Fun fact: there has been a dead pigeon on the netting under the track (right at the end, just as the vid ends) that hasn’t been taken away they had been lying there since probably 2015. It’s 2019 now and every time I go on the ride I pay my respects to the pigeon. RIP UPDATE- I went to fright nights this year (2020) and it has since been removed, rest in peace pigeon friend :(
went on it during fright night, was my first time at a theme park and the lack of seatbelts did scare me when it went upsideown you do slide out of your seat but you are held in tightly.
It should have said “I want to play a game” before the lift up to the drop, then “game over” right up at the climax right before it drops you. I don’t know, saying game over right before the slow journey to the top of that drop was kind of anticlimactic
You have probably ridden this ride but in the station, two cars are dispatched at once with the first one as shown in this video going straight through with the second train stopping before the indoor drop with the puppet doing a preshow, the ride is a lot better on the second car.
Eve. Lucy when I first went on it, I asked my friend ( Cuz she’d been on it before ) if there was any big drops in the dark!! She was no like no ur fine!! I was like u biiitttccchhh lol xx
Went on Saturday and was my very first time at a theme park, I wanted to get over my fear of roller coasters and i did not know anything at all about them went into this completely oblivious and it absolutely traumatised me. Eyes open the first time was such a huge mistake, went on all the other ones with my eyes closed and rode saw a second time eyes closed! Avoided Stealth like the plague tho 😂
Not for me. The drop is scary but after that the ride is fine. Stealth is by far the scariest at Thorpe Parka dn always will be for the foreseeable future.
I rode sky drop at norfolk pleasure beach and my hair got caught on a light on sky drop ride i freaked out the ride attendant got it out for me tho so always do a side braid or ponytail so it wont get in the way
***** I'd have thought wearing trousers (or shorts if it's summer) would keep those in check. Pubes would only be an issue if you rode it naked, but I'm sure security would arrest a naked person the minute they set foot in Thorpe Park, or anywhere else for that matter.
I went on a ride in Disney Paris (Indian Jones Temple one can't remember) and the sent where hard and slippery I was sliding underneath the thing to keep you in I sure I wouldn't have but I thought I was going to slip out because I quiet small so head on for dear life and I banged my head of it really hard it hurt a lot.
I’m nine years old and 54” tall. I was small enough to keep my head banging on sides of roller coasters except Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and The Incredible Hulk Coaster. I loved those two
@@clearcasket1555 Yes, the back gains more speed than the front. By the time the back is at the top, it get's pulled fast down by the front which is already down or halfway down. So if you want to go faster over the drop, sit at the *back* not the front. But the front is nice for a view.
Love the way this ride combines the queue, coaster, and indoor elements. It’s easy to miss, but the first corkscrew has you flying through the iconic, corpse-laden bathroom from the first movie. I think my favorite part is the very end; due to some clever positioning, you can see the next train falling into the saw blades right before you disembark.
@@petercdowney it's literally just a very standard eurofighter. It's nowhere near the most intense or the most special, not in its own category and especially not when put up against Gigas, flying coasters, 4th dimension coasters, intamin accelerators, etc. If you want a another Gertslauer that's more intense than this (and has a launch) look up Junker. Kärnan and TMNT Shellraiser also are intense.
went to Thorpe Park for the first time today on a school trip, honestly Saw in my opinion is the best ride in the park. for those who haven't gone on it bc it looks scary, trust me this is coming from someone who screamed on Flying Fish. You'll enjoy this definitely. it's got a great theme and the course is spectacular. Great job Thorpe Park 👍🏻
I’m about to go tomorrow but I’m just trying to find out what the queue and the dark sections are like. Could you explain to me what happens during them?
I love this ride, the queue was scary when it had the loud noises etc and the scariest part for me is the bit in the dark when you slow down and air hits you all over the body 🤣
The drop in the dark ride section of this ride gave me quite the scare. I wasn't expecting it at all. So yeah I screamed my head off. The other parts were fine. A nice compact, short but intense coaster. Beautifully themed as well.
Hello, theme park rider. I want to play a game. Up to now, you have ridden many rides and say that you can ride anything. You claim to be brave and tough and act as if there is nothing you can't overcome. Today, you will ride my ride. In a few seconds, the machine connected to your coaster car will start up, sending you on a wild ride of twists, turns and drops. The seat belt and restraints will hold you securely, but that does not completely undo the danger. You are likely to become frightened enough by this to have a heart attack, which could kill quickly. Or you may get very ill and feel like vomiting. And there will be no help or relief available until the end of the ride. Are you truly strong enough that you can overcome such hazards? Live or die, rider...the choice is yours.
