"Kenny Rogers" for Lapidus was spot on. And "the man out there with the eye-liner" for Richard, hahahaha...Without Sawyer, Lost would be too serious.

This is why his character works so well with Juliet because they’re both sarcastic and slightly nerdy

Sawyer certainly reveals a lot about his character with the nicknames he assigns people... a lot of those nicknames are some pretty high brow humor. The guy is certainly "well read," as someone else in the comments noted. :) Of course, my favorites are often still the simpler ones that you just can't get out of your head once he says them. Who doesn't look at Kate and think, "Freckles"? And Faraday... "Welcome to the meeting, Twitchy." XD

My favorites were Gizmo, The Ghost from Christmas Future, H.G. Wells, and Bruce Lee. XD

You know that he is so creative in giving out nicknames because he has wide knowledge, he reads a lot of book and knows pop culture and TV shows/Movies. He's no surgeon, but he's brilliant.

Sawyer is so genuinely happy to see Doc at 1:36. Josh Holloway is so handsome!
