Savotta has to be good at marketing as not every one goes with the "bye once cry once". Their adds display the quality of there work in the environments it will endure. Only if big companies like apple showed what your brand new titanium phone would look like after you accidently sit on it. Another company/ branch of a company that does this really well is g-shock though I think with all the collectables take away from the brilliance f the mud man and the ranger series.
Most companies: Why is´t our advertisement working even after we stick it down there throat every start and end of a YT video??? Savotta: Here is product with product noise.
What did you just do?! My life was calm and good after getting Hatka few months ago to fully compliment my back back portfolio. And now you released Kahakka! My backpack fever is on rise again! 🤒 Only problem is that my Jääkäri S works perfect and still looks like brand new even after 2 years of daily use.
Kiitos. Minä ostin pienemmän reppu. Rakastan sitä. Parhain on. Minun isä ois tykänyt. I live in Canada now but the chance to buy Finnish and connect with my ancestral blood and discover the exceptional quality brought me here. I am totally satisfied.
I don't even need the Video. The Sound alone is absolute satisfying for me. 😅 Got my first savotta backpack today (Jääkäri L, second hand) btw and I'm totally in love with it 🙂👍🏻
Justiinsa tilasin Lekalta. Olen käyttänyt Jääkäri S reppua sen julkaisusta asti, lähes päivittäin. Mielenkiinnolla odotan, kuinka paljon samaa sekä erilaista käytettävyyttä Kahakka 25 tuo.
Sure thing, we've been doing that since the 1960's. We've both designed and manufactured most tents and load carrying systems of the FDF, and lots of other gear too. The FDF has always been our biggest client.
00:00 no extra pouches attached, only elastic cord kit & GITD patch kit added 00:23 2 x side pouches 4L attached on the back 00:24 fitting Fiskars field shovel to OOTB side pocket 00:30 GITD patch kit 00:35 elastic cord kit 01:05 now carrying also Savotta FDF sleeping pad 01:10 ...but what is this one attached to the back of Kahakka... is it Askare?
Question @Savotta: Can the 15l Kahakka be attached to Multiday packs like the Jakkeri M or L? Given they come with G-Hooks already and removable Straps. Would be nice to know. Means I could use the more versatile 15l instead of the Hatka. Giving me a summer pack for temperate climates. Jakkeri M a s winter pack/overnighter. Combined it would make a great week+ setup. Prefer steel D rings and G-hooks over the SR-buckles for slim/sturdy.
Sure it can, but you need to come up with "something" to make it happen. One pretty simple mod would be threading female SR buckles onto the side compression straps and then attaching the side compression straps of the Jääkäri M or L to those.
@@Savotta Thank you for the swift response. The “hack” will be no problem. Was already searching and it seems in one of your pictures there’s a 15l attached to a bigger pack😊 Would be nice to see the steel D-rings being used in the Jakkari series too. More flexible for the individual wearer.
@@Savotta Can you please look into making a Savotta Jääkäri S that has the D rings for different straps and hip belt. I love the pack but having it capable of scaling up and down with what i use year round would be amazing. Also please let us buy that thicker foam padding separately.
Thank you! It took some time to find the sweet spot of balance between functionality and common sense, but these turned out pretty darn nice in the end.
I'm not a soldier, not a weekend warrior nor am I even a happy camper (except ingame) I just like this kind of stuff. Modular and usefull. Will buy one when I'm looking for a new bag. Maybe some day you could make a camera backpack?? (^_^)
Thanks! Since we make and use a lot of backpacks, and also use cameras, this is something that has crossed our minds many times. But we haven't got any plans to make camera packs at the moment.
You can carry a laptop or tablet in the hydration bladder comparment, but it is not padded from the bottom or sides so we really recommend using a protective cover.
@@tomzeru The bladder compartment is approximately 27 cm wide, 40 cm high and can fit quite thick stuff, like a radio which is 10 cm wide at the sides. Since laptops vary a bit in external dimensions, especially with different types of protective covers, it's best to go with these measurements to see if yours will fit or not. We can't say with 100% certainty that a particular size of laptop will fit perfectly.
But its also missing everything that the Jääkäri has going for it ^^; it is a fundamentally different backpack. I just really wish that the Jääkäri had some velcro on the inside.
We only ship to EU countries at the moment, but we have many retailers who ship worldwide, check these out: www.varusteleka.com/en/collection/savotta/85?sort=new viranomainen.fi/en/tuotemerkintuotteet.php?_id=233
@@Savotta do you happen to know about the post on savotta subreddit about folds in kahakka back? I read some complaints that the folds created are uncomfortable against one's back. Any comments?
@@ManWith2Hats We don't follow Reddit so can't really comment on that. But if there's some visually clear folds that could be a manufacturing defect, and in such cases you should always contact our customer support directly for help.
@@ManWith2Hats These are so short, compared to the Jääkäri M, that a side zipper would just be silly. It would also be very short, so digging stuff out through it wouldn't be very practical. With the Jääkäri M you may have junk on top of the lid and under it, and there is the drawcord collar, which slows down access through the top. With the Kahakkas you can't have any junk on top or under the lid, and the lid is super fast to open too. Air channels and standoff between pack and body are more important for bigger packs. We wanted to keep the Kahakkas as close to the body as possible and proper air channels would mean a few added centimeters there.
Savotta nomenclature is very cool, with Hatka, Kahakka, Askare etc. How about -Akka for the ladies -Tarakka for bikers -Mellakka for police gear -Urakka for work wear -Navakka for sailing -Matka for luggage -Sivakka for skiers -Silakka for fishermen -Tanakka for larger gentlemen -Kapakka for beer enjoyers Yours for free.
