done Savage Raiding. It doesn't just make the fights you've already experienced "harder," they are _completely different fights_ with completely different mechanics, phases, rewards, and sometimes even bosses (for example, Exdeath becomes Neo-Exdeath and so on). There's a reason FFXIV has probably the healthiest endgame raiding scene in MMORPGs right now. You also haven't experienced any of the other amazing endgame content, like Hunt Trains, S-Ranks, World FATEs, the new Pandaemonium raids, etc. etc.
37:30 not fighting Zenos is the worst thing you could do to Zenos. By agreeing to his challenge you literally fulfilled his biggest and sole wish he had.
@@nararanaraiii2022 yes great observation. Also because before this in the entire expansion, he was the only one to answer the question given by hermes on the reason on living. Yet, In the end, its left open whether he found his or not.
@@lostvayne9146 Not true. Before the question was even asked, in camp broken glass, the ala mhigan Roe who gave the hot drink to Jullus said that it is the little things that makes life worth living. And I think that answer delivered by someone who isn't even a main character is the best one in the entire expansion.
Man finally someone who appreciates zenos! There are so many other streamers that just whine about the guy! He’s the best character in the game for me easy
YES!! You picked the right answer with Zenos. The 2nd option he just says "so you wish to stay the hero" saying you still small, and the third option he says "so you finally want to kill me" meaning your as bloodthirsty as he was. The first option is recognizing you two are the opposite of a coin, rivals, etc etc. The best option :D Also he isn't dead. His body doesn't disappear. So they leave the door open for him. Now think. He gorge on the mothercrystal to get to you.... he is in a place with UNIVERSAL LEVELS of ether. A literal star of energy. What do you think he can do with that? Plus he died before and didn't really die but you can. People theorize that Zenos used dynamis to make that teleporter come to you to get you to safety as you would have died and Zenos was too spent to be able anything to do to stop it.
The way I see it is Zenos is sort of a representation of the devs/the players. He talks about the banality of reality, how he never understood people's motivations in life - but that for those fleeting moments he feels truly alive. I think that's an allegory to the way video games can make us feel... for those fleeting moments, there is a light, blinding in its brilliance, and a meaning. All he's doing is chasing the next hit of that, he doesn't have the same motivations as everyone else. I relate to that at least and I bet there are many who do. But in the end Zenos can't find, uh... completion, any other way, and ends up sacrificing his life on that altar. He does ask the WoL what they will go on to do, maybe wondering about his own chosen course deep down inside... but in the end only the player, with the desire to return home - and live for other things - can continue.
may someone explain where this stupid transport card came from? we were somewhere in mateions realm without the other scions, so they could not know where we were. they had no zenos they could fly on to bring it to us i guess, so it makes no sense to me?! was it zenos last wish??
Ugh more of ffxiv when will you finally come back to wow? Not this trashy weeb gacha game... a real game with story and depth... A game with good gameplay? Glad i skipped this game!
Savix is lovely but i had to stop watching his endwalker msq streams, his pvp brain forgot about some lore, a few characters, plot points, shadowbringers stuff, it was so painful considering remembering is very important for the story lol
If the person itself enjoy playing it, why force it? Story is about reacting to the very moment that shown in front of you, not about knowing every single detail in the past/present.
Holy fuck i laughed hard at this comment, went and completely forgot about it, then i scrolled down saw it again and laughed like it was my first time seeing it!
I used to hate him. He was so one-dimensional and I always find the whole, "violent and evil for the sake of it" types of villains to be dull (I blame the fact I've consumed too much media over the years and I just fell out of love with the trope), but it didn't take log for me to love him. He's pretty up there on my list of favorite antagonists.
I enjoy memeing on how bad of a boyfriend he is but i wish we could have had the choice to fight him postgame instead of at endgame. Sorta like sephiroth in KH.
I still remember Savix when he started his journey complaining about the long ass dilaogues he had to read and the crazy words he had to understand. Now hes so into the story and enjoying the game so much. 😂😂😂
I had some troubles too when I started. Usually in MMOs there’s hardly any focus on the RP part. I usually take my time in single player RPG, this game has been a good surprise for me.
@@DarthStalkers > it would be skip as many cutscenes as you want in Realm Reborn What... the actual fuck?!? There are concepts started in ARR that EW ties up. Shadowbringers *starts* to close the book, but EW finishes it. ARR lies the ground work for _everything_ that comes after it.
