Sawgrass Mills: The Ultimate Outlet Mall in Florida?

Hello Hoppers! Sawgrass Mills is supposedly the second most visited tourist sight in Florida, after Walt Disney World! Can you believe that? Well, I had to see for myself what made this MEGA MALL so special.
The place is so big that I only got to see about a third of the whole thing. It is divided into the Main Mall, which has four "Avenues" to shop from; the "Oasis", which is an outdoor component; and the "Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass", which is an area of upscale shopping. So, in total there are about 350 stores, ranging from outlets to retailers, to discount.
Sawgrass Mills Mall is located at 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise, Florida, in Broward County.

Believe it or not I've been going to that mall ever since I was a new born. I've lived in Florida my whole life and still am. I know my way through the whole mall. I also live close to it too.

I know that mall, is beautiful, lot of people from all nations. You can find anything you desire. I was living for 10 years in that amazing state. and now Im living in Mexico and I hope to come back soon:

The older I get the more I realize that malls mostly carry lots of items that are really not necessary. Other than supermarkets and an occasional needed item, most of the "stuff" is just an opportunity to spend money on "stuff" to keep your miserable feelings at bay. Shopping is mostly an addiction and although it is nice to purchase a special "fun" item from time to time, how much can one really spend on the "stuff" that is being sold. When you realize that Coach is a very successful stock, it tells you that so many people think that having a "great" pocket book is important. As the world around them gets more fucked up by the moment, they find their bliss in spending their money on crap! Have fun.

MuchoHop I have no problem if someone is even addicted to shopping. It is none of my business. I only take exception to people who wish to put it on social media and feel special about their illness.

They closed down a Build-a-Bear Workshop there. The only place there for children. I'm a little disappointed in this mall. It used to be for adults and children alike but not anymore. The only thing there is Rain forest Cafe but nothing much else. If you have children and want to go in a mall, go to the Coral Square Mall, not too far from there.

+Shiny S. Network thanks for sharing that! Yes, I remember the Bear store, really cute. I don't see Sawgrass Mills as a place for children. It's too "hard core" in terms of shopping, I mean people bring suitcases to put their purchases!!! That is just crazy. And honestly, I'm just as happy or happier at a smaller mall. +Judy Hopps/ Shiny Skies Back when I lived there in 2003-2005, there used to be a place for children called *WannaDo City*. You paid like I think $35 and could either stay or leave them there while they played in a city built just for kids. Unfortunately I just found out that they closed it down in 2011

+Lady Mcalady I used to go there a lot. It's a shame. I went on the very last day of operation. I remember being Judge Judy and then I was a cop arresting criminals. It was such a fun place, I don't understand why they had to close all the good stuff

Boy if I had Michael Jordan's money...I'd have a house with a huge indoor area and bought all of the rides and the vehicles! What kid wouldn't love that?
