Barbara Thompson beats the Rap Music track taken from 1991 Barbara Thompson's Paraphernalia album "Breathless." Video shot and edited by Jon Hiseman summer 2008.
R.I.P. Barbara Thompson (1944-2022). Your work and your importance for the music will remain unforgotten. Despite the illness you played for your fans for so long. Thanks for everything, you stay in our hearts as do Jon and Dick!
All these years of playing and listening and I'm only now catching up to virtuoso Barbara Thompson, we didn't know how wonderful you are in the states...
I loved this the first time I heard it and still think it must be one of the 'Grooviest' tracks I have ever heard - Barbara looks and plays beautifully and Mr Drums - choppy as ever and an extra fine performance from all concerened - as you may have guessed I like this!! Thank You., Mark Freeman - 'met you Jon with Art Wood at D H-S memorial 2006?? All the best....
3:23 - Ich mag es, wenn Barbara zwei Tröten am Mund hat! Alles: Begnadet! Großartig! Schwung! Schönheit! Kraft! Timing! Congratulations to Barbara, John, Peter and the young musicians!
From Keith Jones drummer Barnstaple Devon. Met Barbara and Jon Hiseman when they played at The Queens Hall Barnstaple Devon, I helped set up Mr Hiseman's rogers drum kit (before he started using Pearl) She is a very enjoyable sax player and composer and of course her husband a top drummer. Hope she is still well what with having Parkinson's. Wish all of them well as a family. Take care, God Bless (K.J.) Psalm 23.
: ( I knew she was ill, but thought perhaps her health had gotten better. Here's hoping she has a full recovery. She, Jon, have given us so much great music in all their various endeavours. I just noticed Barbara guested in Keef Hartley 's Little Big Band recently.
I'm not in Denmark! (if you were refering to me of course) It's a damn shame more of these great musicians don't (can't ?) frequent the U.S. concert venues. I used to go to the Kool Jazz Festival every summer. Back when it was actually jazz! THESE are the types of acts that should be on the bill instead of the Kenny G's of the world.
Taken from the album Breathless. This is an interesting video: great track, rampant bulldozers, a squashed saxophone and Jon Hiseman in a dodgy looking hat! What more do you want?
