In this video we saw some 2x6 for our pole barn build! I go over in the beginning of the video, the true nature of our sunken logs. I am still fine tuning and adjusting the Woodmizer lx55 so I am sure if you look hard you can notice a thing or to needing tweaking. #lumber #woodmizer #sawmill #sawmillbusiness

In the late '70s, we salvaged 38 large diameter white line logos from a lake. We think they had been there since the hurricane of 42.

You mentioned a video where you're gonna compare the woodmiser to the woodland mills, And why you switched. Looking forward to that one

That would be interesting , Fall Line Ridge is the man to go to for advice on Woodmizer , I think he's on his 3 rd now .. The Woodland Mills man would have to be Sawing with Sandy , I've watched his vids for years , the first man to learn to cut from the bottom ,, he's got it down to a fine art ,,

Great job, my wife & I enjoy watching your videos. We watch a lot of them. Her & I work well together doing things that we need to get done also. We are having trouble finding Brittany's page though, if you could send us a link. Thanks

In south Louisiana we buy what is called sinker cypress witch at first in late 80’searly90’s was ax cut trees lost in the bayous and rivers along the way to the mill 150 years ago ! Giant trees that made beautiful lumber but as time went on those became harder to find so they started pulling them out of big lakes that were basically blow down trees with the root ball still attached , thing is they may have blown down a thousand years ago so the natural tannin in the wood is gone replaced by brackish water so when cut it comes off the mill beautiful but as it dries it slowly turns green still pretty but no natural rot resistance left. Sorry for the rambling

Sweet cuttin mill. I’ve had a 15 for quite a few years. I see a few improvements on your mill I wouldn’t mind having. Yal take care and tighten up every chance yal get. AC

Nice job. I wonder if you could make the push bar easily high adjustable. Might make pushing the head more easy for shorter people I suppose. Kind regards Christiaan

Doesn't appear adjustable, does it? Maybe one of the few things about the 55 I don't like. REAL close to ordering one though. The bar DOES appear VERY sturdy so maybe actually weld an addition? Or a temporary clamp modification?

Watch video from about 6:20. Clearly there are options to add a lower, or higher for that matter, push bar.

Damn good work, question though is your W/M 55 hard to push or your going slow for a better cut?

Just sorting it out. Only ran a couple logs so far and trying to get a feel for it. So running slow.

This is probably the best place to ask since you didn't have it long and i've only seen a few videos on it.. i'm debating on a perhaps distant perhaps not purchase between the WM HM126 and the LX50SUPER which from everything i can gather is the same mill as the LX55 was minus the adjustable blade guide (which is a dumb thing to remove but moving on.. i know you hated the HM126 and i am at this point leaning a hair to the LX50SUPER but the lack of videos about it online and long term reviews have me a little on the fence they have a weird marketing problem with this line where they had the LX25 and its gone and the LX50 which i think was EU only? and the LX55 which was US? its confusing as hell now the LX50START & SUPER. I'm worried about the quality of it being one of their few offerings not made in the USA. I saw a video of a guy with an LX25 which had a lot of paint peeling off after i think a year or less and I'm not talking about a wear area like the bunks no, it was the black uprights on the head.. paying that much for a machine makes me leery even though its the cheapest entry level option you can get save the HM126 its still a lot for a newcomer to justify and risk. I am still leaning LX50SUPER even though its about $300 more right now even with the deal.. because i do think the frame is much thicker.. i would have preferred full box bunks but maybe the thickness makes up for it.. can you hit some highlights on what you think was bad about the HM 126 and areas that the LX55 (as best i can tell same as the LX50SUPER) outshined it.. the fact that you got rid of it so fast made me wonder if it wasn't that good.

I would stick with Wood-Mizer. It’s usually worry free. My woodland was constantly needing attention.

Do those logs actually sink, or are they floating.