@@DarthStalkers ARR is actually good. In context with the *rest* of XIV it doesn't hold up and people color their view of it with that future lense. But if it were to be a stand alone game it'd be in the "should play" category. Story wise it's better than many others that get high praise (IMO). The "slog" of getting past ARR is rushing to get to end game content, not enjoying the content in front of you. You know there's better, so you want past ARR and aren't trying to enjoy it for what it is. There are many issues with ARR for sure, but what it sets up is *immensely* important to the rest of XIV. That's my issue. You're saying to skip everything that builds the world. There are payoffs from ARR in patch 5.3 (and further on). It's biggest issue was they built it in 2 years to replace 1.0, and they didn't have a good cadence down yet. I mean fuck, the post patches to get from where 2.0 ended and they needed to be for 3.0 start are painful. But there's a shit ton of lore/world building in those patches that you're saying to skip and major payoff in Endwalker for some of the post-patches that you're saying to just skip over.
I didn't cry when Fourchenault reconsiled with his children, I didn't cry in Ultima Thule, I didn't cry facing Meteion, and I didn't cry as Zenos died. So why did Tataru saying "welcome home" get to me?
Because she was almost always the first one to welcome you back whenever you finished a big quest, no matter where you went or what you did. Seeing her welcome you back just like always FROM THIS? THIS FIGHT? AGAINST THIS THING? Ya... That's gonna hit hard.
That whole bit was a tearjerker. Honestly, Fourchenault in that scene is what did it to me. Like, his entire adult life, working feverishly to escape the apocalypse saving as many as he could, _knowing_ he'd have to leave most to die. Terrified of what it would do to his kids - hell, what _he'd_ have to do to his kids to get them on the damn ship. And... It's over. His kids are safe. The _world_ is safe. Moreover, they're why _he's_ safe. And you don't have to carry that weight any more, ever again. I think I would've collapsed if all that hit me at once.
It's not really about Zenos saying "haha you're a murderhobo just like me all along", it's more like if we shed all these stuff about helping others and saving the world, most people's reason to play the game is just to go on an adventure and have fun. That includes the default backstory of our character, just a nobody who left their home to go on an adventure
@@quanicle101 But the thing Zenos wants you to agree to is that you pursue the same thing he does, a greater challenge and greater satisfaction to fill the void. Thats what I don't agree to for my WoL.
@@Spitzernt That's just not the character I have in my head for my WoL. She does what she does to help, and always has. She originally set out to this adventure in reluctance, because she was immature and only cared about recognition, but as the stakes got greater, she cared more and more about ensuring that all the children she's protected will be able to live to grow up.
i play through endwalker i love it, i play endwalker all day or all evening after work, log out, watch ffxiv content, watch msq react content, log back in to ffxiv... my life belongs to this game
I got trolled by my party when I fought Endsinger. I cried the moment I heard "Light the way"! and when the music kicked in. Kept shedding tears when the "HIGHERRRRRRR" part comes in. Best game Ive ever played my entire life. Gave up my other games becausd of FF14.
Lol. I got trolled too. Someone was like, "Oh crap we should have had another LB3. Use ALL the mitigation!" I'm like, it's cool bro, I'm just happy to be here. We can wipe till the timer runs out but I'm having a blast. Then I saw the cutscene. Whaaaaaa
This is better than shadowbringer. Story is all relatively connected. Elpis being my favorite part. Shadowbringer is only memorable during the tempest part. Elibus arc is only good during the tower part. Endwalker story is memorable all the way through, starting from with Vytra.
@@jackadam9348 I don’t think the tempest part was the only memorable one art, Shadowbringers had so many iconic moments they made us care about every scion in that expansion
@@jackadam9348 I have to hard disagree on the ShB diss of "only tempest is the only memborable part". What about awakening in the First? Or first meeting Vauthry? Or seeing the Sin Eater transform? Or when we first meet the pixies? Titania fight in general? Or Feo Ul's character? Or going to Ratika? There's also the reveal of the Crystal Exarch being Graha'Tia, the Innocence battle, Ammorant, finding out the end of the Ancients, hades fight, the entire warrior ofnlight build up, who the warrior of light is and what their purpose was, and the set up for Endwalker? Don't get me wrong, I prefer Endwalker myself, but its dishonest to pretend that Shadowbringers didn't have more than its fair share of amazing moments.
The thing that hit me hard is that he was speaking not to my character , but to me the player , as if he understood that we wanted to fight incredible enemies but got derailed by our friends.
I don't think Zenos is dead and I feel you should really look into voidsent lore! That shit is very interesting. Considering Zenos voidsent is nothing like any of the avatars the other reapers have. It has great significance and we should pay close attention to that because after all...Zenos represents the mothercrystal along side the scions. I know villains get put in the poster but in this particular one... It's so odd to see Zenos there as if he himself was a scion. We haven't seen the last of him, of that...please be sure of. Don't be to sad about how things ended. There's still many things we don't know of Zenos and his voidsent is among those things. There's a reason Yoshida literally said ''look forward to what happens with Zenos'' Mind you, this isn't the true ending to EW. We have like 2+ years more of lore content. There's something crazy that will be happening with him. But what is the question... I don't know but most certainly it will involve the void.