Went Thorpe park with my step mum, aunt and cousins mid 2020, to get over my fears of loop and drop coasters, let's just say after this ride I'm now an official coaster fanatic, this ride is truly an amazing experience! Best ride along with swarm, definitely a must ride!
Today was my first time on this. I was a bit freaked out when I saw the vertical part while queing (I was almost at the front, so couldn't back out) When it first really gets going, you don't have time to finish one scream before you're flung around agian! :D But then you get 20 seconds in and it's fucking AMAZING! Even managed to time it and give the camera a thumbs up XD The vertal part is the best though, it moves so slowly, you feel like you're going to fall out, and that moment when it tips up, it feels like you're in freefall for ages! Next trip to Thorpe Park, I'm going to ride Saw over and over again! :D
After the unexpected bit in the dark I wanted to get off. Damn. 53 years old, too old for that shit. Three hours later I did the Colossus, which finished me off. Was going to do the Stealth but after the C, sod off. Lol.
The drop was so unexpected. I thought there wouldn't be a drop, so i was just casually fixing myself. It came, and it hit me hard. I didn't even see it was coming. There was such scare and force, I was contemplating if I would pass out. Scary ride, but I wouldn't want to go on it again. Colossus makes you head bang onto the sides. It's a fun, but rough ride. Both are. 10/10 The Swarm is the best: -Comfortable -Scary -Fun -Safe -Certainly NOT rough -Somewhat relaxing after u go on it the second time :))
If you ride the second train of two in the loading station, you get the full pre show of jigsaw riding about on his bike. You saw the drive by version at @0:15 This is to allow time for the front car to clear the inversion and start up the vertical lift. You'll also get a longer show at the foot of the vertical lift hill to allow the first train to get to the high block brake.
i hadn't been on any roller coaster like saw before (like big and fast) and this was the first EVER rollercoaster i went on in my life. i regret nothing.
Rya Knoche Haha, lol. what else they gonna take from us. (THIS IS A JOKE.) But still, it’s bad that Harry Potter is an English thing yet America has a bigger and better Harry Potter attraction. 😭
i feel like it’s more scarier at dark, you have the adrenaline when you’re lining up, inside i didn’t know there was gonna be a drop and absolutely scared me. then going up the stairs when waiting in the queue was scary for me too, i thought some person was gonna jump scare me! only jumpscare you get is the gunshots, GOD i did not expect it AT ALL. going down the drop on the ride, my head went down and i couldn’t pick it up after a good 5 seconds 🤣
First time going on this yesterday, amazing thriller themed ride. It's such a similar track to the smiler but saw themed and honestly it beat smiler for me, which hasn't been possible until now. Sitting in the front seat is so worth it, you get to see this terrifying row of spikes as you go down the first drop and it feels like you're about to die, and if you're sitting in the front you get splashed right in the face by that "blood" so worth waiting, fast track was even a longish wait too because the ride is so popular
The only thing similar between the smiler and this is that they're both manufactured by gerstlauer and use the same track type. Layout wise they are very different
Brilliant ride, the indoor section and outdoor section is truly amazing, probably the only rollercoaster ive been on that has got me feeling scared, not coaster itself, just the aura of it
First time I went on this I was extremely dehydrated and I was already feeling woozy in the queue. I’d watched this video many times and was aware of the drop in the beginning but because my mind wasn’t all there I forgot about it and my stomach dropped into my ass.
Little Misty-eyed my mum went twice before she took me. She went with her best friend Tracey, then a year later, took my stepdad. When I was 10, she took me and I knew about the drop (bc she told me in the queue) and my stepdad didn’t. So apparently he “screamed like a little girl”. Bear in mind this was about 5 years ago. He would’ve just turned 35 then? And he’s 40 in a few months. I was 10. And I barely reacted to it 😂
By far scariest but best ride at Thorpe park. I know stealth is hella fast and swarm has it all with the first drop and setting but saw is a full package ride I loved the thrill of it and it was enjoyable too.
I love this ride. Also I love the feel of nemesis inferno. I think it's your legs dangling and it feels quite smooth comaperd to some other rides. I wish it was a longer though.
I loved this ride soo much when i went on it with my friend. I went on it twice, its my fav one ive always been scared to do a rollercoaster but i enjoyed every minute of it
WOW! I live in wales and my parents grew up in England and I always hear them talking about Thorpe Park and yet I’ve still never been! Lockdown better end soon cause I NEED to go there now!😂
I love all the setups and all the sound effects and the ride overall is so fun I’ve only been on it 5 times in my life but imma say the best bit is 100% the indoor bit where ur in that room at the start xxx
ngl this is one if not the scariest coaster because of the theme and the indoor section and teh track layout geurstlaw did a amazing job and Thorpe park.
