Hearing your word of the day reminded me of my wife. She was in the hospital after heart related surgery and my son and I saw her in recovery. we said our goodbyes because my son and I had been there all day and were tired. She told me she loved me as we left. A couple of hours later I got a call from the hospital telling me she had passed. So her last words to me and mine to her were "I love you."
That was the first time I've seen red elm as you said it did have some spring in it ..I love you guys mixing in different spices of trees I keep on learning thanks so much👍👍
Happy Easter Mr. Horvath. It sounds like maybe your loader could use a little grease?? I like your advice about keeping heavy loads as low as possible. Safety can't be stressed enough. Our dairy Barn is elm truss, 125 years old and still a perfectly straight roof. I can only imagine how good it would be for this purpose. You have to love love for sure. Have a great day.
I have made a habit of saying I love you to my family and friends when I talk to them sometimes they say it back and sometimes they don't but I tell them the next time I talk to them at least they know how I feel. So tell they how you feel about them. Love you guys, stay safe, and God bless. Dan 🇺🇸
Hi Ed. Beautiful lumber. It reminds me of the elm trees in Vermont in the early 1980s. They were tough trees to split. They were easy 12 to 14 inches wide. 2 foot plus was very tough wood. 🥵🥵🥵😱😱😱🤔🤔🤔 Some of it was so wet. It smelled like wet leather. We found it. If you let in be in many freezing nights. Then manual splitting wasn't too bad. ( We couldn't afford to rent a wood splitter.) Wood wedges & 8 lbs sledge hammer. It was fabulous " dry" firewood. However. It " sizzles & pops" when wet. The coals are so hot. 🔥🔥🔥 I'm unsure the difference between " red" & "regular " elm trees? So nice in lumber form. Question? How does it stand up to all weather conditions? Thanks. Yes. You don't say enough love. To people you most loved. Then. When it's thier time to leave Earth. I felt. I'm didn't say: I love you enough. I made sure. I love my mom enough. She passed away March 31st, 2023 at 7 pm. 💐💐🙏🏻🙏🏻 Important to say" I love you." To your loved ones. But. I've got that " gut feeling." They know. I don't regret my actions. That's my personal opinion. However. Other people are different & different experiences. Have a safe & happy Easter Ed, your wife, & families. As well as Mark & families. Then ZZ & families. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🍻🍺
Stands up to weather really good. What we have here is red elm so that’s what I know not sure if that’s regular elm. Sorry about your loss of your mother. That’s a tough one. Thank you for sharing
Elm makes good truck bed and side board lumber , not good for firewood , takes it a long time to dry out and it's very hard to split, I've graded a little KD elm in my almost 28 years of lumber grading .
Love makes the world go around. But you have to love yourself before you can love others. All too often the word is just a word when there is no real meaning or feeling associated with it
Good video, that metal detector has probably saved you guys hundreds of dollars detecting metal in the logs. Word of the day today "LOVE" cannot get much better than that. :) Reminds me of this: Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up, Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the Truth; Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
I don't know if Elm is the same from state to state but in Minnesota We call it piss Elm (forgive my language ), Cuz when you saw it P U. My Babies are all grod up and when I see them or talk to them on the phone or text them I don't say good by I say I LOVE YOU, I'm grateful for the day.
