I dropped it after episode 4 cause it was just boring. In terms of the storyline. Did I misjudged it?

I think its like a muscle cramp when they get broken, also I'm surprised the blades were that fragile since earlier they had enough strength to lift a full sized man and slice through a handgun, plus look what they did to those stone graves! Either the blades are super brittle in the middle or Sawa even outside of Bird Mode has some freakish super strength to snap them like that

@@Crescendobro at the end when sawa punched her, she flew a good distance and there was definitely a good amount of force, so I think sawa has more strength than usual in her non bird form as well

Those blades are connected to her nervous system, so she could control them like burrowing them underground for precise sneak attack, so obviously when they snap it hurts like hell, because those are basically her body parts.

There were probably better fighting styles suited for these "whipping blades" that she didn't use/doesn't know lol. She could have rlly used them like whips, just like "hummingbird" from deadman wonderland, so her blades wouldn't wiggle around all the time. She was basically stagnant most of the fight and solely relied on the mid to long range advantage her blades gives her but that's it... If she would have considered them more like a long arm, she would have also been more cautious with them, I'm sure lol.

Maybe Sawa due to her blue blood she can get higher strength than average people

It is a bit rough in some aspects, but with some adjustments here and there it can really be outstanding. But no doubt this show already surpassed my expectations and is quite underrated...

You watch to much anime go play a sport bro, get injured, and come back and tell me if you completely blocked out the pain in the "heat of the moment".

@A B I never said it makes you untouchable you gotta read what I said again. Adrenaline doesn't make you completely numb either you have to do some research. All adrenaline does is boost you for a couple min and lessens the pain inflicted on you. In no way does it make you completely numb to pain. If that were the case then we're all super man lol.

I think there's a misunderstanding here on your part. Rinko's claws aren't flimsy or easily severable. It's just that Sawa is LITERALLY that strong, even outside of her transformed state. If you need proof of it, just look at that very last shot where Sawa sends Rinko flying with a single punch.
