Would you consider trying out a Keeper's Hive in your Bee Yard? I know I am hoping to!

This is a great innovation that I am looking forward to working with this spring. They have really put a lot of thought into it and lifting nucleus-sized boxes makes this accessible to more people. Nice job on this video! :) Did you buy one?

I am also hoping to work some of these into my apiary. You can definitely tell they but a lot of time, thought, and effort into this project. I have not purchased one, but hope to have one soon!

Propolis is going to prevent the easy sliding of the frames, but I still like the set up and wouldn’t mind having one. Looks Cool !

This is their number one question that was touched on in the video. The have frame guards that prevent the bees from being able to access the end bars of the frames. They also did an actual test where they didn't open a hive for 17 months to see if they would be able to manipulate the frame after that length of time. You can check that video out here and decide for yourself: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sql0FHr555A.htmlsi=weGfNRAXSfp4i91z

Queen excluders?
@BackBeeBrokenBeekeeping
@BackBeeBrokenBeekeeping 4 месяца назад
Are you asking if a queen excluder is used or? I am sorry, just want to clarify.

@@BackBeeBrokenBeekeeping yeah. I’m in Australia and we generally only run an 8 frame brood box then a queen excluder. Then the supers. Mild Winters.

@@joeschultz3873 you would need to check with the actual company to verify, but from what I can tell, they don't. Although it may be comparable
