Don't forget that they were considered "too rock n roll" back in the day BEFORE they were accepted. The younger generation decided that they didn't care what it was...they liked it.
MARK....We love you! HOBIE...We love you! SHAYNE...We love you! JOE.... we love you! Thank you all for sharing your talents with us. There are no fans greater than your loyal SB Nation!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
There is a word that floats light-years above our implied meaning of the word, 'smooth." This is where this song and the album have come from. Thank you all for your beautiful music. I am cranking this loudly for all to hear in Mountain Home Idaho. Desperado Troubadors will withstand the test of time. Beautiful, we all are.
Been listening to you guys since '86 when my ears knew what country was. Thank you gentleman...thank you for your efforts and your solid roots and amazing talent.
Absolute CLASSIC Sawyer Brown.... the reason you are the best- bar none. While others sell out and change; you have stood the test of time and never changed! Gonna be listening to this one alot!! Congrats Gentlemen!! ❤❤❤❤
I saw them on Star Search too!!! And I knew instantly they would be a hit!!! And they have never disappointed. I love, love you guys in SB.. there isn't anything y'all can't sing!!! And your voices..you're so set apart from regular country. You hear your voice and we know instantly it's y'all!!! Keep rocking guys for y'all are one of country's best groups ever!!! Still lovin y'all in 2024 at 54 in Alabama!!!
i guess we all get old..... I'm 61 now. I can remember sitting in the audience in 1983 ~~~. watching the unknown band at STAR SEARCH contest. Went to over 12 cities, just to see MARK MILLER and the guys...... Bravo for bring me back down to earth with this song !
I certainly didn't think I could love this song more than when I first heard it, but danged, if I don't. It hit me right in my heart, like Gypsies on Parade did all those years ago. I know your road has been paved with a lot of sacrifices along the way, something people don't generally think of - the missed little league games and birthdays, the nights spent alone in a bunk or in a hotel. I once heard you say that the 22 hours on the road was "work" not the two hours on stage. I think about all the people who aren't there anymore, Hoot, the Guys Next Door, Bobby Randall, Blazer, Dave Hill and Carl, so many come and gone, but you have always remained true to what God called you to do. Thank you does not seem like enough, but thank you for taking us along with you.
I’m 42yrs old & as a teenager Sawyer Brown was pretty much all I listen to. I would pop a tape or cd in my boombox and listen till I fell asleep. My first concert was a Sawyer Brown concert as well. This song hits that core of what music used to be and should be. Forever a fan!
I can't explain how I am feeling right now. Thank you for staying true to yourselves and your fans. How wonderful that you have brought us new life with this album!!
What a song, what an album! My husband shared this album with me and I am so glad he did.. Some songs gave me chills, some made me teary, but all of them made me want to sing along. tI do not ever write reviews or comment on things I like, but I LOVE THIS. I feel this album deep in my core. Thank you for the music!
Thank You it's not enough for what you've done for us, and what you continue to do 💥💯‼️So all I can say is I pray for Prosperity for you and yours all your days and in all that you do and may you continue sharing your Gifts and your Abilities . Your song hits to the core of my very soul and has convinced me and driven me to go back to my music!(Best Song Ever)🙏🤟💯‼️
I'm so glad you stayed true to yourselves on these years! Love hearing you again! Such great harmonies and seeing the bond you guys have! Lots of love to you and you'll always be one of the best country bands!!😀❤❤🙏
Oh Good Gawd Gerty!!!! It was totally Sawyer Brown from all the way back when!!! You cowboys and hippies are back on the leather! Yeeeee efffffin Haaaaaa can’t wait for a concert near me!!!
I was absolutely mesmerized by the music the singing. I love how it's in black and white....perfect . The lyrics are so "that's me" such as "to stubborn not to do things our own way". Plus you've described yourselves perfectly(just my opinion) The definition alone Desperado troubadour. ❤
Another beautiful song by my favorite band of all time. I just wish it was longer with lots more verses. It is so beautiful I wish it just kept going longer and longer. The video is touching and makes me contemplate my life journey. Where I've been, where I'm at and where I may still go....... Thank you for persevering and continuing to create magic for us your fans. Nothing would make us happier than to hear your beautiful music on true country radio once again guys.
Oh sawyer brown thank you. Thank you thank you i remember watching you guys on star search. The whole family was gathered round the tv hoping you all would win . You guys are great
I have a soundtrack to my life in my head, like I am sure many of us do. I'm X-Gen, and I thank God for the music He has let flow through my brothers and sisters in those sweet years gone by. This album, in its entirety, is the most beautiful testimony to that soundtrack of my life. This album says it all for me and is a beloved gift from these musicians. Thank you for this masterpiece. Love ya.
Sawyer Brown will always be my favorite group in country music! Mark's book is an absolute read! I felt like I was right there living every moment with him, that's how well written his book is. Touched my soul and my heart. Love you Mark❤️ God Bless you and the boys.
The harmony vocals in your songs always makes the song that much better. I've seen you on Star Search, I have listen on record, tape, CD, and radio. I have seen you in concert and watched you rule Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS for many years. Will never get tired of listening to your music. It always brings life and energy into my soul.
Live and let live. And never make that a sentiment to seek and wield power so carelessly. If you are so great, make a leaf. Out of thin air. God is real.
We wear holes in all our highways until they keep us up at night. What a line...brings tears to my eyes. I Just know that highway going lead to peace. Again great song. I pray it is heard often.
Mark....so grateful to have had the chance to reconnect last November. This is an incredibly beautiful song. I am looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. May peace be with Sawyer Brown. Daney Jelley
Sawyer Briwn has been one of the greatest bands ever assembled and to have gone through what they have. By grace of God, they took it and kept the path open and never veered away from what they are and who they were. Thank you for never giving up and bring us your amazing sounds and music
Dammit son you haven’t lost a thing ! Amazing how true professionals that are honest in their presentations can lay it right back on you . Thanks Guys Great Job
Billings Montana 1991. I was in broadcasting school and some of your band spoke to our class- I watched you play basketball at the Y and then attended your concert at the Metra! It was the 6th time I’d seen you in concert. Now I’m up to 12! From Star Search to the present…still the same great music and still my favorite! Shout out to Shayne from Spearfish SD! We are hometown proud! 🎉🎉
Love it! My husband and I were always fans of your music, now it’s just me but I know he can hear you up there! Keep blessing us with good ole country music! Thank you!
Everytime I hear a song from this album, I think " that's my favorite ". Then the next song plays, and THAT'S my favorite, but Desperado Troubadours - now that is classic Sawyer Brown! I can't help but compare it to Gypsies on Parade, and can't wait to see it LIVE!❤
Good stuff Sawyer Brown, don’t listen to a lot of country artists, but your one of them since I saw 800 pound Jesus, I become fans of those with a positive message if not singing about the Lord Jesus Christ
It's amazing❤. Thank you, guys, for all the music and memories over the years. So many have hit home with me or opened my eyes to see another's perspective. We appreciate you all.
Great Song and the Story of my life after the Marine Corps. I saw you once on a Steamy day at Kentucky Speedway. Always loved your Down to Earth real Country Music