This IS the end of Endwalker. They've stated that the story is finished in 6.0, not in the patches. Anything that comes in the patches is the start of something new.
@@WarlordPayne The Hydaelyn vs Zodiark saga ended. But Endwalker as an expansion has not. In that sense, I'm saying it isn't the end for the expansion itself. To why I don't deem the Zodiark vs Hydaelyn saga the TRUE ending for the ENTIRE expansion. We are starting a new story within said expansion, so I expect this new story to be the true finisher for the expansion itself. I hope I'm making sense with what I am saying here. I believe the story will focus on the void and other things. Which Ironically, Zenos HAS connection to a void demon of all things.
@@thebloodflower8814 I agree with you. Expansion is not end for sure... Logo is very curious me(because most of logo have meaning or symbolic of something) ARR - WoL HW - Dragoons and Dragon SB - Ending 4.0 scene. ShB - WoD EW - spaceship to death sun? (spaceship look different not sure if that Ragnarok, dead sun look different(not have big hole)) very curious what will happen next.
@@justaman381 You pointed out something....that I did not realize...how different the spaceship thing in the logo looks...its completely different. Is not the same one we see the scions use. Wtf is going on
Thing is your giving zenos, in his mind, the ultimate gift and pleasure. He only knows combat and the thrill of the fight and fighting to the limit and beyond. If you had refused you would of been far worse for him and more insulting. By granting him one last fight with the only one to challenge him and give him pleasure you are allowing him to end in happiness and bliss enjoying the one thing that gives his life meaning. So you may not want to fight and not kill him but for the reasons stated granting the fight is the kindest thing you can do for him.
You know how in anime intros they show badass scenes ONLY made for the OP? I'm convinced Yoshi-P and the devs were like: Hey, the ending of the game is going to be you PLAYING one of those.
I never, EVER seen someone with such a Savage-level Sus for Zenos in my life 🤣😂 Bruh I think you lewd for him if you saw someone looks exactly like him 😂 And that's a compliment 😁 Also, I'm 95% sure we will Zenos again, as Yoshi-P has mentioned - " If an important NPC is either dead or their story is over, we will get their Expansion-version Minion" :)
Fighting Zenos 1v1, on the edge of existence, after defeating a manifestation of Death. It can’t get more anime than that. As a WoW player, thanks for making me feel THE powerful protagonist and being recognized by others for it.
Whats crazy about FF14, is that whether youve been there from the beginning, or joined into later expansions, weve all been through this journey. Weve all come to this point. People who have started playing last month will have so much story to go through it will take them a few months, to the point it almost has the same effect... The effect that YOU as a player, fast forwarding through story, ready to get into the action just like your novice WoL, slowing down and learning going through the same heartbreaks and joys the story provides, and by the end of it all, your outlook will totally have changed from the beginning of your journey, hell you as a person have changed. It hits super hard for me especiall_, having been here for all 8 years this story has existed. So much growth from us as players, the devs as writers, your character and all of the scions, even the side characters you meet along the way.. and to have an ending that properly reflects all of it..? What a fucking masterpiece in game story telling.
Now that I think about it, I think Meteon is supposed to represent Pandora's Box. She "opened the box" (aka: sent out into space to find the meaning of life), and unleashed all the evils trapped within (aka: the End of Days which took control of the creation magicks and unleashed the Terminus Beasts). The one blue Meteion is the last thing that remains in the box: Hope.
the endsinger is the amalgamation of EVERY SINGLE SOUL that perished in the dead stars that the meteia visited. BILLIONS of souls lost in despair. thats why endsinger is pure despair an dresignation
Makes me wonder... will we see the other shards of Zenos in the other worlds in the future updates? Are they also obsessed with fighting.. or obsessed in a different thing... that might relate to the WoL... Will we see the unsundered ancient Zenos?
What if it turns out Zenos is the shard of Hythlodaeus. Someone who seeks out simple pleasures, and unexpectedly finds friendship in Azem (one sided as it may have been this time)
that was the only end zenos could have, but at the end we give him what he wanted : a challenge against the only one who make him push over his limit, the only one that make him feel alive. "that, I can deny" is the true answer. : he make us just remember that we dont play the game not only to be THE TRUE HERO and save the world everytime, but to just enjoy fighting powerfull ennemy for joy and break our limits in our personnal goals. Zenos is really underrated, it's sad. He's really cool !
dang. watching the cutscenes with a bunboi WoL is such a feast to the eyes. XD Nice playthrough, Savix! I love the Zenos fight as well! He's such a hard foe to beat. That test of reflex always get me. :)))
It's cringe how many peoiple don't understand tht Zenos is basically breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to the player in the end. "That I can’t deny" is 100% the correct answer if you actually understood the scene.
