Beautiful wood. Even the lower graded boards. Thanks Mark, Ed, Pete, & the mystery guy. Tell ZZ to get well & my daily prayers to his health. 😑🙏 I missed him. ( My best friend/ small farmer gets ticks all the time. Both him & his wife looks for ticks. 😖🙄🤔😬😑😔🙏) 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏
Five o’clock in the morning them are nice boards make a good trailer floor hard wearing, having an early start cutting firewood before we go and dismantle a milking parlour another farmer giving up milking , you guys have a nice day
I've cut down oak trees for firewood, and fresh has a great smell to it, and have used it to cook steaks and chicken and the smoke has a great smell to it. I love everything about trees and its one of the greatest natural resource.
Nice looking oak. I was up there that morning. Sat in my truck for a bit. Forgot my ear protection and there were already some visitors there. Might be up again. Thanks Mark
Si hermoso rollo, una lástima que se termina sacando tablas angostas, cuando se tendría que aprovechar y sacar más tablas anchas que tienen más valor y se venden más...
HI MARK that is a nice white oak log when U find them like that ,that did saw some nice boards how boards did U saw in all there was a many rail road ties sawed from logs like many years ago U had 2 have rail road ties 4 the train tracks MARK alot lumber will stain like that quick U have 2 stack the lumber it has 2 have air and sunshine ☀ 2 dry like it's suppose 2 keep it from bowing and twisting 😊😊 OMG 7 13 2O23
U don't find many white or red oak logs like any more when U do its a bonus and a plus that's when U can really saw great lumber in a day's time OMG 7 13 2O23
That would have made some lovely qs/rift lumber. We used to square a log, then bring out to cant such that you cut through the pith and produce two large cants. If you have a good touch, you stop your line just before passing through the log. You reverse the carriage and pop the cant with the turner … separating it back onto the log deck. Lastly, you use the turner to bump the cant back on the deck to the half moon and secure it from moving.😂
Oak tannins react on ferrous and nonferrous metals, about the only thing he could do is to put a Teflon coating and that won’t hold up to the “Booms” or rubbing from turning the logs for very long.
Just curious as to why you go to the trouble of having that guy trim the spurs off with the chainsaw? That's gonna come off anyway in the slab of the adjoining face or in an edger strip off of a board from the adjoining face.
Hello Mark; what would you recommend for board and bat siding on a cabin? I live over here in east Ohio. I will need about 210 l/f of horizontal coverage to go around the cabin and 8’ of vertical to cover. Id prefer 8” to 10” wide. And is that something you could supply?
I have a few questions . How deep does the tanic acid stain go into wood and you mentioned the log would have to be moved if you had a mecanical breakdown . Would it damage wood or carage steel?
@@markgalicic7788 yes, but i meant the central heart part that you discarded at the end. It will probably not stay cery straight when drying but is also nice wood.
