Idk why but vintage saxes to me look so much cooler than modern saxes

Hi, Matt. I really enjoy your vids. I have been repairing horns for 20 years, playing sax profeaaionally for 40. I learned from friendly repair techs and have been fortunate to find them. I wish I had your vids 20 years ago!. I do a good repad and a little soldiering, but no dent work. I have an observation about shipping damage - NEVER use FEDEX! I buy saxes regularly and they damage 80 % of them . UPS is a little better, but I have had a horn totaled by them. I use Us Post office - GROUND - you need to keep the horn out of airports as much as possible since that is where the worst damage seems to happen. You can also choose the hand carry option for $11 extra, so they dont process it on machines. This has worked well for me, since Dent work always has to go to a tech. thanks gor the great vids and great work - your an inspiration.

Hi, Matt. I have a Bundy tenor gold color saxophone. I am looking for a part that is a Swivel Arm located behind the neck screw) to replace by myself. I found this video and you repaired the exact same part I did broke. (starting from 14:01 on this video) The broken part is near the pin key under the crook key ring. The part connects the pin key and the body key on the top of the body. that makes a higher octave. When I found the pin key was bent, I tried to correct it with a hand tool. Then the "swivel arm " broke. The broken swivel arm has a hole and a rod screw inside . The swivel arm used to connect the pin key and body octave key. Where can I order the swivel arm to repair it by myself. Can you recommend any place that I can order part? And what is the name of the part that I need to order? Thank you.

You are an artist man. What are those polygonal patches on the bell?

there was tape on it at some point, I think. when the tape was removed, the parts that were under it were cleaner than the surrounding area.

20:12, pull left from your thumb, it isn't straight. That is . not 90 degrees straight. Nice cigar cutter though, an expensive instrument deserves time.
