Savzj was salty about his Geosculpter lowrolls, but honestly, it put out 11/10 worth of pressure over those two turns, and threatened a whole lot more. I think it performed very well that game, making excellent pressure using only one card (which got card for card value).
Developers commented on this. Y'shaarj is a god of rage, he doesn't fit the theme of "recruiting" minions. The developers wanted the player to feel like Y'shaarj is pulling a minion from the void to fight for him. Also, having it not use the word recruit makes it easier for new players to understand.
